I am the anti-girly.I have a bunch of guy friends and I give them noogies and punch them in the arm as a friendly jesture, we play soccer and whoop'em cause they can't play soccer for didly! And the only reason I have guy friends that don't have crushes on me (even though at one point they did, I know because my sources told me)is because I'm extremly brutal to them(hurting them on a daily basis)I just slap'em up side the head.

I've always been a big tomboy. I refuse to wear pink, or play with dolls. Everyone gets me girly stuff for Christmas and my birthday, but I'd much prefer to be out mucking stalls or something.

I chose yes.
I've never been much of a girly girl. As a kid I was a tomboy and hated to wear dresses. I would play with bugs, toy guns, toy cars etc. I still do only now it's real cars, real guns and spiders from exotic lands. I like to get gussied up and go out just like any other woman but for the most part I'm still a tomboy.

"I am indifferent!"
why? I don't care. Let the kids follow what they want... as a really small kid (just a mere littler than me) I always hated barbies o.o ...and I always played with like... plastic guns, wrestked, built forts, made houses out of legoes, etc. My mom was never against that... but I always loved stuffed animals xD

Of course i voted yes! I was a girly-girl when i was younger by force, i was always surrounded by barbies and stuff, when i wanted to play with those Hess trucks Hess gives out at x-mas. But know after i got my PS2 (my excuse was the gay girly games) it's all shooting, raceing, and fighting here on out! Of course though my mom still thinks "it's inappropriate for girls.".....oh well that's why i have my dad buy them

. though no matter what, i will have like no athletic ability.

I have never been much of a girly girl. I grew up watching my mom play video games like Resident Evil, racing games, other horror games, Zelda, Metroid, and Tomb Raider. I was perfectly happy watching her play, and I was perfectly happy playing them myself.
I also chose hot wheels and transformers over dolls, and I have never been able to stand pink and frils.

I'm a total tomboy, and I have no liking for the color pink, dresses, or makeup... My choice of clothes are jeans and a t-shirt and a pair of sneakers. Feh... don't really care 'bout my hair, so I just pull it up into a pony-tail. Another thing that most girls love to do but I don't is shopping. I hate spending hour upon hour just trying on random things... I go to the mall or store knowing what the heck I want to buy, get it, and get out!
Oh, and when I was younger, I'd always play with the boys (like games where we were ninjas) instead of play house or that sort of stuff. I hated barbie dolls. Instead my friends and I played with those beast transformers!

It's true that what are considered boys' toys are much more fun to play with. I've never liked girl-type toys, mostly because a lot of them revolved around dolls, at least where I was, and I have automatonophobia, and dolls scare the h*ll out of me. But everybody likes shooting things. Boys' clothing is just easier to move around in and participate in an active lifestyle in. Etc.

I don't know why people think it's weird for a girl to like "guy's" stuff. I mean, I play video games, watch gory anime, read shounen manga, etc. Take for example, Tsugumi Ohba (creator of Death Note) and Hoshino Katsura (creator of D.Gray-man) and we can't forget Arakawa Hiromu, all are mangakas that have/had their works published in shounen manga magazines. The fact that they're women don't stop them from continuing their work.

I've noticed that people have no problems with girls being Tom boys but I have yet to see the reverse. Guys can't like girly things without being called gay.
Example 1;
Girl: I'm wearing Trousers because I'm a modern Woman.
Most of Soceity: Good for you!
Guy: I'm wearing a Skirt (Not a kilt) because I'm a Modern Man.
Most of Soceity: TRANNY! UR GAY! LOLz.
Example 2:
Girl: I'm a Lesbian!
Most of Society: Hooray!...can we watch?
Guy: I'm Gay!
Most of soceity: Dude, weak. You sissy b*tch.
Guys can't win.

thank you all for your comments... especially poopogejio^^
one of my thesis is:
>>
It is right that the "male (guyish) gender" itself represents "adaption to (and inside) society" and it is therefore right even for girls to adapt to society by being guyish and not otherwise!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in reality shows and soaps (sod it, in general TV) they nearly always have a gay person, but never as many lesbians.
Guys go 'woo lesbo's' as they get to see two women do it, its not anything but that.

Thats TV though where moral values are overly stressed to stupid levels. It's just a more complex way of slamming "It's ok to be gay" into peoples heads.

Yea fair points, but like you said TV is desperatly trying to convince people its okay for people to be gay. Society is trying to get people to accept it in some way. Lesbians are steroetyped, and frankly I see more men together in public then women.

I recently came upon a photographer (from Latvia. Whoo!) who put his thoughts like this (in the description of a photo that featured a guy with a pink stuffed bunny)
"Girls can wear jeans and cut their hair short, wear shirts and boots, because it's OK to be a boy,
but for a boy to look like a girl is degrading, because you think that being a girl is degrading."
(He was kinda hot too)

I'd say it's more of an equal representation thing. They can't just fill the show with all white guys 18-35.

just about always having someone who is gay in soaps, it's mainly because when someone is gay, it is often more obvious then when someone is lesbian.
