Wow, this thread is OLD. ohmy.gif

Anyways, Tsubasa has gotten quite angsty. I have to admit that the manga is probably better than the anime ever could be, especially after they decided to put fillers in for the last couple episodes of the second season.

But it's still good in both forms. TRC should get more love. Just like Soi Fong. But that's a different story...
Nekokitty
^Agree with ya here.
Though to be honest, I don't really like the anime for it. :|
I really love the manga. And each chapter gets more exciting.
Oh god, I can't wait for the Acid Tokyo arc to be translated.
Kamui and Subaru from X/1999 appear! <3
I hope Seishiro comes back, not fair for him to appear and end the series without finshing up the whole 'Vampire story'.
Menelvir
Yes, I agree with the general consensus about the anime. Never got past the 3rd or so episode. But I still have the whole thing somewhere around. Maybe I'll give it a second chance when I'm bored enough.

The manga though... That's a different story. Although my local manga translation company seems to have gone on hiatus. Hope they continue soon!!
AnimeFantasy
I have only been reading the manga and only sticking to the manga. =D The anime doesn't look as interesting. This manga series is exceptionally well done. I like how CLAMP is using their characters from their other series except for
Fye and Kurogane... I think.
.
Menelvir
Yea I think you're right AnimeFantasy! They're just about the only two original characters. Wikipedia has a pretty good article about the Tsubasa characters and which series they originated from. =)
Nekokitty
^Indeed they are.
But there's a character in Chobits who sorta resembles Kurogane. xD

This site has a pretty good list and info of all the worlds and characters that appear in TRC.

Menelvir
Thanks for the link, Nekokitty! I'll take a look.

About Kurogane... *shrugs* I have the feeling I've seen him before somewhere. Just can't place my finger on it... Maybe you're right: Chobits.
Nekokitty
@Menelvir:No, Kurogane isn't from Chobits, there's just a character that sorta looks like him.
See the guy with the black hair?
He had a name but I forgot it. xD
SMtofu
I got bored with the anime pretty fast, but I also find the manga mildly boring as well. The only reason I keep reading is because I heard of a very interesting twist in the recent chapters released in Japan. ;D Plus Clamp's art is superb as always, but I still gotta say I prefer xxxHolic.
Nekokitty
@SMtofu:To tell the truth, I don't like the anime at all. :/
But do stick with the manga, I know volumes 10, 1& 12 were boring but around volume 13 the story picks up again. And it actually gets so bloody and angsty that it puts FMA to shame.
And at the end of vol.14
they get to the acid Tokyo Arc when characters from X/1999 appear. And it leads to finding some shocking things about Syaoran and something happens to Fai.
Triss Hawkeye
@Nekokitty: The resemblence between Kurogane and that guy is freaky...
paca
I didn't knoe this thread existed O.o
I don't like the anime in fact....but I go on reading the manga.....Anyone has read the last chapaters?
I think that Fai isn't the one who is called Fai in the flashback...I mean that Fai has this name one because he picked it up after his brother had died
Did I explain myself?

@Nekokitty: I didn't know that there was a character that looked like Kuro....interesting >____>
Menelvir
Nekokitty, thanks for the pic! I remember that guy. He does look like Kurogane, although if I remember correctly, he's more of a flirt. And no one will catch Kurogane smilling like that.

I want more Tsubasa! I think I'll just give up waiting for the local translations and go look for some online ones...
SMtofu
Wow the recent chapters really has an interesting plot turn.

I definitely gotta keep reading. I just got to wonder, what were CLAMP thinking making the first 13 volumes? If I hadn't read spoilers, I would've never gotten to the good part.

I really disliked Syaoran- he was just too perfect. But now, everything makes sense.
AnimeFantasy
I haven't read the latest chapters at all... actually I am still at volume 12... I'm only buying and reading the Del Rey translations and not even daring myself reading anywhere else... because I would find that useless buying it if I read on ahead (even people says to but them to support them...XD). I haven't gotten volume 13 yet though. =D However my twin has read up to the latest chapter and she says it is getting really really good! So I am really anxious.

Well SMtofu to answer your question, I think CLAMP made the first 13 volumes so that it would actually lead to the "good part" that you're talking about. Just like Bleach. =D They didn't get to the really good part and the main story until like the 21st volume. laugh.gif And the thing about Syaoran that you mentioned... you got me curious! laugh.gif I can't wait to find out. ^^
Bling_bling_Angel
The manga Tsubasa is very good indeed, I must say...happy.gif I've got up to volume 8 in Japanese...It was out like around late 2004 back in Japan; I'm not quite sure when it came out in the US.
LastExile
I was down in Hamilton Ontario this weekend, and happend to come across some Tsubasa while I was there. They wanted $16.99 for them! It was so crazy that I didn't bother....but yes the manga is very well done!

@Bling_bling_Angel: Can you read Japanese? I wish I could.....T_T
Innocent-malice
Clamp pretty much fired beetrain(the people who murdured..er made the anime) and now another company is making an OVA about the tokyo arc. I agree about the anime it was horrible but the manga is interesting.
Triss Hawkeye
*gasps* Could it be? Am I mistaken, or is it that....

FAI ISN'T EMO ANY MORE!!!!! ohmy.gif

In other words: YAAAAAAAY!
