Naruto started off as a pretty stupid kid, but he's grown up a lot. I used to not like Naruto either, but now, he's one of my favourite characters! As for Sakura...no comment... I can't say I hate her, but the obsessive crush on Sasuke gets really annoying.

I stopped watching the anime when I went to 56k but I was obsessed with Naruto for quite a time. Now I usually read the manga every few months (I usually wait till I'm behind a couple of chapters because it takes forever for anything to happen)

It's too slow. Waaaayyy to slow. Otherwise, funny, action packed, etc...

Maybe he just doesn't know how to end it? I get that sometimes too. With a story, I mean. Sometimes you're just filled to the brim with ideas and.. yeah well.

Haha, just saw one of the most hilarious Naruto music videos. (About Naruto and Sasuke contemplating what to do with their new ninja-skillz) And one of the uber-coolest as well. *___* It's made my view of Naruto much more interesting. Naruto and Sasuke being stupid together and Kakashi being THE man. Awesome~

actually, female voices are common for role as kids and adolescence... (and it's definitely not because females are paid less than males... tell that to the great Megumi Hayshibara...)

if you actually listen to real japanese kids speak, their voices are squeaky and too hi-pitched, it'll be a big drag to listen to them on anime, female voices tend to sound more rounded. male seiyuus can't do this. plus, a lot of schools ban kids from working, so being a child seiyuu would be difficult.

and finally... in case you haven't noticed, most characters portrayed by female seiyuus are considered "bishonens" meaning "beautiful male", so i guess having an effeminite voice adds to that effect.


.... back to current... maybe the author needed more idea on what "mangekyou sharringan" should be. after all, it is the ulitmate sharringan ability and it supposed to be something really powerful... well, supposedly...

Excluding all breath-taking bishonen done by Takehito Koyasu of course~ ^__~

The final conflict:
Naruto and Sasuke both fall indescribably in love with Sakura (obviously Naruto already was, but more so now). Kakashi decides not to interfere with childish love and allow them to fight it out.
The main climax:
Naruto and Sasuke fight it out with various hybrids and versians of Henge no Jutsu.
The result:
Both die as a result of severe blood loss from nose bleeds and Sakura falls in love with Rock Lee anyways.

yeah the story is progressing too slowly, but the author has to do a chapter every week and it's about 19 pages. Compared to FMA's 40-50 pages a month... the time is not important, the point is the Arakawa can finish a plot quicker in one chapter

i really liked it when i first saw the whole thing with zabuza when naruto'f fox chakra leaked out and he went all like wolfy. it was soooo cool. and anytime they have a good fight seen the music just helps so much, i think the coolest part i saw was when lee had to fight garaa and even though he got the crap beat out of him, it was soooooo coooool when he took off his leg weights...lol they were all like "that won't help him from garaa's sand" but that ZOOOM he was all like super fast, i was laughing and it was just really cool. and then when naruto mastered the rasengan that was suped up.

Nope, got bored with it, when it spent about 60 episodes getting to that test.


However the scene you mention was kewl, it had it's moments, but to far apart.

me too, i also got bored with naruto... though i was waiting for the "konoha five" saga to come in the anime but is instead replaced with stupid episode fillers... current manga chapter (naruto vs. sasuke) is already predictable...

welli really enjoyed naruto until the whole thing when tsunade became hokage..no its really boring, they stroy writers made it seem like the three of them (naruto sakura, sauske) like kind of reset and are all weak now. i still watch it cause since FMA is over like you said i need something so now im mostly waiting for some more action, every show has somewhat of a slump. man i miss FMA :'(

I've lost interest in the anime, though I still read the manga every week. The bad thing is, I'm losing interest in the manga as well. Things are just way too predictable...

Naruto is kind of like a Japanese anime version of the Harry Potter series.

My problem with the anime, is that its way too serialized like Dragon Ball Z. Fights last way too long and are too drawn out. All the characters are your stereotypical stock ones from anime, and while the show is funny and has some really cool moments, its not enough when it needs to count.

My question though, who are Naruto's parent and what happened to them? Is the idea supposed to be that Naruto is the Fourth Hokage's son? You think someone would tell him about that by now.

i thought the exact same thing about the whole dbz thing lol...but im still hoping its gets better...im one of those guys who once he sees like half the series and i don't see the rest i'll go insane

The best thing for Naruto right now is to do a complete 180 and stray to it's own story line. Cut out the filler episodes and take a page from FMA's book. As in make it's own individual storyline instead of having to wait for the manga to get ahead so that they can stop these filler episodes. Now that'd be interesting.


And I think that Yondaime is Naruto's dad too...o.o

C'mon, they are both orphans, and they both born with a strange scar/seal on their body. Naruto's seal is because he is the seal of the demon Nine Tails(Kyubi), Harry's scar is because of the demonic Voldemort.

There are a lot of other similarities too numerous to list. It could just be coincidental, but I think its kind of cool that you can find a Japanese anime equivalent to Harry Potter.

Hehe, than you can also compare FMA with Harry Potter. Ed = Harry, P. Stone = P. Stone, Alchemy = magic..... The Gate = Hogwarts?? O.o Well, most of it can be compared.

Potter doesn't resemble Alchemist at all other than the Philosopher's stone thing. And they are both two totally different things in Alchemist and Potter.
