Sorry to inturupt hte love fest here, but can someone tell me what's going on with this anime? It was so long ago I stopped watching, what's goin gon now? Have they stopped the fillers?

i really like naruto! (especially be cause sasuke is hot!!! ) i just started watching, and i saw parts of the marathon on saturday. did sasuke end up retreating from battles? if not, did he win or lose his battle?

by the way, who is the guy with th red hair, japanese character on his forehead, grey eyes w/o pupils? i have only seen him in one episode but i think he is mildly hot as well.

i've seen up untill Gaara saves Lee (when he was fighting Kimimaro) in the anime.
i'd have to say tsunade, Kabuto, kiba and shikamaru are my favorites.

I just recently started watching Naruto again( I dunno which episode though) but it's like episode 20- something and I know there's like 200 episodes. I'm trying to figure out how the storyline will stretch till then...

just don't watch from ~ episodes 130-200 ...it's all filler (aka nonsense where nothing happens)

but you know what? it dosent really matter, becasue downloading manga is much easyer then downloading anime.
only a few of the filler episodes were really good. like the one when teem 7 was trying to find out what kakashi really looked like *under his mask*

My favourite characters are definatly Naruto, Sasuke and Gaara. ^^
I've read I think 3 or 4 manga books, and I've only seen scattered episodes, but it's one of my favourite anime/mangas out there.

We are talking about the anime Naruto. Like the name of the thread implies.

A lot of the fillers are aweful. Sometimes they are entertaining enough to get you by, but come on!

Anyway, that's why I really like animes that end. It's better to end it than to just go on forever making fans wait until something interesting in the story line comes up.

When my daughter and I watch the show and there's a flashback, recap of another episode or long explanations, she always yells out "Lame!"

Well, if they stopped the fillers, it wouldn't even be like the same show anymore.

Yeah, (currently 195 epis) but about 75 of those 195 epis are nothing but fillers....as most everyone here has pointed out. However, the word on the street is that the fillers will be coming to an end very soon,....and then [spoiler]they shall pick up with KAKASHI GAIDEN[/spoiler] WOOHOO!!! can't wait

about the itachi thing, well, though yes, he's got the "bad boy" thing going and he may look cool, but he's a murderer, which sort of takes away from the whole thinking he's cool thing.

also, about kakashi, though he sort of got on my nerves in the very beginnning, he quickly earned my respect and now he is pretty awesome!

Well, mass murderer or whatever you want to call him...I still think that he is a great character. But even though he is a murderer...[spoiler]he still let his little brother live...so he isnt all that bad. Unless, he let him live because Itachi himself hates his life and wants sasuke to end it for him[/spoiler]. Can't wait to see more episodes with him in it though (that most likely wasnt a spoiler for you, but it might be for everyone who has only seen what CN shows)

And yeah...i used to HATE kakashi...but somehow it just clicked, and i think he's soo cool, and totally hillarious. Though, i do prefer the original japanese voice as opposed to the english dub. No offence to Dave Wittenberg, but he doesnt sound at all like the original character.

eh, true, but he's not horrible. though he isn't much like the origional, his voice amuses me!

kakashi's english dubb voice is OK...except for like...episode 7 or 8 (whichever epi it is when they are in the boat with the bridgebuilder going to his village)...then it sounds like he (dave wittenberg) is just reading off a script. It's sooooo horrible. granted its not as bad as the english dub of itachi's voice. *scratches head* Maybe i'm just being picky now

Oh...and off topic of characters....I really wish that CN would stop editing the episodes. I mean, they are turning screens blue when they should be red, erasing blood when sasuke (or whoever) is getting beaten up, AND....dude...they killed the crucifiction (sp) scene in one of the earlier epis. I mean, they literally erased the guy's arms and drew them in next to his side. I mean, give me a break.... [spoiler]I wonder what they are going to do to the later episodes...we are going to be missing whole scenes in a bit[/spoiler]. The editing must stop!!!

*scratches head* I would agree with you, but I dont watch One Piece... granted I've heard the flaming about what they did to it from various people. Still, the editing annoys the hell outta me...they should just leave it as it should be and give it a 14/MA rating...or whatever...instead of dumbing it down to make it for kids.

I hate to say this but I don't think the subbed ep's on Youtube are edited. I think they are exactly the same as they go out in Japan (minus the sub titles)

I'm pretty sure they're not either...and i'm quite content with them. I'm just not happy with what Cartoon Network, or whoever is incharge of the show on cable, is doing to it. Err...or was your statement a suggestion to check out youtube? I think i just confused myself...

I do think it's a shame that 4kids (I assume it's them) like to bend shows over a barrel and [censored] without lube. I mean if blood is an issue then put it on a little later or even a simple warning. "Viewer digression is advised" or some such.
Lord of the Rings was only a twelve and it had beheadings and arrows in eyes so I don't see why unrealistic cartoon violence is such a problem. Language may be tougher but the worst I ever heared on Naruto was one or two utterances of "shit" which is allowed in twelve rated stuff.

the subbed episodes on youtube are fansubbed...they don't really do any editing....i know the head of one of the groups ( kaizoku-fansubs )
