The Darkangel - Meredith Ann Pierce

I read it before but I don't quite remember what happens. Figured it's time to do another reading of it.
Dancing Alchemist
Right now i'm reading - A Series of Unfortunate Events.

It's my sisters book I just thought maybe I should read it cause she's always talking about it.
eerabbit

mei_tenshi
The Golden Compass, first book of His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman.

I'm revisiting my old favorites while I have the time. I think I'll do the Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander next, and eventually Lord of the Rings sometime in April, to get ready for the AP Lit test. I have a feeling it'll come in handy.

Hawksong
The Ark
Fantastic Four (comic)
X-Statix (comic)

I've been meaning to read The Lord of the Flies again. That's a good book.

Been scanty on my fiction reading recently. I'm currently partway through "Once upon a more enlightened time", which is a sequel to "Politically correct bedtime stories." They're cute and funny, but there's only so far you can go with such parodies.
sumflip
I'm currently reading Battle Royale , by Koushun Takami. I loved the movie so i decided to read what started it all ^^.

Be glad you're doing that one instead of some other one. Macbeth is the shortest Shakespeare play, and the one with the most variety, apparently. I enjoyed Macbeth.
Foolio
dont get me wrong, shakespeare is great. its just that he takes a minute to get to the point, plus when youre reading it and not seeing it its not as good...and my teacher is a bitch-ho ;p
Quistis88
If you ever decide to watch Macbeth instead, do not, and I repeat, DO NOT WATCH THE VERSION PRODUCED BY PLAYBOY.
Foolio
now you got me curious...but ill take your word for it

If you really wanna know why, then I'll tell you why:

- Macbeth is a play that involves witches.
- Playboy is notorious for you-know-what.
- The witches aren't young.
- At all.

Therefore:

Macbeth + Playboy = A trip to your local psychiatrist and optometrist.

GAH! bad images in my head
Quistis88
Exactly. Better to have them in your head than to actually see it in front of your very eyes. I guarantee it's MUCH worse to see it on a screen . . . if it's a rental, you might want to sterilize your TV afterwards.

Hee Hee, so why are we talking about porn?

Well it passed. Back to reading.

How do I delete a post, so as to avoid accidental double posts (which I was attempting to do now...)?

You can't delete a post, but if you accidently double post, just edit the post to ask Quistis to delete it and she will.
Guest_Halogen_*
@Duckie: The double post doesn't bother me. I love you already. biggrin.gif

Lol isn't that German? Or maybe Dutch is similar? or maybe you're being sarcastic -.-''

Right now I'm reading The Ultimate Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. It's actually a series of five books just put into one encylopedia length paperback book ph34r.gif it's pretty good. Very amusing satire, read it if you like books that poke fun at society and its...strangeness...?
Ryuji1314
I'm now reading a book called The Far Side of Evil, it's pretty good so far!

Ooooh...that's one of my all-time favorites.

@Foolio: Which sequel are you talking about? Speaker for the Dead or Ender's Shadow? huh.gif Speaker starts its own trilogy and Shadow's more a companion to Ender than a sequel, per se. blink.gif Meh. I like 'em both.

I just started Homeland, first book of the Dark Elf Trilogy by R.A. Salvatore. Seems like another "rampage through the woods" fantasy, but a friend recommended it so I guess I'll give it a try.

I'll take that as a compliment. biggrin.gif

Angels and Demons is sitting on my shelf; I'll get to that once I finish the Dark Elf Trilogy, then on to Da Vinci Code. My English teacher said she'll bring in Atonement for me to read, though she keeps forgetting, and my former art history teacher said The Rule of Four was pretty good... And I'll get to the Bible someday. Seems interesting.

Frankly, I wouldn't want to read everything all at once. I need something to do during retirement. tongue.gif
