@ Demon-Dog - Okay, since Hyo is not here, I shall be the sadistic feedbacker in her stead. I'm not usually like this, sorry! >.<;;

The image quality is pretty bad. Notice how it's pixely? And so is the text. What did you use, MSPaint? Your sig's width is over the limit. Sigs are 300x500. I see you are not a newbie, so why is your sig over the limit? Half of the sig is just plain red. The other side has a crappy image. Not a good combo.

I feel so sadistic! XD

Anyway! I think it's simple, but the colors are good and the lettering related to the "pimp" is good too, but I guess I like better if the manga is black and white or some sort of dark color, and not painted that way But that's just me, all in all, is quite nice

Aw, how long did this take? Maybe a little over an hour... I had nothing to do when the forums were down yesterday so I was goofing around with abstract grunge brushes and well... I came out with this.

=O I wish you had used another more matching render though...>< because the background is great, really eye catching and nice colors too, but maybe more blueish would make it more...match-able, plus your name is so darn hard to see!! But what bothers me is the bloody render it really doesn't looks well in such a good background!

The pic of Ed is too light, duplicate the original layer and set to multiply, then play around with the opacity. (If you're using Photoshop) Background is quite simple, just an alchemy symbol and a blue canvas. The border is pretty bad. On the left side, you can't even see it "ending". Use a better font, there's plenty at DaFont.com.

EDIT: One more thing, SAVE FILES AS PNG!

You and your avatars! Looks good, actually! thought it was female at first glance though...>_o though, I would've liked like something bright into it!

@alchemydude90: Dude, your work is progressing, but remember to use less brightness, brightness is quite a very good factor, but over-using it doesn't look good, but more like blinding! I know you're still learning lots and so am I, but try making your own backgrounds, like with brushes and playing with all the tools and effects around and you'll see something very original and cool will come out with time!

Also, I think your signature are too big, making them a little smaller, makes them have a better look too.

Try looking at other people's work so you can match better backgrounds and renders, but not using the same colors, try making things stand out, like in the Roy signature, it's waaay too dark, though it "matches" the render, it's not suppose to be the same color. And in the Edward and Alphone signature, it really doesn't match at all, and try using different fonts, as Blitzy commented before, dafont.com has lots of them!

Just keep working hard and keep practicing! ;P Good luck! And hope to see more of your signature here!

I like this one better than the last few, but why is the render so darn shiny? it's too bright for the background! Cause it looks weird when the render is so bright, cause tit just makes the background rather dull and boring! Also, you could put the layer of the render before the background one, so it doesn't look like the background is in the render. Keep it up, you're improving!

Like Vachi said, the image is way too bright. It's hurting my eyes. How are you gonna pay for my eye sight? Credit cards? Also, no border and the back ground is dull and the fonts are huge. Also, it seems that the sig is kinda pixely. But the blending of Ed and the background was nice. But a little too much to show up and disturb a bit of Ed's left side and making it way too dark on his right side.

However, I think you changed the layermode of Ed into lighten.. (just guessing) Don't. Now I can see the BG through his arms, which looks a bit weird. You'd have a nicer result with a gradient, or maybe just add a drop-shadow?

Never stupid! I love manga based avatars better than anime ones! I like the first one the best! It just looks so goooood!!

About the second one, I find it a little pixely...maybe something wrong with my eyes, or I don't know, but the idea is great! And perhaps a thin black border would reaaally make it look even better

About the last one, I guess I see pixely render again >_< And I think you should try putting the lettering better, since you can barely see the "p", I would say a little brightness on the Winry one would do great too, but that's just me! Great avatars really!

About the boxthingy's, I don't know if you use photoshop, but if you do, here's how I do boxes:
- Select a part of your graphic you want to be a boxy-thing.
- copy and paste it into a new document.
- Create a new layer.
- Select the new layer. (I always use the Ctrl+A)
- Go to Edit and select Stroke
- Choose a color and set width to 1 px, Location Center (leave the rest as it is) and confirm
- Now press Ctrl+E to merge the layers
- Copy and paste it back into your original graphic
Tadaa box thingy. now you can repeat the process untill you are satisfided. Then just delete the original layer and you're all set.

Sig: First, I would say it's not your best work.
It's really plain and overall, not very eye appealing and interesting. It gives off a dull feeling and and the fonts are not very fitting... I think you should make it lower case instead.

Banner: It's good but... the figure at the left is too... pixely? And kinda rough. The fonts are good but the all caps are kinda... making it look weird. Overall, it's really nice but not the best.
