So...I went off and tried recording some more karaoke~ I still need to find a recording program that lets me record for a decent length of time before I can start recording full songs, but until then I'll have a few random clips of things...

So, I'm attaching two mp3s. The first one is a Part II of 'Shoujo yo, Taishi wo Idake!' XD Hououji Fuu is considerably calmer than Umi, so hopefully this version won't damage as many sets of ears. || I personally think it turned out a lot nicer than the Umi one, although there are still a few little flaws I wish I could fix...

The second is a 30-second clip of the chorus of 'Melissa' with...with an attempted chibi voice...||| (I was inspired by the efforts of Paku-san and Kugimiya-san! ) It sounds very strange, but I figured that this was better than recording a clip of 'Melissa' in Soprano, so...;;;

Also, I'd like to dedicate my clip of 'Shoujo yo' to Prinz-san as a rather late birthday present, and the same for the clip of 'Melissa' to Ninja-san~ ;; *marks off two names on long birthday list*


Hm, the Karaoke thread seems to have picked up a little more energy recently...will we ever restore it back to it's former glory...?

Yay! ...Eheh, Fuu's part is considerably easier than Umi's (for starters, there's no hyper screeching~), so I'm glad that turned out fairly well. Also...it probably sounds a little bit more slurred in real life- you should know as a fellow karaoke recorder that the microphone picks up little mistakes/sounds, so...||

(Hee, it's nice to be singing high notes again, though~) I suppose this is Falling-san's very late birthday present...(I don't know any songs specializing in Ramen, so...;;)

...some parts of the chorus are a little screechy, so use caution if listening with earphones. ||

Yes, there's more duets where that came from, though not very many more. "Once Upon a Roy..." took up most of our singing time when we're not out and about and terrorizing exploring the city of Calgary.

Ah...yes...the 'Myself' Interrupted version...

Basically, what happened is, I discovered this really nice instrumental version of 'Myself' on the Full Moon OST, so I was trying to sing along with it (it's more upbeat and happy sounding than the vocal version), and it was actually turning out fairly well...when...my mom decides to knock on my door for a tea delivery (you probably can't really hear the knock unless you're wearing earphones, so...||). So, um...yes, that squelching noise at the end is me sulking and glaring at the door. (I went off and more or less verbally chewed out my mom for disturbing the recording afterwards~) Besides, it should be obvious that someone like me couldn't possibly have a pet duck.

Yes, I am aware that it is rather strange. I tend to switch between feminine speech and masculine speech, and sometimes I mix the two together...(both intentionally and unintentionally...||) I'm not offended by the fact that I'm bizzare, so no worries.

Also, today eh, yesterday was my friend's birthday! *pops confetti joyously*

So, I recorded another song...it's 'Be My Angel' (the opening from Angelic Layer)...*sigh* I remember this from 8th grade...it was the first entire anime I actually watched... *nostalgic-ishy* ...I think this is actually the first full-length song I've finished recording since I fixed up my microphone. It's a nice, upbeat and positive song, although I think my voice is a little bit too high for it...;;

Oh, by the way, if anyone's wondering, the whisperish voice during the instrumental part is not me, that's just some sort of background voice that's included with the karaoke track. ;;

E~to...the melody they choose to go along with the song makes it a little hard to pronounce the "Be my only angel" part at the end of the chorus properly, so...||| And, if I sound a little tired in the song, sorry about that, too...(I really have to stop recording these sorts of things at 11 PM...)

it's a song sung by Keno...it's the Opening of HunterXHunter and this piece is another typical example of what nice "anime-music" japanese can produce...

Well...since this thread seems to be on the verge of going dormant again, I thought I'd post something. I've been plagued by many "bad recording days" lately...

..but! My Japanese class filmed a "movie" this year...it's basically 'Alice in Wonderland' in Japanese... As one of the co-directors, I happen to have a copy of the video file~ ||(<--volunteered to translate for subtitles) So...I figured I would post the segment of the Mad Tea Party, where I participate in the (Un)Happy Birthday songs... It's quite insane...||

..However, I figured my classmates wouldn't want to have video clips of them posted in random locations on the net, so I used my sound recording program to pull out the audio track by itself. ...it's kind of like an extremely low-budget mini-drama, although it's intended as video, so some parts probably sound kind of confusing...I'm only leaving this uploaded for a week or so, until I can manage to get some decent full-length songs, so...||

..Oh, and I'm filling in for whoever was supposed to play the rat. So that "Za~nnen deshita!" line is me. |||

No...a number of the pronounciations are rather off...Our class is not exactly comprised of students who regularly watch oodles of subtitled/raw anime...and for that matter, most people aren't primarily concerned with sounding convincingly like native speakers...;; *sigh*
