I just want to post these before I forget, I'll finish reading and laughing my head off later...

- you can state all 396 differences between Manga and Anime, starting with chronology to the look of Ed's fringe (speaking of which -)

- ...and have stared at Ed's movie ponytail for so long you can bring half a dozen arguments why it is cosmetically and physically impossible for it to be so damn thin (it is true)

- you're active on 13 FMA forums and have written about the equivalent of a doctorate thesis in forum posts

I know everyone on this forum is probably obsessed beyond all reason with everyone's favorite alchemist but what are the signs of said obsession? Here are a few of mine.

-You name your pets after the seven homunculi
-Your ringtone on your cellphone is music from the show
-You try to actually attempt a "transmutation" complete with circle
-You snap your fingers in the hopes that flames will appear
-You want to name your twin sons Edward and Alphonse
-You have a horse and you name it Mustang
-You give yourself a State Alchemist code name (like Fulllmetal for instance)
-You have a pet snake and you name it Envy and hope it turns into a giant draconic snake just like him
-You style your hair in the manner of one of the characters

- You can't resist the urge to go up and speak to some scary looking stranger in a grocery store just because you noticed he has the familiar looking Oroborus tattoo on his arm.

You know you are a FMA fanatic, when...
-you are drawing transmutation circles on everything you see (schoolbooks, walls, doors...)
-when you snap with your fingers when you are in rage
-when you won't feed your dog till it makes "speak, sit down, give paw" and so on
-when you're showing photos of your little sister/brother or daughter/son to everyone. "See? That's my cute sister! So cute, isn't she, right, right???"
-when you call persons with ponytails "Edo" or "Van Hohenheim"
-when you buy a pocket watch and write dates in it

You know when you are a FMA fanatic when...

- You find yourself posting more on a FMA message board than doing the paperwork that's currently on your desk - only to start complaining that you would've been finished sooner had you had the time (I'm currently doing this right at this moment at work - the avoidance/procrastination thing)

You know you are a FMA fanatic when:
-You know EVERYTHING about all the characters.
-Instead of having hearts in the last page of your notebook you have alchemy arrays (you even know them all by heart!)
-You insist Ed is your TRUE boyfriend but he had to go away to look for his lost brother.
-You know all the openings and endings songs (even the spoken parts at the beggining)
-You have named several people (that you dont like!) after the 7 homunculous. (My chemistry teacher is Gluttony!! XDXD)
-When your friends are talking about Harry Potter you oblige them to listen the whole story of the philosopher stone and all the reasons of why it can't appear in someone's pocket just like that and you dont stop till they are fully convinced of it (or till they beat the crap out of you XDXD)
-You have read and researched about everything you could find about alchemy.
-You can discuss for hours why FMA is and will always be the best anime ever made.
-Although you are failing biology and chemistry you know ALL laws of alchemy.
-Though your friends hate it, they know the entire plot (even thought they just understand the 5% of it XD)
-Since you watched FMA all St. Valentine, Christmas etc MUST have all the FMA cast in it.
-You learned japanese so you could understand some phrases that appeard at the bottom on the screen in the first chapters.
-Your detention slips always have the reason "Beat student profoundly, while claiming they had mocked their love for FMA"
-You claim you are a true alchemist.
-When someone close to you gets sick, you beging gathering all the ingredients for a human transmutation....just in case.

3. You steal the character's persona for a day. So you begin to walk and talk like them.
4. If someone says 'Metal', 'Full', 'Full Metal', 'FMA', 'Alchemist' or anything along these lines, you go completely crazy and ask to join in the conversation.
5. You constantly quote Full Metal Alchemist!
6. Edward Elric is you're desktop wallpaper, your screen saver and your ipod wallpaper.

I got the state alchemist pocket watch for Christmas last year, and I went around telling my friends, "I got my state certification! I'm a State Alchemist!" Hahaha. (But they're FMA fans too, so they were like, "Ehh?! Unfaaaaaiiir." HAHA)

- You have a small journal you carry around with you in your pocket, so you can take notes of all your alchemic discoveries random day-to-day happenings. (Like.. new recipes, or an account of your dates, or a travel-log, or maybe a set of sketches you made using the skills passed down through your family for generations! *sparkle*)
- You constantly deny that you like your friend, saying that she (or in my case, "he") is just a friend. and then you proceed to recite the periodic table of elements

...okay, that's all I've got. XDDD All applicable to me. HAHA.

1.) Do you attempt alchemy by clapping, snapping, or drawing transmutation circles?
2.) Did you see "alchemy" in a science text book and practically have a heart attack and/or do you look up and study alchemy and compare it to alchemy in FMA
3.) Do you make amvs, parodies, draw pictures, and/or write fanfics of FMA?
4.) Do you have Edward on your wall paper of your computer, hanging on your wall in a picture, in your locker, or on your ipod and phone?
5.) Do you freak out if you hear anything along the lines of "metal" "alchemy" "full" or "armor"
6.) When you first meet someone, are one of the first questions you ask, "do you watch FMA?"
7.) Do you then jabber on about FMA if they say yes? And if they say no do you try to convince them to watch it?
8.) Do you relate FMA a to every day life as much as possible?
9.) Do you re watch FMA a million times and laugh and cry to the same parts over and over again?
10.) Do you add on stuff to the characters, like things that you think they would do and like?
11.) Do you RP as Ed or other characters so much that you begin to talk and walk like them without trying,as a reflex?
12.) lol but my whole life isn't FMA i am a multi tasker so I have a life outside of all this.
I have friends and they dont watch anime and we talk about stuff other than FMA and other animes.
I also read non-manga novels and watch non-anime shows like percy jackson and CSI

^I need serious help then. I answered all of them yess except for number 11. I do not rp as any cannon characters, I usually do my own OC and then try to have a romance between the OC and another character. lol That way I don't have to dream. x3
