*Fm is flying around in th clouds, hoping to avoid detection*

(According to my calculations, I should place myself around here...) *he stops moving and holds the half-edge in front of him. he begins to charge energy the tip, at a much faster rate than before*

*several miles in front of FM, the other three demon ships wait. the one lowest down opens it's cargo bay doors. one drop-ship is released. before the next one can deploy, a giant blue beam engulfs the entire ship. the ship sustains for awhile, then it begins to disintigrate. after a couple of minutes, the ship explodes, killing all the demons within. the other two ships begin to descend quickly. a large blade comes down on the hull of the second highest ship, causing the front end to explode and the ship to sink. Fm appears from the clouds and begins to hack away at the already doomed ship. the crew and soldiers retaliate, firing shots of demonic energy. as he hacks away with the katana, he sees a familiar symbol*

(No way... It can't be them... They're from my world...) *the wall breaks and a demon soldier attacks. they lock blades. Fm knocks him away, falling to his death*

(It's them alright...) *he remembers some minor details about the armor. made of a semi-organic demonic substance, it is said to withstand the strongest of steels. even mighty swords of legend, such as the Excalibur, couldn't fully pierce through it* (They are gonna have one hell of a party down there)

*awhile later, as FM nears destroying the second ship, the third one deploys several high-level demons. the first one throws explosive needles at FM. he is caught off-guard and the needles explode on contact. he loses grip of the half-edge, causing him to fall. they seem to almost part ways, the blade sent flying toward the castle, and FM some ways in the other direction*

*he sighs, then pulls out his laptop to relay his intel to the royal couples*

Some interesting things. These space demons are from my world, er, my universe. They have super thick armor, normal guns and melee weaponry won't even scratch it, so have the soldiers ready. I've taken out two back-up ships, but they carried only demons. the third one, en route to the the castle, carries some devils. these are true fallen angels. a handful, possibly eight or nine, could be considered demi-gods. Careful, and happy hunting.

*he tucks away his laptop and pulls out his kodachi to be used in juction with the katana. he dissapears into the cloud bank, the four devils following him*

*Without warning a large devilish gateway appears above one of the towers. A small red glowing star emerges and begins to pulsate and take the form of a large man. The red glow fades and a man with armor and wings , similar to Xith’s, is left hovering.*

*Looks up at the stranger and nearly chokes on his own words.*

*The strange man soars down to Xith and begins to chuckle*

*Still in a state of shock he manages to slip out a few words while easing himself backwards*

*The man slowls his laugh to a halt and begins to speak; “How are you doing friend? Or should I say Foe!?” His eyes blaze red. *

*Stops moving and closes his eyes*

*Closes his eyes also and then speaks; “So that’s it? I guess we’re not exactly the same…Even though you’re a---”*

*Both open their eyes and stare lifelessly at each other for what seems like an eternity. Then, the man begins to change. Eye’s turning white, skin darkening, wings turning from black to blood red, and his size drastically changes nearly doubling in size*

*Looks at Shardy in question….and thinks “What will she think....if I change? I can’t! I wont!!”*

*The man looks at Xith in a confused manner. “Change!……I said change!!” The man shoots a strange energy flare at Xith that sends him blasting into the castle wall* Xith bounces off the wall, hit’s the ground, and lays there for several seconds before getting up.*

*With heavy breath, mei pauses to realize that all demons within sight have fallen to gray ash strewn all over the floor. She looks to Kyor, curled up and licking minor wounds that have already begun to heal. The sounds of battle have dulled, but mei senses eerie apprehension in the air. Explosions in the distance. mei runs to the nearest window and looks out over the battlefield, but it is the sky that draws her attention, the sky filled with angry storm clouds and demonic battleships.*

*Decarabia quickly flies up to meat him and points at Xith’s wing. “What’s that? You seem to be discolored…*

*Looks down at his wing. The wound that Mei had healed now has a patch of white feathers.* Grrr…*Thinks to himself “now I have to dye it. Thanks, a lot Mei!”* You never mind that!

*spots Xith battling with another demon, notes the white feathers*

Hmm. Interesting. I wonder what other side-effects mixing white magic with demonic blood would have?

*as the king approaches Armstrong and his men, he can see that they have sustained heavy losses. suddenly the wall behind them bursts apart and dozens of small demons come through, surprising the already battle worn troops. the king rushes over to help, but the demons soon surround the men and they are sustaining even more losses.*

*runs away with demon in tow, but is ambushed by another squad of demons who sense the stone. soon he is covered by thousands of small demons. dropping to his knees, from the weight of creatures alone, he grasps the stone and concentrates. suddenly an array explodes out from the ground beneath his feet; a blinding column of light shoots forth from the array, destroying all the demons to reveal a rather scratched up king. as the light flows over him, the hundreds of tiny cuts over his body heal*

*turns around to see a 30 foot tall demon rip out one of his persimmon trees to use as a club, before begining to advance on the king*

Aim for the demon's face with the main cannons. If we blind/distract it, the King can probably handle the rest.

*messages pop up near queendom members. what's strange is that the window seems to have blood on it, both red and blue*

It's suggested that the demon airships be taken out first. They're dropping down the reinforcements, not to mention the heavy artiliary shots. It's possible they have interdementional gates, or they maybe even hatching new demons as we speak. And be careful of that last airship I missed. Like I said before, they have devils. They's bound to be a few dozen high-level demons there as well. Of course, if all hell breaks loose, (it probably has) just kill every piece of moving demon shit that tries to kill you. But you already knew that.

{I could mysteriously re-appear with a few "minor" injuries... }

*Chiarys runs through the castle hallways, trying to find the other queendom members so that she can assist them. as she runs along, she stomps, kicks, punches and slices through the crowds with a somewhat unintentional stylish ease. suddenly, the half-edge drops in through the window, impaling some demon on the head*

*she picks it up* (Isn't this the boss's sword?) *her mind wanders for a moment, letting her come up with conclusions* (Has something happened...? wait. Why am I so concerned...?)

*as her mind wandered, both ends of the hallways became flooded with demons. finally noticing, she takes a moment to play with her brother's sword. she points it one way, spraying the entire group with beam fire akin to machine gun fire. the beams gradually grow larger, cleaning the hallway and some of it's walls. the other directions, she sends energy bombs, obliterating the demons and the existing hallway*

That takes care of that... *she continues in search of the court members*

The biggest threat seems to have disappeared for now, and besides, Angel and I can handle most of the dangerous creatures springing up and about (though with the exception of that shadow thing back in that place underneath the castle).

What is our next plan of attack? What else needs to be done?

i appreciate the thought, however we need an aerial command center to coordinate the troops. most of the squad leaders on the ground have been taken out, for demons they are surprisingly cunnning. also we need to take out their air support; or maybe, if it were possible, we could hijack them and use them against the demons... i have a feeling that this is only the advance party... it just doesn't make sense... demons come in much larger numbers for war...

*there is an explosion nearby, followed by a small squad of demons coming from behind a corner.*

Ah, earlier I mentioned that these space demons were from my world. Well, to sum up the entire story, the Earth government hired me and my buddies to go to this "demon planet" and exterminate it. We did just that and now it's just a rocky shell floating around in space. Most of the resident demons either moved on or died there. I'm guessing this is a group of surviviors who are trying to colonize the place. I saw several factors causing me while to make this guess. My only question is, how did they come to this side of the Gate... Sorry, just wanted to clear up a few things. In the meantime, have a ball fighting 'em.

*cuts off all the limbs of the last demon. he quickly transmutes a red hot, glowing slab of metal and cauterizes the demons wounds. the metal is then molded into two large hooks joined by a sturdy handle. the king drives the hooks through the shoulders of the demon and drags him along like a piece of luggage*

*drags the demon to the throne room, where armstrong and his squad are already waiting. tosses the demon on to a table and transmutes the hooks into a cage bolted down to the table.*

*is still riding the stallion, heading for the castle gates, when suddenly, a small bat-like creature swoops by, cackling in a high-pitched voice*

*taking aim, she stabs the tiny demon, who proceeds to convulse and stops moving altogether within a few second's time, still with the blade stuck in its body; the queen holds the sword back to gain momentum then flings the demon off the sword and over the horizon; after a bright light, the sword becomes a dagger again*

No more time to waste. Full speed ahead to the castle. We're nearly there.

*reaches the castle gates after minutes and jumps off the stallion; turns to the animal*

remember when i went inside the gate for the second time? i told you about how your ancestors created this castle to guard a point in the multiverse that can open the Gate permamently... well i think we have some jehovah's witnesses knocking at our Gate...

after i came back from the gate, i did some research and i learned of a place called the nexus chamber hidden in the castle. i haven't been able to pin point it down but i think that would be the key to it all...

now think carefully... when you were a child did your mother ever forbid you from a certain place in the castle or only went somewhere by herself?

Now that you mention it, I do remember being told that, by both parental units. My curiosity got the better of me and I silently followed them down this hallway once, but I made the mistake of blinking and they had disappeared. Assuming I had lost them, I turned back.

I do believe it was that same corridor where I fell through the wall and ended up in that odd place where the river was.

well... it seems we have our starting point... but i didn't see any evidence of any man made structures in the meadow. hmmm... if i were creating the most important place on this planet, i'd have a failsafe. it can't be a word, that would be too easy crack... is there any piece of jewelery or something that your folks passed on to you? it would probably look like something rather innocent.. like a plain old broach or something.

There also seems to be some sort of ancient writing written on the borders. Perhaps you can decipher it, my King.

*Suddenly another wormhole rips open nearby Bling and Blue. DM comes flying out of it and lands upon his back on the rainsoaked ground nearby. A demon leaps out after DM, but with a simple flick of his wrist, DM has rbought up an energy barrier. The demon sees the barrier too late and vaporizes as it hits the energy. A small smirk comes across DM's blooodied face*

*takes quis's hand. closes his eyes and the royal couple fade out and reappear at the hallway. they walk down the corridor for a while, past where they should have fallen through to the meadow.*

good... my theory is panning out...

*after what feels like hours, they reach a towering set of doors. the pure platinum of the doors is etched with the most ornate runes that either of them have ever seen. as soon as the couple step on the tile right in front of the doors, they open by themselves; revealing a magnificent chamber that seems to be carved out of a single piece of glowing crystal. there is what appears to either be an altar or large pedestal in the center of the chamber.*

i think we found it....

*as those words finish, a force gently pushes the couple into the chamber and the doors slam shut. the altar/pedestal begins to glow with a strange light; then shoots out two rays which turn into the images of the previous queen and her vizier, hito's grandfather.*
