*He sees the princess start to make a return swing out of the corner of his eyes. Realizing how open he had just made himself, he tucks his weapon close and somersaults forward to avoid the swing. He leaps forward at the end of his roll.*

Aha! *Escapes him as he springs towards the front of the ship. But what he didn't realize was just how close the bow was to him. Instinctivley he jabs the staff into the hard wooden panels, hoping to stop himself before it woudl be truly too late...*

*stops the Prince's staff from colliding into hers, and leads him back into the center of the court*

*pants a bit from exertion...*

*raises the staff upward and brings it down...*

*With a small smirk on his face he rolls to the right, Bling's staff nearly hitting him. He then brings his own staff around from the right. His target, the back of the princess' legs.*

*bends over backwards to intercept the Prince's staff with her own, then slides to the left...*

*grins, inspite of her getting all sweaty from all the effort*

mei: Hello...are you new to the Queendom? You don't look familiar.
girl: Well, actually, I was supposed to work here, but Falling Man left in a hurry, so...*shrugs helplessly*
mei: Huh! *shakes her head at men's thoughtlessness* So are you a waitress, or what?
girl: I'm the chef, I think...

*mei's stomach growls*

mei: Oh really...? The kitchen's right this way...*ushers girl to the kitchen* By the way, mei is the Royal Healer of the Queendom. What's your name?
girl: To tell truth...I really don't know. I was in an accident recently and when I awoke, I couldn't remember my past--who I am, where my home is, who my friends are--none of it! The people who took care of me named me after the town, Chiarys.
mei: So how did you come by Falling Man?
Chiarys: It was rather a surprise, actually. When I got better, I wanted to find work and do something with myself. I didn't want to be dependent upon others. Even if I can't remember my past, I can still do something with my present and my future, right? So I went around looking for work. There was a small ramen shop in the next town, and I started working there for a bit. I seemed to have a natural talent for making ramen, and I really enjoyed doing it, but the owner was a complete pervert! One day, the owner was being his usual boarish self, but even more so this time. Falling Man was one of the customers and he took pity on me, and saved me from the owner's groping hands. Then and there, he offered me a position in his shop--but I thought it would be just another shop, not a place in the Queendom castle!
mei: Well, you're in good hands--er, good company now. Now, about that ramen...

(How's that, Falling Man? Note: "Chiarys" sounds like kee-AR-is, with a slight roll in the R, so it's almost kee-Ar-dis. If you don't like that name, feel free to change it to her "real" name. She's your *coughsistercough* after all. )
