I was a little surprised though, in the scene where Gluttony was right behind "Breda" at Marco's door. I knew it was Envy right away, but I have no idea how he had gotten wind of the real Breda's plans to visit Marco. Maybe it was a coincidence? Either way, it seems that the homunculi are ahead by a little now.

Am I the only one who's worried about what Envy said to Havoc? Because if it was really Envy, and not the real Breda, he knows that Ross is alive, and maybe that could cause her trouble. Or maybe not, butshe's in danger anyway, because of the wars in Xing... And he said that Havoc wasn't fitted for retired life. It didn't seem like a innocent comment to me...

But maybe it was Breda and not Envy, and I'm just paranoid >.<

Well, like I have mentioned before, I have no idea how Envy would've known about Breda's plan to visit Marco in the first place, so I don't think it was actually Envy that was in the hospital, because the REAL Breda shows up at Marco's place, too.

Well, Roy said something about them being "war buddies", and Knox seemed to be... like he didn't want to remember the war. I know it was horrible for everyone who was there, but he seemed guilty of something... He said Ishval was "One humongous testing ground for human bodies", and he seemed angry at Roy for mentionning it.

Well...shouldn't the thing in the middle that Al and Ed made be partically Al? And Ed's left arm? That's what they sacrifcaed..I'm not really sure.


I have a feeling he's going to revive Trisha somehow...not sure.


But he said "We're missing a few pieces" what do they need all the sins for exactly do you know? I have a feeling that they are trying to do this BIG transmutation that involves the sins...sort of what the symbol that Ed and Al don't know that was on the wall.

Wouldn't it be cool if they used Hughes body to make Greed and Trisha to make the new Lust? Seems possible....

I hope not! It would cheapen their death... And in the manga, they don't use dead people, I think.

But can you imagine Hughes as an homonculus? Dark and evil and seeking to kill Ed, Al and Roy? Or coming back to his family like this? It would destroy our picture of him forever. But it's good in fanfic, when well done...

I guess Hohenheim's warning to Pinako helps my theory that he is Pride.

Speaking of Hohenheim's warning... I think they might want to use Amestris to make the Philosopher's Stone... But it would look to much like the anime...

Hohenheim doesn't need to make the Phil.St. If he's the Father, he have plenty of Phil.St. in the Homunculii bodies.

New Greed. new Lust???? Why? I liked them and don't want them to be replaced, but then again... new characters would be kind of cool

like the bit about hehenheim... although i'm still wondering. And with Ling being a prince! yeah.. that's kind of funny! Poor Havoc. I hope the issue with his legs works out okay...

I think it'd be interesting if Havoc got automail. I don't paticularly like the idea, but I find it interesting. There's a whole thread on the Pride-obviously-being-Hohenhiem/Father theory-soon-to-be-fact.

Hughes as Greed would make me cry.;_; Would make for good plot though...and be really interesting to see what he was dressed in. Trisha as the new Lust...maybe. But remember, Lust was still alive when she was recovering. We know she'll be used for something though, since she IS a failed human transmutation. As to Hohenhiem asking if the transmutation was really Trisha. Easy. Human transmutation will always fail. It's impossible to bring someone back to life with alchemy. Why? You would need the mind, the body and the soul. In FMA when someone dies, the body decays and the soul and mind leave the body. The go to the place with the gate...for a time, and then...something happens, maybe they enter the gate. Or something. After whatever that event is happens, it's impossible to call the soul and mind back through alchemy. That's why.

Hughes as Greed would totally kill me. I think I'd totally hate the manga or Hughes if this happen... It would destroy his character, everything we remember about him. And while it would be a great source of angst... No. I can see it in fanfic, but not in canon. Never in canon.

I just realized that not all the homunculi were introduced. Envy said that they "lost some game peaces." They got rid of Greed, and Lust was killed by Roy. Wrath is Bradley, and we all know Gluttony and Envy. We haven't seen Pride, although we've heard him talk to Envy, so...

Also, the dead-people-becoming-homunculi theory doesn't have much to support it. It's possible, but I doubt that we'd see Hughes in Greed's role.

Not sure if I already mentioned this, but Hohenheim thought Ed reminded him of himself when he was younger. I think this squashes the anime's body-shuffling thing. I also think this suggests that Hohenheim isn't a homunculus, and therfore not Pride, unless he someone became a homunculus as retained his memory. (Also, the homunculi called him "father" and Envy called Pride by name, which suggests that they're different people altogether.)

FMA has such a weird plot structure when you think about it. It's mostly composed of mini-plots and flashbacks through which we learn more and more about the situation. It's already been 9 volumes, and yet I still haven't figured out what the main antgonists are even after. O.o

Here's my nutty theory as to how Envy knew beforehand that Breda was planning to pay a visit to Dr. Marcoh:

On the 10th(?) page of chapter 8 (5 pages after the title page), you see this one White-Suited Mysterious Guy (WSMG) on the train platform next to Ed and Al's train bound for Resembool...that passes by the stop where Armstrong sights Marcoh. The WSMG also shows up tailing the brothers in chapter 14 and 16 as well, and may have one more popping in that I don't remember right off hand.

In chapter 42, the WSMG shows up again, top of page 25...next to Dr. Knox and Mustang. If he was on the same train as Ed and Al that one time, he would know precisely where Marcoh is. At the very least, this guy smells like an informant for the Homunculi, and he would be easily able to find out about Breda's upcoming trip to the countryside.

Could it be possible that this is also the true face of Pride? He looks a little too urbane to be a Homunculus, though...but it seems far more likely than Father/Hohenheim being Pride.
