Don't know when or where I'll teach, but I know someday I'll do it.
I already have most of my certification classes finished. I just need one or two more semesters at college and half a year of student teaching. Before that, I'm hoping to get my life in order, maybe mature a bit more (but not too much).
As it is right now, I'm making money at a decent job that requires me to use my language skills. I'm getting used to adulthood: bills, work, social life...

It'll be very cool to be on the other side of the classroom. But, I have a little secret for you all: teachers have to do more learning than their students do. You have to master your subject to teach it well, which means learning all you can about it. Considering that the world is constantly changing, teachers have to be constantly learning to keep up with it. What's more, every semester they have to get to know a hundred more students. That's a hundred more names, a hundred more individual personalities, a hundred more new "authors" to read.
You just show up to class and get ready for homework. Teachers have to come up with homework assignments. They have to plan out every minute of their lessons. They have to grade all those tests and papers you hand into them. Then, there are the extra duties they have to attend to, like coaching sports or monitoring dances. They have to do these things, even if they'd rather not. If they don't do them, they don't get evaluated well, and they don't get paid as well.
Some teachers are jerks, and some are incompetent. Most of them really do care about what they do, otherwise they'd have jobs that actually paid them a fair wage for all the work that they do.
I guess my point is treat your teachers well. For the most part, they're trying to help you.

Wow, I got off on a rant there. I'll try to keep off the soapbox from now on.
Oh, and about the avatar and the signature... I just used one of the prefab avatars from the site. I thought it looked better than a blank space. And, I sign "Peace," to all my nonprofessional letters for spiritual reasons. Think of it like spinning a
prayer wheel. Not that I'm a practicing Buddhist. I just like the idea of making a spritual contribution to the world through a repeated action. In my case, I type "peace."
So...
Peace,
Joe J.
