Where did you read that at? I just checked, it says he's still alive.

Of course he's still alive. The whole thing is an elaborate April Fool's joke.

Contrary to what we've been led to believe, this Pope was not from Poland, but rather made in Japan. And like all Japanese people, he can only be killed via sword stab to the abdomen.

HE IS UNBREAKAPOPE!

He has been 'dead' so many times now.

The pope is not dead. Go check CNN Vatican denies it.

No, it really isn't.

The dude's 84 years old. His time has come.

Actually, it came quite a while ago. It just got sick of waiting.

Let it go.
Fresh_Coffee
Even if the Pope dies don't they replace him with someone else? Even if he dies according to your reglion he will go to a better place.
hitokiri
then maybe they should change the name from the last rites to the "OMG he coughed" rites....

come on, he's on borrowed time. he's what? 84? been shot when he was no younger than 55? being in the hosipital more times than michael jackson's face? its only a matter of time... and while i personally like karol over some of the other nutbags that have been pope before, he's about to kick it. i'm more concerned as to who's gonna replace him...

Carnal Malefactor
Cool! A black pope! Would he install hydraulics and a ridiculous sound system on the Popemobile?
Dragons04
*glaring at Bacon again* No, it does not, the Pope send a message around the world to provide peace, not adding some junk to the mobile, for God's sake!

@bacon: you know you do have to admit that karol did a way better job than many of his previous nutbag counterparts... though i'm still fundamentally opposed to any religious organization that failed to take over the world and is still allowed to exist.

Yes, seriously . . . everybody has to die. The Pope can't live forever. It's going to happen sooner or later. If he doesn't die soon, then it could very well be 3 months from now or something, and the arguments and feelings of each and every individual who have views on this will probably still have those same views. Not much need for arguing, is there?

Vick's Graphic Sex Disease Lawsuit
April 6, 2005 Mighty Michael Vick enticed your taste buds in a Coke ad, but in recently filed legal papers in Georgia, Sonya Elliott is hardly endorsing her old Falcon flame -- she's suing him.

Elliott, who is a therapist in the field of geriatrics, says Vick gave her genital herpes. She claims in the papers that the two had a romantic, but celibate, relationship for more than a year. The documents state that once the couple began having sex, Vick always wore a condom, except says Elliott, on one occasion when despite her objection, Vick placed his private parts against her.

Now, she wants Vick to pay. But the question remains: will a lawsuit like this one force Vick to pay in more than one way?

Los Angeles marketing expert Wayne Friedman talked to "CJ" about the impact the suit could have on Vick's lucrative position in the ad world. "If it hurts him at all, it will be in the short term," Friedman predicted. "He won't be marketing condoms."

With ads like the PowerAde energy drink, Vick is a hot commodity. But when do legal woes cross the line of consumer acceptability?

"Unfortunately, it seems like people are immune to athletes' bad behavior," Friedman said. "They almost expect them to do drugs or fool around with women."

NBA star Kobe Bryant raked in tons of dough with endorsements like Taco Bell, but rape allegations bruised the superstar's marketability.

But then there's Paris. The mega-sale of her infamous sex tape, which featured the heiress in compromising positions, hasn't hurt her a bit, at least not as far as T-Mobile communications is concerned.

So it seems that most likely, the ad biz will give Vick a pass as long as the quarterback can still pass.

Oh man.   And this :

Elliot's lawsuit alleges that Vick has used the name "Ron Mexico" and, in a related court filing, her lawyers are seeking Vick's admission that he used the "Mexico" alias--and perhaps other fake names--"for the purpose of herpes testing and/or treatment."
