I am the Only sister Elric
There is one pat in The Sixth Semse that made me jump. but other then that I havnt seen anything scary. (Haily Jol Osment is cute!)
ScarMySoul
Well this movie didn't scare me but it was sickeningly gross.

Hostel.

I rented that and didn't realize until the end that I got the unrated version.

When it was over I looked like this ------> wacko.gif

My sister watched The Grudge, when she was 3 and now she's afraid to go anywhere by herself. Now if she wants to go somewhere like the park, she's afraid to go by herself, me or my sister have to go with her, cause we're the ones who let her watch it.
ScarMySoul
My sister watched the Grudge, she's 28 now mind you, and that night after watching it, she said she had to go pee really bad, but wouldn't get up to go because she was afraid that chick was on the floor waiting for her.

I laugh at that.

I've only read a Sinopsis of hostel and I never want to see it. I'm a coward when it comes to torture.

The Grudge however was not scary, neither was the Ring (or Ringu for you purists).
It was a bit jumpy at best.

Well like the torture scenes were just graphicly disgusting... lol.... Quentin Terrintino did a wonderful job on that aspect. It made me kinda want to read the book, although i haven't gotten it yet.

The only thing I didn't like was the fact that there were so many titties in the movie lol. And its not like you can by pass them either, if you do you don't get the movie.

But other than that, I'm glad I wasn't eating when I watched it lol.
~FMAgurl~
Scariest movie I've seen would have to be Ju-On. The Grudge wasn't scary at all though dry.gif

The Ring was pretty creepy the first time. After that though, it's not bad at all. I laughed during the Ring 2. The entire movie was predictable.

I started watching Hostel, and after the first 45 minutes, I shut it off. I think the vomit got to me mroe than the blood blink.gif
Silver Wolf
The only thing that scare me is Freddy. He can kill people in there dreams. When I saw Nightmare on Elm Street with my friends I got so scared that I couldn't sleep that night.

Ju-On also got me freaked out. The ring too.
Packy
Not too many movies scare me now u.u Sometimes I wish they did... Though thats what happens when your parents are out, your 4-years old, and theres a Nightmare on Elm Street movie nearby... Though theres the classic zombie movies that still scare me when I watch them at night. I only recently got over my spooks of watching Land of the Dead. I have a weird theory that someday zombies'll start roaming over the world ohmy.gif
~RoyxRiza~
I can watch any horror movie during the day and not be scared, but when night comes I can't sleep at all. So, I guess you could say I'm afraid of every horror movie. blink.gif wacko.gif
Vampire Alchemist
The Texas Chainsaw Massacure scared the crap out of me but now I love it, weird.
Vash_the_Gunslinger
When I was a 4, I watched A Nightmare on Elm Street and was afraid to go to sleep for days.
ScarMySoul
That new movie Pulse looks creepy. Especially that laundry scene. ph34r.gif
Roy Mustard
The Grudge
Hide and Seek
That Chucky doll
And thi smovie about this child who murder's his parents and stuff...so creepy

I want to see that movie. It does look creepy, and kewl.

When I was 10 I watched It(ya know with the clown), and I was scared. But now that I'm older, I find the movie funny. The talking head in the fridge was awesome.
Packy
I havent seen that movie in quite awhile damn sci-fi for not showing it lately! Theres also one I forgot to mention; Cujo. That movie had me afraid of St. Bernards for awhile that I was even afraid to look at my uncle's dog...
ed_drink_your_milk
I don't really watch many scary movies, I like to laugh too much, but one of the first one's I saw was Invasion of The Body Snatchers. It's an old movie, but it's good. I saw it when I was only about 8, and it really freaked me out. I thought my dad was an alien! tongue.gif I have a feeling though that if I watched it now I would be cracking up!
cksdayoff
The Descent was pretty good. It's been a while since I've seen a good horror flick.

The UK ending is better than the one shown in the U.S

That movie scared me because I live in Texas and I'm not that far away from the place where everybody die at. It hard for me to sleep at night now.
phoenix dying
The beginning of Hostel, was a soft-core porno. Nothing special, it wasn't really scary; just creepy.

I said this before, i think.

The Hills Have Eyes, was the only 'scary' movie that actually made me jump a few times...
nataliel
When i was very little, i saw "Total Recall"(1990) with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Since then i feel seek, seeing people/characters with the eyes coming out from their orbits...
DantElric
The 6th Sense. Classic. ph34r.gif

Also, it wasn't that scary, but The Brothers Grimm freaked me out. I was scared to wipe my face for fear that my features would go down the drain and suddenly transform into a freakish water monster, if not a gingerbread mud monster. I went to bed dreaming about horse-eating kids afterwards.
nataliel
The Brothers Grimm, ohmy.gif yeah, that was rather creepy and scary, but still GREAT!
beyondredemption
Saw, and Hostile. To tell the truth, though, the Saw didn't seem so scary to me when watching it, but it gave me nightmares. I don't know why movies like these aren't rated NC-17. An R rating is obviously not appropriate, because it suggests that kids can watch if supervised by thier parents. Stupid rating board.
Packy
Well, I just got back from going to see 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Begining', and it made me jump in a few places... Better then the remake of the 1st one in my opinion blink.gif
saponin
sleepy hollow (johnny depp) - i couldnt sleep for days! @.@
the others (nicole kidman) - one of the best scary films ive ever seen.

red eye (rachel mcadams, cillian murphy) wasnt that scary, but it gave me serious heart palpitations. hahaha ^^;
DarkHaze

Dream Catcher

Exorcist <--- This I watched in Elementary school.

Yup. MPAA rating board sucks!!!

And you spelled Hostile is wrong. It's HOSTEL biggrin.gif

When I was 3 years old I watched "American werewolf in london." At night. Which lead to my phobia/love of werewolves. So I watch alot of them in movies like:

Ginger Snaps 1,2 and 3 (my favorite horror movies)
The beast of bray road
American werewolf in london
American werewolf in paris

I can't remember the others. I like to laugh at some horror movies too. Like:

The grudge. The chick looks like Micheal Jackson.

Seed of chucky. In the beggining when he grabbed the knife, I thought he just wanted a piece of cake.

Zombie movies scare me too. Like, the rated R ones. But hey, I'm still not even a teenager what do you expect?? I wrote a KakashiXSakuraXKakashi story. If you click on the top link on my sig, it's called "Curse of the Lycanthrope." and the sequal "Curse of the Lycanthrope 2" which I now realise I must update. The first one has a lime in the last chapter. I also just realized that my rank changed from citizen to apprentice.

Kakashi: Cool! Now you're my apprentice!

Alright!!! Teach me Chidori! I'll stay at your house. Hehehehehehe...............

2 words.... event horizon. none of the shockin you crap its just a giant cocoon of fear.

Ooh, I only saw parts of that movie but I liked it. I wouldn't say it was that scary and junk, but I thought it was interesting. I should definitely give that movie a full viewing.

Zombie/Gore flicks don't scare me at all.

I would agree. Those types of movies really suck. They have no plot and there are only so many ways to gut a human and crap. I don't like slashers or movies that are just pure gore. I do watch some scary movies like The Exorcist and stuff, though. The Omen was good. Seven and the Hannibal series is also good. Cause they actually have plots, zomg. What an alien concept.

QUOTE(Quistis88 @ Dec 8 2004, 08:31 PM)
I'm not really scared by horror movies. I even saw the Japanese version of "The Grudge". Sure, it was a little creepy, but nothing overly scary. I actually laughed throughout most of it. I also did that during "Signs".

Haha, I thought the Grudge (only saw American) was pretty lame. And dear lord, Signs was... why did M. Night make that film? Ha. Unbreakable was so much better... anyway... Signs wasn't scary and it wasn't good. I agree that it is quite laughable.

Blair Witch Project was the worst f*cking "scary" movie I have EVER seen. The movie was just an hour and a half of camera motion induced vomiting. Seriously. My friend and I (along with the rest of the theatre) started throwing popcorn and demanding our money back >_> afterwhich I went to the bathroom to upchuck from said motion sickness...
GREEDisGOOD
Have you noticed that nowadays Hollywood just seems to be shelling one horror movie after another? Well the worst part is most of them are horrible, with terrible plots. It seems the point isn't even to scare you, it's to show unrelenting gore to gross you out. That's not horror. If you want to see scary movies, look more for those that are labeled 'thrillers'. All the good horror movies are years old, like 'The Exorcist', the first 'Halloween', 'Alien', and probably my favorite: 'The Silence of the Lambs'. Also, Stephen King's 'It' scares the shit out of me.
Lee_1995
There has only been one scary movie that kept me awake through the night and that movie is The Grudge.
LastExile
Bad Moon scared me the first time I saw it.
Bling_bling_Angel
*feels absolutely pathetic*

I have zero tolerance for horror flicks, I'm telling you. Even a creepy innuendo in a movie can keep me awake all night. All out horrors like the Grudge 2 kept me sleepless for a week. Until now I can't turn off the lights when I shleep... biggrin.gif Sad, I know. But that's just how I am, I guess, hehe. I really can't watch them and then be okay with it.
ゆきえいり
To me, there are no such things as scarey movies. They just don't scare me. They make me laugh though! It's so funny just watching some chick named Jenny or whatever fall for the killer's trap when they know better. I also like screaming at the scary movies in theatres. I'll yell things at the suspensful moments like, "Jenny! That ain't yo mama! Yo mama dead fool! RUUUUNNN!!!" Then, I get popcorn thrown at me. happy.gif
joanne45
One of the scariest movie of our time is none other than The Changeling. This long forgotten and chilling ghost story from the 80's scares begesus out of me...I watched that movie when I was twelve and it's scares me out in living hell that I felt like a chicken...today, now I'm still freak as hell like a chicken when I watched the same film (now on DVD)!
You don't remember the movie so here's a story.... a famous pianist and composer who has lost his wife and young daughter in a freak car accident. Grief stricken and heartbroken, he moves to Washington state and rents a wonderful old Gothic mansion. Surprise surprise! It's haunted...AAAAAAOOOOOOOOOO ohmy.gif ohmy.gif laugh.gif !!!!
This movie has everything. Dark, spooky stairways draped with dusty cobwebs, a boarded up room with a terrible secret, objects like a small old wheelchair and the red ball bounced down the stairs, a shadowy seance scene, ghostly voices and frightening noises that echo through the huge house, political intrigue and a very solid looking ghost (who has been murdered there in the attic for 70...or I daresay 90 years) who scares the absolute hell out of anyone he shows himself to. It boasts a well thought out plot with several great twists and a very angry murder victim, who doesn't want to be at peace - he just wants revenge, and boy does he get it.
No gore, no ghouls, no blood and guts all over the place, just good cinematography and story telling. Plus the music and the sounds scares you!
Diehard fans of The Ring and The Grudge will enjoy this tale of murder, ghostly revenge, and bodies thrown down wells, The Changeling is right for you. If you should rent it on netflix or buy it on amazon.com...turn off the lights, grab your honey...and get ready to be SCARED.
Robo-Mechanic
Hmm.. What scared me is:

IT
Grudge 2
The Ring [Only the ending though]
GREEDisGOOD
Gore movies suck. They're not meant to scare, only to gross out. If you want a make a scary movie, the less you show the better.

Take it from the master of suspence himself, Mr. Hitchcock: "There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it."

Also, in the case of IT...clowns are just f$*king scary.
Chuchan
