I wouldn't want either of them to be my "love". You know what I'd do instead, if I could? I'd jump into the manga and do some matchmaking between Ed and Winry and Roy and Riza, lol! "Jack shall have Jill; naught shall go ill."
I wouldn't want it any other way. Besides, neither Ed nor Roy are really my type. xD

For friends? I'd choose Ed over Roy because 1) I think Ed is an absolutely AMAZING person, and 2) I'm not crazy about ladies' men. Even if they're just pretending to be ladies' men. xD Don't get me wrong; I love Roy, too! I think they're both great characters and it would be awesome to be friends with them. I just like Ed slightly more.

And it's because I think they're both great characters that I picked "both" in the last poll. Ed and Roy both have incredible backstories and lots of depth and development and wonderful moments as the story progresses. I can't get enough of either of them!

Picked neither as my love...Riza totally has my heart and all, yo.

Picked Roy to be my friend or family member as a lot of people in my family have his personality already, so he'd fit right in - and I also already have a lot of his tendencies as well.

I do want to see more of Roy in the coming chapters (as it appears to be the case) as Roy's goals just seem to more wider in scope - as his goals concern that of improving not only the military, but the military state of Amestris and it's relations with other countries. I do believe that Ed and Al's goals are noble, but they are selfish in a way as well as they're trying to right a wrong that they committed themselves.

I'd choose Ed to be my friend. As obnoxious as he is, it'd be fun to make fun of his height Plus, Roy is way older than me so it'd be awkward if he was my friend...he's more likely to be my teacher XD

As for who I want to see more, I'd pick both because both of them are very important characters in FMA. Even though the title is basically named after Ed, I think Roy has just as big a role as the Elric brothers do.

Aww, I want to be able to vote on the new polls too! Oh well. I'd probably choose Roy as my friend, because I don't think I could deal with Ed properly... I can imagine we'd get frustrated with each other, somehow. He's kind of intense. Besides, how fun would it be to play mind games on Roy and tease him about Riza? This is a hard choice. Technically I am closer to Ed's age and he seems fun to hang out with But I do love Roy, and a man in uniform.

Man I must be annoying with this.. but since I'm allowed to say this kind of stuff in this topic and just hate it when I see facts neglected.. I shall restate my opinion again

True, Ed & Al's goal may be selfish, as Kale stated above BUT it is also notable that they're still trying to save the world too, remember when Kimbley put Al two choices: he can either get his body back or try to save the world but Al refused to choose between those two options. The result: they're spending their time and energy not only for a 'selfish' but also for a selfless goal, which is like doing double-work. But then again I won't got that far as to weigh exactly who does more noble work - the Elric brothers (in case of this topic Ed) or Mustang, coz that'd be ridiculous. Instead I'll draw the line and say simply that both have their nobility and both are hardworking in their own way. Just for the record guys


Oh as far as the poll is concerned: I guess I could give Ed as a love interest a shot, seing as Mustang isn't really my type (laid-back, ladies man; real or not). But even if the love relationship with Ed wouldn't work out I'd love to have him as a friend, because I trully admire him AND believe it or not, I'd love to have Roy as an uncle. I can so picture him that way. When I'd visit him he'd be all: ˝Don't worry if the boys'll put you in trouble, just call your uncle Roy and he'll settle the problems right away^˝ (Just like he was when he met Winry)

I couldn't pick Ed as my love. He's way too young for me. I'd feel like a dirty old woman cougaring after a child On a completely shallow note, like FMAobsessed I'm a sucker for a man in uniform

As for which I would like as a friend or family, I couldn't decide so I sat on the fence and picked both.

Being a Mustang fan, of course I'd like to see more of him in future chapters and episodes.

I do love Ed... he is so cute, but his personnality would probably drive me crazy in no time. lol--plus like Birdie it'd be a case of 'come here little boy...' 0.o And I just can't go there. So definitely Mustang! ......who is waaay more then merely cute!! =))

I'd happily take either of them as friends or family though, and I always want to see more of Mustang in the manga. I find his plotting much more entertaining then Ed's current explosion

God!Father is hot but the fact that he has the voice of a feeble old man is quite a turnoff.

Anyway, Ed. They're both attractive but I've always preferred Ed. He's closer to my age and he doesn't need expensive, fancy outfits to look hot. =P

I love both of them.

Ed behaves a lot like me but I don't know for sure if that's a positive thing in a relationship or not xp Maybe two stubborn people can't live together very well O.o
I think Roy is a good choice for an uncle or such, someone who helps you with the right connections and a threatening look here and there
But I'd love to have them both as friends! (and see them both more in the manga/anime ^^)

Neither for love (I mean, come ON, there are other boys out there! *cough*Ling, young!Hohenheim, Al*cough*), Ed for family (well, I guess both would be fine, too ~ Roy as an uncle would be fun, but I view Ed as a brother the most ), and both for the last one, of course.
