i can't give you a precise summary of tobenai tenshi, queen, since it's still in japanese and i barely understood it. but the story revolves around Almony whom Ed and Al meet while walking to Hisengarde.

anyway, they befriend her and Ed teaches her alchemy.

her father is a reknowned alchemist. but he's been acting strange lately... and chimeras were linked to his assistant kamilla and... uhm, i really don't know what's going on aside from this...

Also it was shadowed with me being very ill (hard stomach aches, vomited 2 times yesterday @_@), its quite a funny game like the first one ^^
also it gets boring very fast it is fresher than tobenai tenshi, but still the same somehow... running,button smashing,dying at the end bosses.... unbalanced shit XD

and WTF I spent 20 heal items on battle with Scar, but then...

aaaw... poor rolfie got sick... XL

I still want to play it though (Riza and Roy as support characters still alluring to me)... plus since the anime ended and the manga comes out every month... and the movie is still next year... so bo~ring >_<

Finally found the time to beat the game.
Anyway, here's my little spoiler-free review of the game:

Gameplay:
Straight-forward, simple controls, nothing much new compared to Tobenai Tenshi. The last boss wasn't all that hard.

Storyline:
In my opinion, the game is strictly for FMA fans. Players who have not watched at least 10 episodes wouldn't have much of a clue to what's going on. It'd be pretty hard to get into the characters or understand why Ed has those sudden emotional outbursts.

Graphics:
Compared to some of the screenshots I've seen for Tobenai Tenshi, the graphics have, more or less, improved. I still think the character sprites look a bit awkward though...

Music:
New music, not from the anime. The pieces were a bit over-used though.

Replay Value:
There's really no reason to play the game for more than 3 times. 1st time: get through the game. 2nd time: collect pictures for the gallery. (and the pictures are nothing new! All seen during first play-through.)


Overall:
The animated cut-scenes made the game all worthwhile! Lots of funny scenes. Anyway, it's a great game! (Now if only they'd made the game longer and had a higher replay value...)

so far riza joined me, but she's useless -.- too low damage, and she dies too often XD but revives herself.. and again no reason to heal al, let him die, go and press O --> revived, full HP

i'm stuck at the end of the 5th scenario.. the end boss is real shit XP

Oh and the anime cutscenes are the best, but again only 11 of them.. why not putting in more? Oh, and they now use anime sounds for the scenes ^^ the hand clapping sound in the scenes is the same from the anime ... in tobenai tenshi is sounded weird.. the whole sound was weird...

well... the cel shading looks better than the 3D graphics from Tobeten, but ... too less animations >_< I mean, Ed stands there in Taisa's Office like he is going to battle him.. o_O
also at Rockbells... they could've given the character more different animations, and using the pictures for dialogue from tobetai is lame too...

~_~ i still wana wana... even if riza's weak... no roy yet? so, are you free to roam around into different places? or are they all infested with monsters like tobenai?

all infested.. but in the cities you see normal NPCs walk around, but u cant talk to them... ~_~
oh, and roy only appeared once to burn up a "known" bad guy...

eh? i thought he was also support like riza? btw, does riza really use double daggers in the game?

I'll answer that question. No, she doesn't. Guns all the way. The reason she had a dagger was because she ran out of bullets in that cut-scene.

And yes, Roy is also a support. (If you choose to go after Roy instead of Hawkeye or Armstrong at a certain part of the game.)

I love boss battles! it gets my adrenaline pumping and my mind racing in trying to figure out how to defeat it and stay alive. I only died once in Tobenai (stupid crab boss!).

At least it adds to the replay value. *sighs* The game was too short...

ahehehe, another tobenai tenshi, huh? I wonder if they're still thinking of FMA 3.... even if the game isn't "revolutionary" and all, and may even be quite boring at times, it's still FMA :,3

maybe more interaction with NPCs and such real RPG stuff would be nice...
and make it LONGER and add more REPLAY Features...

if I get to make FMA3 I'd install the following:

1.) battle mode would be similar to kingdom hearts.
2.) install learnable special moves or skills per character.
3.) interchangeable party members
4.) mini games and places to roam around w/o monsters or battles
5.) unite attacks
6.) shops... definitely item and accessory shops...
7.) longer and deeper storyline (not connected to the anime of course)
8.) secret scenarios
9.) sidequests
10.) cameo appearances of some characters

hehehe, sounds like a heavy-duty rpg, huh? btw, does FMA2 also have an unlockable gallery section? do you have to collect them as items on your 2nd play just to unlock them like FMA1 or do they automatically unlock after your 1st game?

you auto unlock the movies. there is a gallery for pictures, but dunno how to get.. looks like you have to play the game twice again etc.

well, as long as i could watch those fmv's again... say, since you choose to follow either roy, riza or armstrong, does that mean there's a new fmv when you follow one of them?

actually, what I had in mind was that preview in the official site... the "snappy-happy" roy scene... so, that shows when you follow riza, right? so it would change if you follow roy or armstrong instead?

nope, this scene comes before you choose one... you stick with riza , and then armstrong appears first to help you out, then roy joins in..
after it you enter a weird pyramid where you can choose whom to follow. so no new FMV for each character :/

WHAAAAAT?! Those cheapskates!!! what's the point of playing the whole thing again if you get the same thing anyway. stupid Square Enix... Squaresoft used to be more innovative than this.

looks like the game is ultra short.. after 9 hours I got 10 of 11 movies and encounter Crowley now...
and Al is weak as in the end of tobenai tenshi.. Ed has more Attack Power than Al and more combos... =/ They should make him much stronger, or at least give him weapons to equip like in tobenai tenshi... I wonder why they screw the games up so much? FMA's fan community is raising like hell, and what they do? throw out 2 "RPG"s which are either short or look poor, or 1/3 of the story you know already from the anime...
Akaki features the Lior Scenario, you fight the train guy with the automail machinge gun, you fight against Scar, you meet winry at rizembool... why not lenthgen it? Why not built a story around? why they throw in scar for a boss fight you loose and then he disappears? then they shouldve put in the Sins, too! .... I dunno, the old Squaresoft Games had so great stories , but lately all suck :/ FF X-2 was lame, Unlimited Saga was lame, all lately RPGs are lame somehow... Suikoden 4 was dissappointing, so was Star Ocean 3.
They should split up to Squaresoft and Enix again and make better games And I hope Dragon Quest 8 US will be a light in this darkness :>

Yeah, I don't understand why they put Scar in and then totally forget about him either. They could have easily made another scenerio where Ed gets a surprise attack from Scar or something... (at least explain what happened to him.)

Oh, and it is possible to beat Scar.

maybe those scenarios where thee to lengthen the game and somehow add-in those characters... and yeah, it would've been more interesting if the homunculi were there... even if it's just lust, gluttony and envy to avoid any spoilers. if the liore, scar and rizenpool scenarios were there, then that means that the actually akaki elixir no akuma story is really short... so approx. 9 hours total game time?! now that's short!

unfortunately, Square can't unmerge from Enix since they desperately need the money. if it unmerges with Enix, it'll focus on video games and not anime so it won't make any difference since Enix handles comics and anime.

It took me 9:34h to beat the game... the 2 endbosses are jokes like in Tobenai Tenshi...
New Things I found out:

-Al can collect Cats. they are equipable just for him, and the last cat kicks ass... Al does 20+ Hit Combos with this Cat equiped, what made the 2 last Bosses easy... *sigh*
-On the 2nd Run, Almony appears in Liore along with a collection of cats you got so far.
-Gallery pictures can be unlocked by collectting crystal shards ... so it's the same like in tobenai, but easier to identify, since they aren't just treasure boxes now...
-
-It strangely looks like Akaki takes place before Tobenai Tenshi...o_O

Yeah, about the cats, hehe, they look cute. What I found interesting was that Al can't run if you equip him with cats...

hmm? thats not true! He only can't run if you equip the red Cat! He gets a super bonus on all stats, but cant run...
the best one really is the monster-like cat with the circle on the head XD Combo 20+ rocks... XD So far I found 4 cats :> and if you equip one and wait, Al sits down and the cat meows out of Al! you even see a SFX In kanji for the meow floating out of Al XDD

It was also the red cat where you can't call/command Al anymore, right?

And yeah, I agree with you, the 2 endbosses were jokes. I was expecting more of a challenge...

that was a red vest :> Al gets also a good bonus, but you can't call him anymore.. useless XD

well... the stat boost i dont need, its easy to figure it out. no, i mean the one like "you dont lose you weapon if you get smacked up" and stuff like this. so the items were there are only yellow Kanji and/or percentages in the yellow kanji...
