^^ I just want to add that the translation is excellent!!
I'd like to praise about how they translated "sakki" on page 18, bottom right panel as "My thirst for blood." It's very smart, IMO. Very impressive.

Oh, BTW, they didn't translate it, but on the very last panel, the one with "END," has a small note saying they would love to hear your opinions of this manga.

I'm thinking of writing to GanGan how much I liked this one!!

ETA: Gahaha, I see the translation of the last note. Although, the letter should still go c/o the GanGan Comic.

Weren't some of the names changed, tho? I don't have the RAW at hand right now, but if I remember right it's Henbukumaru (They even get to call her Genpukumaru) and Tsugihide, not Tsukuhide.

Also, the note is translated, look at the bottom right corner (altho' they put it as a message from Arakawa sensei herself).

I took it granted that they probably got them correct because those are the easy part, so I skipped them. XDDD
(Yes, it should be "Henbukumaru," or possibly "Henpukumaru," tho "Henbukumaru," is more correct sounding, but difinitely NOT "Genpukumaru"!! )

And, yap, I see the note now. And, it could mean eather from Arakawa-sensei, or the editor, but since Arakawa-sensei normally does not take fan-letters directly, the writing should be addressed to c/o the GanGan editor.

That's why I usually don't do Chinese->English translations for new stuff unless I have the raw handy for checking with names and such...

We weren't planning on translating it. (Or at least, I wasn't.) It would just take a lot of work since it doesn't have furigana and is over 60 pages, and I don't have time for that. @__@ So...good thing some other group got to it! XD

But, it turned out well..

I've been thinking...what are the chances of an Arakawa side-story compilation? You know, a tankobon with STRAY DOG, all three (four) chapters of Shanghai, Bat in a Blue Sky, etc. Otherwise I doubt we'll see any of them state-side.

Ah, I just finished reading the scans for Bat in the Blue Sky. It's really sad, and though I wish Arakawa-san would make a sequel, it's a really good ending too.

Henpukumaru/Bat is a really good character too. Original, at the least. And in my opinion, she's prettier than anyone in FMA (no offense to the fans of the FMA girls).

I really wish we could see more of this, but alas, gotta deal with what we got, 'eh?
