I like you picture but Ed's head seems a lil' bit too long for me.But please don't take it the wrong way , because the picture is still very good.

True, I made him look older
I'm not very good, something's always a bit wrong. His head should have been more round on the whole.

@DarkWater Alchemist: Nice drawing of Edward. I think you did a good job on his eyes and hair.

his eyes are amazing. I agree that his face seemed a little too long, maybe too narrow, but it wasn't bad. If you're trying to make him look older, then don't make his cheeks as chubby. just a word of advice ^^;
but the colouring is pretty good and like I said, his eyes are awesome

don't give up! will make it some day! just look at PSV football club it took them 3 years just to get to the knockout stages! a lot of time! u are still very young and can work on it!
hagane_no_tokage
Nov 26 2004, 07:21 PM
not bad. but yes, his face is a little too long... and his eyes should be a little larger... but you did say you were going for a slightly older version, so maybe that was done on purpose? but overall a nice piece.

kudos.

I don't consider myself young, actually. But I'm young of heart, and that will have to do

edit: I modified Ed a little, to make his head less long. Do you think it's better now?

@DarkWater Alchemist: *stares a long time at the new, colored edited version* THAT'S AWESOME!

I'm ganna tell all my friends to come on here and check out your pics, cause they're so good. I think you did a nice job on the coloring. The face looks much better too.

@DarkWater Alchemist: No prob, I'm just saying it like it is

*hugs back*. That pic of Edward is one of the best fanart's of him I've seen. I like it when the fanart's look like the creater themself drew it

. Some people, like me, try to draw Edward, but in the end, make him look bad

. That's why I'm ashamed and don't post any of my fanart

.

Aww. *pets Hex-sama* I know how it is.^^ With my style I have to be reaaaallly careful, since I'm going for a realistic approach, and I'm not good enough to where it would look right if I just drew at my normal speed yet. Hughes was an issue a few nights ago. I wanna get away from the big eyes for children but I can't adjust that to my style yet... ;_;
Nice job! I looked at the colored pic and was like, "Wow. Looks like out of the anime!"
Like Hex-sama, I really admire the ability to do that.^^ More art, hmm?
Hex-Sama
Dec 3 2004, 10:32 PM
@dragonflame327: Realistic is good. I can't draw realistic, it would look so bad.

I do have like... two good drawings, but I don't have a scanner, so I can't post them if I wanted to anyways

... Oh well.
@DarkWater Alchemist: Yeah! What dragonflame said, more fanfics please!

Can you do requets? Pretty please? *gives puppy eyes*

Dec 4 2004, 04:22 AM
Hex-Sama I could try to do a request if you like

I'll try, I promise, and I'll surely do more fanart ^^

The coloring is like a cel!
The outline seems to be incomplete in some places though, which kinda subtracts from the pic. I have problems with that too sometimes... What did you color this with?
The drawing itself is pretty good too!

@DarkWater Alchemist: YAY!

Okay, I'll tell you what I want. Can you please draw a picture of Edward holding that spear he made in the first episode. It doesn't matter what pose he's in, I'll be happy with anything. Thank you so much! *bows to DarkWater's greatness*

The colouring is done in paint shop pro, wich is the cause for the outlines thing. I might still try to make it better, but it's a lot of *stupid* work. I could have overdrawn the original lines into vectior lines, but I'm not good at overdrawing, so I rather keep the lines, even when they're like this.
Hex-Sama Allrighties ^^ I'll try to make one for you

Well...
DarkWater Alchemist aka Kinlyu of Fantanimation and Decayed Productions is proud to present... a new fanart, made for Hex-Sama... that is fiinally ready and even got a background... http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/13199425/I suggest you try full viewing it, it's rather big (1000x700)

@DarkWater Alchemist: *claps* I applaude you again!

You did a wonderful job on the whole thing I think, maybe a itty bitty tiny small mistake on the length between the eyes, but that is it. Over all... 10 out of 10 my friend!

Thank you so much for posting my request. *bows to DarkWater's greatness*

Much better Dark...way better than I ever could imagine!
Hex-sama- I understand what you mean about being ashamed. I too am too ashame to even upload it right here. It was drawn a few months ago...maybe 4 months or so...(thrown it away already casue she is not satisfied)... and I it's the ugliest thing I've ever saw.

You could post your art too Lady B

Even when you think it's bad, you could learn from it and practice to get better.

Yeah you're right Dark...though I mostly love comments...but I don't want to bring shame to this forum...with my crappy fanart...I show you when I'm finished... but I'm don't know how to bring it inside my computer so I will try to find a way...not confident if I can post it...

@Lady Battousai: How do you know your not good? That's just your opinion. How do you know that your not good if you don't let someone review it? I'll probably like your work, and I bet a bunch of others well too. Come on, you seem like a brave person to me. Post it. If people critize you, tell them to get the guts and skill to post their own fanart and see how it feels.

Well...during art class...I was the a few amongst the poeple who mostly got scolded by the teacher for drawing and making such crappy arts...
It makes me so sad...

when he does that though I always ignore it...I know my art it not as worst as it seems but I think it's horrible...since my friends do intend to comment a lot.

nah, when she's yelling and criticizing me it's all for my own good, i would never have gotten as far as i am in art without her nagging and criticizing for the past 11 years. and she doesn't yell at the little kids or other students, it seems, just me

I think its good that teachers get on our cases. Its so they make us think we can do better. They just don't want to edmit how good you are now, so they tell you something different besides "Your the best ever"... At least that's what I think

it's pretty good! you just have to practice on the length of ed's face. But overall it's good.
to darkwater alchemist in your earlier post you said you wanted to practice more to become perfect...even though you knew you can't be perfect..rite?
well it is true that you can never be perfect...but you can try to be perfect and draw, and draw until you are sastified

Thanks... Sometimes I think I have to develop my own style, but then I realize I do have my own style, but I don't really like it. I need to draw more stuff. Just more... full figures, clothing, things...
