This month's (December) GanGan comic comes with a Fullmetal Alchemist drama CD with it. 鋼の錬金術師 天上の宝冠 後編　(Fullmetal Alchemist: The Celestial Diadem, Part 2 of 2). It features the anime cast in an original scenario with new characters.

Description of Fullmetal Alchemist: The Celestial Diadem

The Elric brothers, in their search for the Philosopher's Stone, arrive in a territory governed by the Erland royal family. It's said that the Erlands rule their land with a sacred stone called Heaven's Tears that's been passed down for generations. With a chance that Heaven's Tear could offer some sort of clue to the Philosopher's Stone, the Elric brothers decide to investigate. Along the way, they rescue a young girl, Angelot (who also uses alchemy) from some suspicious figures and suddenly find themselves caught up in a huge conspiracy...

Kind of a side-story like Jude the Blind-Alchemist. Interesting.

Too bad I can't understand Japanese... Maybe some day a nice person will come along, decide to translate the CDs and upload his treasure onto the Net. Fat chance of that happening, but still it's nice to dream.

There have been a few drama CDs with original stories out already~ Some either come with the GanGan comics, others sold seperately with a booklet~

if someone can get me a copy of the CD, or can make some mp3's of the tracks and upload them (since i'm broke and can't afford international shipping charges right now... ~_~ but if they are bonus CD's, can you even get them via normal stores? O_o) i would be more than happy to try and translate them. i can't make any promises to how precise the trans would be, since i'm not fluent in japanese yet, but i'm pretty confident in what i know, and it's great practice. translating by ear is something i need to work on more anyway... if anybody knows where i might be able to get my paws on the tracks, i'd love to try translating them!

I don't think you can get them at normal stores, cos I've never seen the previous drama CDs out anywhere else before. To date, there are 4 drama CDs that came free with GanGan monthly compilation comics (2 side-stories, 2 CDs each). Titles of the stories: 霧のオグターレ & 天上の宝冠.

Aside from those free Cds, there are also a couple of side stories as comic CDs(these I think you can find online with not much problem). One, 砂礫の大地, is the story about Russell and Fletcher (before the anime was made, Arakawa-sensei made a side story on them outside the manga and that was incorperated into the anime series itself). This CD was made BEFORE the anime itself, so the voice cast was completely different. The seiyuu for Ed was the same one who does Ichizen Ryoma from Prince of Tennis. It might be a LITTLE painful for those who aren't mentally prepared to listen to. (Japanese info)
