Aren't the songs basically the same except for the bonus tracks or something? It's just one of those marketing strategies.
love_me_destroyer

That has got to be on a final exam somewhere. biggrin.gif

Honestly, I don't buy CDs very often. The last one I bought a month ago, but the last last one . . . I think it must've been more than a year now. This list is probably from the last 6 years or so.

- Billy Gilman: A Classic Christmas (yeah, go ahead and laugh, but I LIKE it)
- L'Arc~en~Ciel - ark
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets OST
- Celtic Devotion (instrumental stuff rocks)
- Fullmetal Alchemist OST 1
Vx Tao Ren xV
I actually just got these in yesterday.. ^_^

-Hagaren Housou Kyoku: Kaku no Chigai wo Miseteyaru! Special Radio DJCD
-Fullmetal Alchemist Complete Best
-KING: "STARS -you don't have to worry about tomorrow-"

Then the other 2 are.. ::thinks::

-Hagaren Song File -Roy Mustang- (preorder.. but I still bought it ^^;;)
-HAL: "the starry sky"

I barely buy anything that isn't Japanese.. x_<
love_me_destroyer
there is lots of non-crappie music out there. try bands like bad religion and pennywise

We can't really determine what's bad and what's not. Music is a relative subject. No matter how much you really hate a song/artist/genre, there will be at least one person out there who will think otherwise.

I listen to a lot of bad music...

Hell, I even own a NunSlaughter album. laugh.gif
Quistis88
Haha. Someone who readily tells others that they listen to "bad" music. Funny. biggrin.gif

I don't even know what/who NunSlaughter is. tongue.gif I'm not much into mainstream either myself.

Well, NunSlaughter is basically a really cheesy, untalented and generally crass death metal band from Ohio with all the musical inventiveness of a donkey playing a keytar... I just find them fun to listen to, despite all this.

here's an mp3
Quistis88
"Untalented" is right. ohmy.gif You listen to this stuff sometimes? It actually hurts my head, haha. tongue.gif I have a feeling nuns aren't all they slaughter. There goes my brain cells.
Carnal Malefactor
Oh, I bought the Blind Guardian - Imaginations Through the Looking Glass dvd among these, as well.

You should see their live act.

It involves the chucking of bones into the audience.
Quistis88
Intriguing. What sort of bones?
Carnal Malefactor

Deer, from what I've been told.

Worst part: this band has been around for going on 20 years! blink.gif
Quistis88
Wow. They've been around for longer than others who are musically better (harmonically speaking anyway, as from that sample you gave, I couldn't really tell whether they were just fooling around or really playing musically). Once again, wow.

Deer? Where do they get those bones? Is that allowed?

True, we all know "real" punk is always better than "pop" punk and people who listen to "real" punk (aka "real" music) are so much cooler and more punk than people who don't.
love_me_destroyer
ummmmm. being a punk isnt about being cool. its actually the complete opposite.
Gashole
Good point. Who wants to be a conformist? Not punk rockers.
love_me_destroyer
amen gashole!
Gashole
Apparently sometimes I can be a little TOO subtle. Oh well.
love_me_destroyer
for the record, i knew you where messing with me.
Gashole
Awesome. Now I'm just gonna listen to Bad Religion and be a real punk instead of a just-a-wannabe punk. cool.gif
Aqua_Alchemist
Last few cds i BOUGHT hmmm:

Radiohead-Amnesiac

Metallica- Ride the Lightning

AFI- The Art of Drowning

HIM- Love Metal (only got about 3 good songs on though imo)

The Mars Volta- (too tired to remember tongue.gif)

oh i forgot, the glassfactory demo cd, please support them at their website

love_me_destroyer

Metallica- Ride the Lightning

Please tell me you got this used, or in a trade...
Quistis88
Haha. biggrin.gif Does Bacon not like Metallica or the album or . . . something?
Carnal Malefactor
Support music, not brand names.
love_me_destroyer
that's damn right, bacon.
Aqua_Alchemist
Yeah I actually got it off a friend whose really into black metal and stuff, he had two copies. IMO Metallica are good when they first started off and have progressively become more worse, and from a perspective from a bassist, Cliff Burton is a legend.

Update, bought another CD today, One Hot Minute, Red hot chilli peppers, bought it mainly to listen to the slap bass, which i'm attempting to perform, im also trying to play hysteria by muse, which is a bitch cool.gif .
love_me_destroyer
update for my list too:
El Centuro: i Prohibido!
El Centuro: Alto
Alto was pretty bad.....and i only got iProhibido! for 2 songs, the rest of it was just ok.
Carnal Malefactor
I'm contemplating putting a bid on this Alchemist - Spiritech cd on ebay... except the seller is in Australia... but I have a snowball's chance in hell of finding this album in the U.S. and it's an amazing album... so conflicted... unsure.gif
DarkWater Alchemist
Uhmm. *think*

last:
Within Temptation - The Silent Force
Sirenia - An Elixir for Existence
