As of 1st September, 2010, we are changing the rules regarding Spoilers for FMA manga chapter 108/FMA:Brotherhood anime episodes 63-64. These rules will be updated and changed as the situation changes later.
Because we wish to protect FMA fans who have not yet seen or read the final of FMA manga/ FMA: Brotherhood anime from unwarranted spoiling of series final content, we ask all the posters on our board to use spoiler tags and add Series Final Spoiler Warning when mentioning content from FMA manga chapter 108/FMA: Brotherhood anime episodes 63-64.
Rules regarding posting of Series Final Contents from FMA manga/FMA: Brotherhood anime
1. You can now mention the content of FMA manga Chapter 108 and FMA: Brotherhood anime Episodes 63 & 64 outside of their designated discussion threads. However this is only permitted if;
a. you use spoiler tags still.
You MUST add a spoiler tag (the black box that covers the words) to cover the spoiler content, by typing [ spoiler ] at the start of what you want to hide and [ /spoiler ] at the end (do NOT add spaces). To read, highlight the covered area --->This is how a spoiler will look
b. within Fullmetal Alchemist discussion.
Because the readers of threads in these non-FMA discussion forums have even greater possibility of haven't seen the series finals for these FMA series, please try to avoid bringing up FMA: Brotherhood anime/FMA manga spoilers in General Discussion (Open Chat, General Music/Video/Game), General Anime, General Manga or Spam Central.
c. includes Series Final Spoiler Content Warning on your post.
In addition to using the Spoiler covers, you MUST include the warning on your post to let the readers of your post know that what is under the spoiler cover is Series Final Spoiler. For example, if you were discussing something that happens in Episode 64, put something like, (Warning! Series Final Spoiler ahead!) before the actual spoiler content that is covered with the spoiler covers.
2. You can post images or fanart from these series finals, but only via a link. Please also make sure you warn viewers of your post that the image on that link contains Series Final Spoilers. As above, please restrict this to Fullmetal Alchemist topics only. The same applies for Fanfiction, if it contains spoilers you must link only. If only later chapters will contain spoilers, you only need to link them.
3. You can mention the content of FMA maga chapter 108/FMA: Brotherhood anime episodes 63-64 in the New FMA Movie thread, provided that adequate spoiler cover and Series Final Spoiler Warning would accompany for the spoiler content.
(However, if the intention of your post is about discussing FMA:Brotherhood/manga ending or about the series content, then please do not use New FMA Movie thread as the proxy for the discussion threads for those. Also likewise, please do not post lengthy discussions about the new FMA movie outside of New FMA Movie thread.)
4. You can use images from Chapter 108 and Episodes 63 and 64 in your signature and avatar as long as they are not direct spoilers. If you are unsure what would be a direct spoiler, please check with one of the Moderators before you upload them. Any content (image or text) in the signature that is revealing series final content will be removed from signature by board staff with or without further notice.
These rules are still keeping in mind that the final episode of official English dubbed FMA:Brotherhood anime has not been shown by Funimation yet. Since some fans only see the Funimation version we do not want to spoil anything for them. And besides, everyday, we do get many many FMA fans who may not post and join discussions on the threads but visit the FMA discussions forums and read these threads on our board, and the vast number of these visitors have NOT SEEN the series final for FMA:Brotherhood anime (or FMA manga) yet, and we would very much appreciate everyone's understanding and help in avoiding unwarranted spoiling of these FMA fans of the series final content for these FMA series.
As stated these rules will alter as the situation changes, but follow them from today onward.
Thank-you for your time and understanding.
