THANK YOU.
105 was just made that much more epic!
LONG CHAPTER WAS LONG
I can't believe how many pages were missing out of that first scan. And I was lolling hard at your added in text like (They're 5 feet away, what a seat!) and stuff! Hawkeye and them better get down there, I want to see Darius, her and Jelso kick some butt as well.
I love the last panel, you see Izumi cracking her knuckles

Oh I LOVE her. And I loved that she has been watching out for Mustang, pulling him from harms way. Oh I can't wait for 106!
(and please let Scar live!!)
Thanks again. And praise whoever posted those higher quality scans. (photos lol)

....After reading and seeing the whole chapter am I the only one that thinks Bradley will survive all of this? It seems he's still alive. Maybe they will use PS to heal him or at least stop the bleeding (although neither Scar nor Ran Fan are capable of doing it)? Maybe somehow he will become average human again and just like chimeras and Al he will return to his original body? He deserves that IMO, even though he was a villain (and killed Fuu).
Now that they're all revived I wonder what Grumman will do. Will he try to seize control over central and fight the "rebels"?
See how much he aged in a matter of seconds at the end? This is probably the effect of his stone's power running out, like when the other Homonculus simply "disappeared". So no, he's most likely dead and won't be brought back to life. His death and leaving words were just too epic for it to be temporary!
The one whose fate is up in the balance is Scar. He suffered a number of injuries to the arms and shoulders when fighting Bradley, and that last wound to his stomach is really nasty if he has trouble walking after receiving it. In order to survive, I think he would have to receive first aids rather quickly. Perhaps May will go back up to check on him? Or Olivia and her men will go down and discover him.

I see no reason to kill Scar off at this point. If Arakawa was going to do that, I'd think she would have already.
Personally, I wouldn't have minded his dying, since he's been little more than a walking action scene for a long time now, but killing him off at this point, when he's sort of come around, it would seem a little mean-spirited.

Nah, he's dead. The lighting, the aging (I'm pretty sure it was the years catching up with him and not just a nice shading effect), the admission that in the end, the humans he always hated so much had made his life worth living, the profuse bleeding from having his eye and hands cut off...sorry. The "life" that Ranfan sensed from him was the PS.
Funny thing is I ignored all the tiny "babum" bubbles going through, but then when they got louder and Hohenheim explained it I was all OH SNAP and went back to add the note in XD

Thank you Rena-chan for raw, Darkside for scanlation (whoever you are) and Hissouburaiken for translation!!!!
I've been going nuts since thursday (seeing threads called "is this...the end?" and "well the good guys are screwed" on mangafox (thankfully, these were kinda missleading...)), and NOT studying for my exam in cell biology...But even if I'm impatient I really appreciate everything!!
Ok, I haven't read spoilers, they are my worst enemy! (First and only time I read spoilers were 103, and it ruined everything) Been waiting for scanlation and when I checked onemanga for the 9000th time this week, I got a heartattack!! WEE!!
My thoghts while reading:
-- Yey, more chibi!Al references!
--Father is chillaxing...
--what is the sfx on the first pages?..."do--n"-something.
--well, ...., big lightning...but the others weren't dead, at least...(scar, riza, the chimeares...)
--omg!!~~*swoon* Hoho!papa!!
--OMG Mei-can, you go girl!!
(--looking at how many pages there are in this chapter...~~*sob sob* Arakawa-sensei, I love you!!)
--a sun...that's pretty warm...Hoho knows his science! Fusion indeed!
--Aha! It was heartbeats-like sound!! "dodun"
--Spirit, soul, body. So the spirit is still intact, until the soul leaves your body through DEATH. Doesn't work when you rip 'em apart.
--(just, don't die, Hoho...pleeease)
--YEES! Souls find your body!! (don't take the wrong one...although Garfield maybe wants a female one...) I WANNA SEE THIS ANIMATED!! YESS!!
--:'DDDD
--Ed...Al...I'm about to cry (this reminds me of my dream two nights ago...)...Ptff, Hoho, you show off.....What about Scar..?...? Oh, he's gonna own Bradley. don'tdiedon'tdiedon'tdie, I finally like you...(Scar, that is. Bradley can go and die, which he did.)
--RanFan has stone..? (Kimbley and RanFan will be in-laws..*dear god, kit-chan, you're in my brain...*)
--No, NOW Scar is doing his part of the plan!
--So the revesed transmutation-circle didn't put the souls back, but it...made them able to use alchemy even though Father stopped it.
--Yeah, Ed, show him! Brake his chair...
It was awesome, and relieving and long!!
Next there will be some serious butt-kicking!!!
Thank you again, people, and Arakawa-sensei!!!
(ugg, really long post.)

A pretty solid chapter.
Part of my Hohenheim theory was correct, just not the specifics. I don't like the idea of those spare souls having their personalities and talking as they lead the souls back to the people of Amestris, that's a little cheesy, but Arakawa definitely gets points for creativity.
Bradley/Wrath's death was long coming. This guy really is the champion of the homunculi, in my opinion. I realize that Greed and Pride are still around, but Bradley took a real beating and kept coming, fighting all on his own, not taking any outside help or anything. You have to tip your hat at this guy, he was a great opponent.
It looks like Edward, Alphonse, and the others will finally get to use their alchemy to its fullest to fight Father now. I just hope Ed doesn't get overshadowed. Also, Roy is still blind! Will they be able to get revenge on Truth itself and regain what they've lost? Or is what lost, lost forever? And what about what Alphonse's body said to him the last time, about him coming to retrieve his body again only leading to tragedy? I still think Hohenheim plans to sacrifice himself somehow, to restore his sons' bodies.

Pride doesn't have much longer me thinks.
You notice that Father hasn't really given a crap about him?
During the last few pages especially, when Ed and Al got there alchemy back, Father was right there by Pride but did nothing to shield him from the attacks. Pride had to dodge around (and with just one eye too)
He doesn't have much longer.

What confuses me is I thought the whole reason he had Homunculi was because he wanted a family, so why doesn't he seem to care about any of them? I think the only one that ever got any attention was Gluttony when his Philosopher's Stone depleted.

Finally had a chance to read the chapter.
I love how Hohenhiem had his couter transmutation attack. I also loved how Ed and Al backed him up during the fight.
Wrath! You get you arms blown off and still manage to fight with a sword in your effing teeth. That fight was awesome.
I wonder if Scar is going to die. I thought when he was going over to the transmutation circle that he was going to heal his wounds. Instead he activated that huge reverse Xingese Alchemy circle.

Yeah, there are some wonky bits here and there in the scanlation that onemanga has right now. But it's still readable... hopefully they will switch to a fixed version later though!
The part where Ed and Al were "supporting" Hohenheim reminds me of the Dragon Ball Z movie, where Goku, Gohan, and Goten were kamehameha-ing against Broly... XD

You're probably right about this (what I wrote was only my wishful thinking) but PS was made from several people and we know they can distinguish that (for example when they sensed Gluttony they sensed more than one person if I remember correctly). That's why I thought she had specifically Bradley in mind.
Besides, she should have been able to notice a difference between alive Bradley having PS and dead Bradley having PS.

Now the Black Knight really appears like a sissy

As for Scar, I hope he survives. Him being alone with Ranfan makes me wonder if he will try something to steal the stone for May's benefit...

Well, you should know this by now. You keep destroying a homunculus over and over again, eventually their stone runs out and they can't survive anymore. It's no different than Mustang's fight with Lust. It shouldn't be that hard to figure out...

I somehow highly doubt that. I think Scar and everybody else have come to the realization that the Philosopher's Stone is going to do absolutely nothing in the end. Nobody is immortal, the Philosopher's Stone will not give you immortality, especially if you're repeatedly attacked and killed over and over again, that stone is going to give out. I don't think Scar would be stupid enough to do something like that. He's a lot smarter than that. They're all allied now.

I've just read the chapter (yay for being able to avoid spoilers this time

)...and wow! 67 pages!
Dragonballish Hohenheim! Also I love Father's idea of create a small sun to destroy everything.
Wrath...it was about time for him to depart, he was the toughest among the homunculi even if it hadn't the same number of souls in his philosopher's stone. I mean being able to wound your opponent without arms and an eye, is a quite uncommon skill...also I think that his last words will be relevant. Probably about the Ran Fan and Ling future (if he will become the King of Xing).
Now I don't really know what the heck will happen in the next chapters, but I'm sooo impatient!

Well, that was a very good chapter. I found the part where Ed and Al backs up their father very touching. On fathers, the other daddy-o in the room was very awesome. I mean, creating a sun in his palm. I don't know if it's me who's just inexperienced in these kinds of final showdown/last boss moments in manga and anime, but I thought that was pretty original. Either way it was pretty cool. The scene where he launches it at Team Hero however, looks a lot like some RPG special-attack. "Limit Break: Fireball!!!" It was sorta funny.
Both Hohenheim, and Mei, (although not as much), had their moments, and while Ed didn't do much, I wasn't bothered by it. He mostly got thrown around and obeyed his dad's orders, which I was happy to see. While he is the main protagonist, he is still only sixteen years old. This wasn't his part of the battle, there was nothing he could have contributed with. And it's good that he realizes this and acts accordingly, let's those who knows what they are doing fight and doesn't get in their way. You can't aways be the hero.
Glad to see everyone's alive, by the way. That soul tornado is something I'm looking forward to seeing animated. When I think about it, this chapter was full of cool shots, including the one just mentioned. The part where Wrath looks up through the trashed ceiling and the sun shines down on the scene was one of them. The whole Scar vs Wrath fight had some really well-drawn and awesomely shaded panels through it, and I really hope the anime will capture the mood and epicness of it. The way Bradley met his end could have been more satisfying for me (I would have liked to see the bastard get his body ripped apart), but it was still good. And Scar can't die yet, he has to reveal his name first! That little inner monolouge to his brother though very much made it feel like that his end could indeed come very soon. It also reminded me of how he died in the first animes series; the last words he shared were to his brother.

I agree with you. Unlike other mangas/animes the main characters aren't the definitive weapon against the villain. Even now that Father has been weakened, they aren't fighting him by themselves. It is more plausible than a hero that use an over 9000 just found technique to kill the bad guy in a single blow.
And yes the scene where Wrath is looking to the eclipse through the smashed ceiling will be really intense if they animate it well.

Frankly I think Ed has nicely been set up for his hero moment.
At first I felt almost dissapointed that all souls were returned. Not because they're alive, but it just seems a very quick turn around. After reading the scanlation I am happier as there must be a lot to cram in to the time left. I think it's interesting that they were aware of that time out of their body, as Winry describes it as pain and suffering. Let's everyone know what a small band is going through to save them, I think.
Also agree, if they animators get it right, this is going to look amazing in the anime. Hurray Goku...I mean Hoho.

*reborn from shadows*
At first, I was also disappointed with the quick solution given to the souls problem. Arakawa could have held her horses a bit longer, and let the tension build up. The heroes didn't even seem very disturbed with the happening, because they didn't have much time to think of it; but thinking again, they probably knew of HoHo's plan and simply obliged with it.
Now I only think that Arakawa wanted us to focus again on the main problem of all series, the reason why it exists after all: the recovery of Al and Ed's bodies. There are around 3 chapters ahead, and so Father should surprise us on the REAL epic battle, now that he seems weak; it was much too easy, didn't you think? HoHo has played his role well (and at last); now the protagonist has to shine.
I hope the people of Amestris have conscience of what happened to them; it'd make a lot easier to explain later =P
Now I'm really, really interested to know what's going to happen to Ling, though. He still has to meet the déneouement of his condition, and now that we have a MAJOR turn-up on the Xinguese characters node - the discovery of the extra PS by Lan Fan - something is certainly going to happen to Ling. I suppose that, with a new and harmless PS, he won't need Greed any longer, and they can end the homunculi for good; but something must be done with May. Questions, questions.
About Bradley, he's a big fat son of a dog. How come one attacks AND HURTS someone by using his MOUTH to hold a sword? Not the mention his pride (no, really, he should be Pride, like in the first anime - it just fits) on being what he is, despite all. And the moral bitchslap he gave Lan Fan (and us all who believed there was some humanity in him) was... pwned.
And I didn't like the umbra stuff. Nope. Arakawa didn't give us a clue of that was going to happen, like she always does. So, nope. =P

I knew it was coming for a long time, but I was still sad when Bradley died. That man really is one of the deadliest fighters in the entire series. His character is incredibly interesting in the FMA manga, and I'm glad his death was fitting. He passed away not dishonorably, but satisfied while saying he enjoyed his time spent with humans on Earth.

Yeah really. In some ways, I wish Bradley was the final boss. Father was far less interesting and never did anything really cool other than the whole "What if I birth humans?" thing.
