I went on a nostalgia trip over the weekend, and watched numerous promos, trailers, vids, etc that were on during when Toonami was still on the air, and it just brought me back to 2nd grade. I'd get home and immediately spend the afternoon watching DBZ, Gundam Wing, Blue Sub 6, and Outlaw Star. That was my first anime experience, regardless of the quality of the shows, I was mesmerized just by the anime alone.

All those memories and the few friends who I knew watched it...I miss those days so much...

I remember wanting to stay up for Midnight Run but I was yelled at if I tried (too young )

Even though [adult swim] airs anime every saturday night, it still isn't the same. Hell I remember when Moltar was on Toonami, then TOM soon therafter.

The anime (ANY show now) they show during the day on Cartoon Network and/or any of its associated affiliates is just garbage. They don't have the magic that the old anime had, at least in my opinion.

Maybe someday in the future it will be revived..

One of my favorite anime of all time Tenchi Muyo!, used to be played on Toonami. Those were the days...

I loved Toonami! Especially for Dragonball Z...Aaaaw, I'm feeling all nostalgic now. : )

I think Cartoon network's programming on the whole as went awfully downhill; nevertheless there are still a few good shows on that I love to sit and watch after a day of college. =P

I used to love Tenchi Muyo too, especially after they repeated the same DBZ episodes over and over. It was how I got my anime too before I hunted it down elsewhere, but strangely I never went after any of those I'd started on Toonami.

I watched Toonami for YuGiOh..... I loved that anime.... not so fond of the spin offs....

Tis a shame Toonami went the way it did.

i miss toonami.... i watched it for everything- gundam, dbz, rurouni kenshin, hamtaro(kinda doesnt fit with all the action but i still liked it), tenchi muyo, ect
