Hyperthia's PostSummary: Al and Winry are welcomed by Rosé and the people of Liore. Meanwhile, Darius, one of the chimeras who helped Ed after he had been injured, goes to a bank and makes a withdrawal from Ed's State Alchemist research account. However, the military is informed and they storm the clinic where Ed and the chimeras are, though the trio manages to escape from them. Hohenheim tells Al the truth about himself and his involvement with Father. While Olivier is shown the army of artificial humans created by the military, Bido is spotted by Greed. Bido realizes who he is and tries to make him remember his chimera friends, but Greed ends up killing him. Angered at seeing Greed kill one of his friends, Lin's conscience has a vicious clash with Greed's. Later that night, Greed storms King Bradley's mansion and confronts him in front of his wife and Selim. - Provided by

I caught the second half of it. xD
I thought that that part with Ling/Greed was brilliant. It looked like he was going mad. xD

-They cut out the Vintage Armor? Whyy?
-Is this new music? Or am I delusional at this point?
-I keep hearing "new" music
-Interesting way of including Bido with Armstrong and the General
-No chimeras, they are underground, right?
-Of course, they'd play this track, and I know this one's not new, because I heard it on Adult Swim earlier.
-Yup, old music.
-I love these doctors. They're funny. I don't think I saw them doing their "thing", though...
-He's back! What? No lines from Ed?
-Expected place to go to the commercials.
-Nice Ed eyecatch.
-Vintage Armor can be forgiven. They kept in Chimera Awesomeness.
-Boring Al and Hoho chat
-A confirmed new track from episode 40. I would have thought they'd play that last episode also.
-Woah, intense ending.
-Um, okay. They should have just ended there, IMO. Post-ED scene would have done better kicking off the next episode..
-They sure love toying around with music for the previews.
Good episode. Glad to see Ed and Greedling back.

- They left out the “My vintage armor!” joke. I wanted to see that.
- Greedling is back.
- Ed is back too. He looked good in that white coat. And he got a nice eyecatch too.
- The left out another scene: when they stole the car from the rich couple.
- Greed’s memories are coming back. The scene with him and Ling was done well.
- Keyhole broke, so I missed the end of the episode. But the preview looked nice.
- And did I hear new music during this ep? Well, the second soundtrack is coming out soon.
Looking forward to the next episode.

I missed it!?! All the dub brotherhood hype made me completely forget O.o
I'll have to search around for a RAW now...
Sounds like a great episode though

My initial thoughts:
- Why does Keyhole have to suck so badly?!?
- DAT RADIO
- Awww, father and son.
- A little fan service for Winry's fans
- All right, stop spending so much time with Winry and Rose... unless, of course, they're going to... oh look, Bido!
- Greed's back!
- I love this bit, where Edward shows up again. Too bad they're using this same music I've heard a billion times.
- Ed fangirls will go wild over unbraided, long-haired Edward.
- Nice car!
- Don't let that Xingese brat talk to you like that, Greed!
- Ah, ending where they ended was pretty cool.
A bit of an easy-going episode, but not bad.

Posting these in Michiyo's absence.
ScreenshotsEdit: My thoughts on the episode...
Well, I'm just looking at the screenshots now, and all I can think is, "Winry. Tub. Rubber duck. Heheheh...."
I am also very excited that Edward is back, and that he made a 'Full Recovery' I was starting to miss the shrimp.
I'm also glad they kept in Ed's "bada$$" car design! XD
Looking forward to seeing the raw tomorrow!

Well thus far only going by screenshots, but nice to see "direct from manga" shots in there...albeit Winry fanservice. However enough Ed fanservice too, love him with his hair in a pony tail.

I'm just getting so frustrated, this show should've had an hour timeslot so they wouldn't have to keep cutting out content.
I love that GreedLing is back, and we're going to get to see more fights with him and Wrath again.
I'm liking it.

What I can read from the screenshots, we get boobs! Even the eyecatch gives us boobs!
I felt Heinkel was very badass when pulling out his double set of guns and firing at the MP's in the manga, for some reason I got a totally noir feel from that. I guess his look, with the brown overcoat and glasses contributed to that, they make him look a little detective-ish. In the screenshots though, he looks a little off, and less cool =(
I guess it will be nice having Ed around again. And, finally som Greed. It's been a while.
Hope the subs are up by tomorrow morning, so I can watch it before I go to shcool.

You guess it will be nice having Ed around again? lol Why do you say that? He's the main image in your sig! Anyway, not seen this ep yet and judging by the screenshots it does look awesome. Can't wait for the Ed fan service! I always loved it when he wore his hair down or wore it in a ponytail.

Episode seems nice. Greedling scene looks excellently done and it does appear there's a few new music tracks in the ep, which is very welcome.
Sad to see no animated "Vintage armour" joke though. They've left out all my favourite jokes from the manga in this series (Ed/Ling height comparison, Ed yelling about how he'll mobilize an army to hunt down Mei, vintage armour).
I seriously hope no one who doesn't know about post credits scenes is missing key plot developments because of the fact they've used 2 important scenes after the credits in the last 2 eps!!

@Kyelinn - Well, I don't know, to be honest I haven't missed him that much ^^ Only reason he's in my sig is because I wanted some variation, I've been carrying Alphonse around for display for ages.
I do like Ed, I just haven't been jumping on my seat to see him back or anything. I would very well have survived another episode without him.

Indeed, it seemed to be a heart-warming laid-back episode... Until Ed came in with his blazing glory!!!

What is it with Ed, and punching through things and making it look awesome? First the gate now the wall... That whole part had some great action shots in it, and Heinkel and Darius have now joined the cast of beloved recurring characters. Loved the colours for Ed's car. Totally out there, and only cool if you're a seven year-old boy.
penguintruth was absolutely correct about the fangirls going wild about Ed's hair. <3 WHEEEE!!!

Okay, I'm done. And that eyecatch is going on a wall in my room.
LOL That bank's name was Bank's Bank. Very original.
As for the "laidback" parts, they were very sweet, like with Alphonse going to help with his dad, and Rose talking about Ed changed her life. Not to mention Winry (super-special-awesome-sexy-mostly-naked-scene?) but I really liked her reaction to Rose's story about Ed. If I were her, and I had a crush on him, that'd be my reaction too. (trying really hard not to look absolutely amazed and blush crazily)
Aww, man. They left out the "Don't take stuff out of your crotch," line from Hoehnheim too! I guess it'd be awkward ruining a deep scene like that with crotch humor. It was still funny watching Al do that though.
I don't blame Bido for freaking out with that immortal army. I'd probably have lost my lunch. And then Greedlin appears all handsome and mysterious-like... but there he goes and kills his former friend, and has a mental breakdown. What a guy.
Nice place to end it too.

Just finished it up.
LOVED IT.
But yeah, they left out my favorite crotch line.
That's alright though.
Greedling ftw. I love them so much. And I'm so pumped for next episodes fight.
And Alex vs. Olivier. It's sure to be giggles/epic win.

You all realize we hear about the "promised day" next episode?! Holy cow... Brotherhood is getting so far. Weren't we just getting to Briggs last week?
Edit:
I laught at the people that don't catch the AFTER the credits scenes. . . But it is pretty lame of bones to do that I think.. But at the same time, nice.

WOW...WOW. GREAT EPISODE!
-loved the comedic relief
-ED is BACK and funnier then ever!
-Hmmm I guess this is the point where Ed has changed a bit!
-GREEDLING!!!! How I missed u!
-Did anyone else find the Rose and Winry scene awkward???
-great ending! nice!
-Preview: PAPA ARMSTRONG!!!

-Ed's arm through the wall looked even creepier animated. (The walls are choking me, aieee~)
-Sad that they didn't have the manga humor scenes (stealing the car from the couple, Hohenheim asking Al not to take stuff out of his crotch), but also glad because the scenes would have been out of place.
-I noticed that the sub I saw was taking translations straight off of Hisshouburaiken's manga translation. Was the raw Japanese audio also taking lines word-for-word from the manga? (I bet some lines had to be the same, but how many?)

I quite enjoyed this episode

Especially the second part. Greed killing Bido actually generated some emotion from me. BONES, see what a little non OVERRUSED MUSIC THAT MAKES MY EARS BLEED can do for a scene!
I like that there is new music. Really do. I
think most tracks I didn't recognize were new at least, but it's possible that I've just forgotten about them. I believe we have at least two songs in here not previously used, though. Anyway, they all felt fresh.
I liked the reappearance of Edward, some pretty amusing scenes, and I found that car chase sequence to be pretty awesome.
I also enjoyed seeing Greedling again very much. The ending of the episode was very nice, but I think it would have done better without "that" track (you know which one I mean). Perhaps none at all would have been best for that particular scene.
Anywho, a really good episode

Now they're just using the scene after the credits as extra "next episode preview" time.

I still think just extending every episode by about five minutes, like filling a half hour
without commercials, would have been enough to adapt the same number of chapters per episode without leaving out any scenes. That's what the DVD extras should have been: Slightly longer episodes!

The only thing that would make it more awesome is if he yelled
"Fullmetal PUNCH!"

They took away my beloved jokes between Hohenheim and Al but the rest was kept, so I'm happy.
- all the conversations going between Al and Hohenheim were amazing, going without music and I love the effect silnce had in those scenes.
- Winry and Rose scene the same as in manga, as far as I remember (I try not to read the upcoming chapters to get surprised or not to know what exactly the characters are supposed to tell next second), but I wonder, Rose looks much younger this series. Winry blushing is quite cute...
- yes, I love angry!Ed, always have. I missed the short jokes.
- very relieved they kept chimera men have their moment, was afraid for a second they only have Ed beat the soldiers and then they go. Go, chimeras!
- loved eyecatches, even welcome Fullmetal Alchemist gay being annoying
- car chasing scenes without any complains, Edward Elric design will be SOMETHING when all's over, at least now we now what he's gonna do once he gets older.
- pee break! (seriously, Darious peeing at a tree made LOL)
- Bido... it's sad he had to die, would be nice if at least some one of the old Greed gang survived...
- Ling sounds like he's actually trying not sabotage Greed but to help him. Interesting.
- and Bradley being awesome with a promise of more to come (plus some Armstrong family bussiness, can't wait)

^ Armstrong family bizzznezzz is more like it
I'm so pumped for the lawls that will surely happen.
And the epic-ness of Ling and Wrath.
I loved the two new tracks.
I'm one of those rare fans i suppose that is fine with the over-use of the old tracks. But new songs are always very very welcome. And technically, one of them isn't new. Didn't we first hear it in 40 when Hoho fixed up Izumi?

A really great episode! The only complain I have is that they didn't include the Vintage Armor-joke
I really like how they managed to make these Chimaeras actual characters and not just some filler character that will be killed off in few episodes...I know it was also like this in the manga but for some reason I just care more this time

The ending with Ling and Bido was done brilliantly and they couldn't have ended the episode in a better place.

I am absolutely IN LOVE with the track that was playing during the "Next Time" segment. Is this one of the ones everyone is talking about? It better be!
You know, I was very iffy on the soundtrack to this new anime for a while, but I think I actually am beginning to like it a lot better than the soundtrack to the first anime (OP/ED themes and "Brothers" aside).
I also kind of think one of the reasons a lot of tracks feel overused is probably because they have the budget for 3 OSTs, just like the first anime, but here they have 12 more episodes they have to stretch it out over (63 as opposed to 51).
I am also absolutely in love with Ed's hair down.

That said, the ponytail is great too (it's not fair he gets to have better hair than most girls... no wonder he keeps it long... I'm sure he's secretly a vain little thing!). I love that they did justice to all of his great expressions from the hallway scene that were in the manga, both the silly ones and the hot "fired up/full throttle" shot. Why couldn't the earlier episodes be this near-dead-on to the manga, well-paced and well-animated? *sigh*

Yup, it's amazing how an underused track can make such an impact. There's also the one from episode 22 when Winry picks up the gun. I don't think I've ever heard that played a second time. On the other hand, "Mortal Sin" plays almost every episode and I was hearing it before it played during the post-ED scene.

I'm late...again...too much school T_T
Just my thoguhts during the episode:
*I loled at the akward silence.
*And, was that new music...? (seems like others have noticed too)
*"I'm a sucker for love~...A sucker for love~~" Really, bring the family-fluff! Alphonse is so cute!! gah. I'm kinda sad thought that they
changed lines from Al to Hoho ("are you/am I crazy"-part), cause they slowly take away small pieces of Al's badassery in Brotherhood...I also missd Hoho's comment
on when he met Trishia, he's so cute!
*Wow...I had really forgotten all about this, especially Ed's comeback! And did he come back, yes, very GRANDLY so! Man, he almost turned me into a squeaking pile of fangirl (and I like Al more). And, damn it, he looked just like Young!Hoho just before the eyecatcher.
*...Ed looks hot in this episode, but, geez, that car...it looked like something from Robot Wars.
*Damn, Ling, you made me cry. "Friends are connected by heart" It's to awesome to TAAAAKEEE!!!!!
*waves hand* Question!
When Eclipse's subtitles says "Donkey Kong", what does Ed call...Darius (?) in japanese?
