So is the next Naruto story going to skip 3 years ahead in the timeline and all the characters will be older?

Seems the anime might get caught up with the manga soon.

Many have assumed that..but I'm not so sure. I think there might be at least some chapters about their training somewhere before the 3rd year.

Since the anime is loyal to the manga, the fact that its catching up again can only mean one horrible thing.
We'd end up w/ more lame filler episodes (Tea country anyone?)....ick.



Questions for Part II
Hmmm, how evil should we expect Sasuke to be? We'll he be Orochimaru's most badass subordinate, or will Naruto once again bring the good out in people?

I'd go with the latter blueices. Remember what Neji said. Though I can only imagine the sick, twisted shit Orochimaru and Kabuto are going to teach Sasuke.

Remember when Sasuke was saying that he wasn't going to be a pawn for anyone. He MIGHT just have a secert plan, like wanting to kill Orochimaru ......... when the time comes. Then again Sasuke is pretty evil >_>.... I think Naruto should have won that battle. Maybe because I don't like Sasuke I'm being bias.

And I agree w/ you coffee, Considering the strength of Naruto's rasengan (exemplified by the hospital roof-top fight), one would have thought Sasuke could def. be beat..

I've been wondering that...But Orochimaru's pretty manipulative. I think Sasuke would have to be very brilliant to outwit Orochimaru.

Naruto would've beat Sasuke if he hadn't have gotten those pills from the sound guys.

Maybe Sasuke doesn't see himself as a pawn, but just sees Orochimaru as a means to his end. The end being able to finally kill Itachi.

I bet Sasuke is the one who kills Itachi.

I like the way you think Ryuu at this moment I hope Sasuke dies. @_@ I still can't believe he would actually kill Naruto for a skill, in the end he didn't but he was going too. Naruto VS Sasuke was so long not to mention they both kept on getting stronger I wish I could have watched the fight in the anime instead. Although I love manga , fight scences in the manga suck. I rather watch it with the music. *plays scary naruto music* Though the anime will eventually get there. Itachi can own Orochimaru he dosen't stand a chance. To think the leader of Itachi's "group" is even stronger than he is. Makes you wonder what's going on.

I don't think Orochimaru would have left Akatsuki if he felt that he was weaker than them though (he's smart enough to avoid suicide missions)

As for manga fights vs anime fights: I tend to agree that I like seeing everything animated (rather than playing orochimaru's theme and imagining it) But sometimes the manga presents certain aspect of the fight far better than the anime as well

Didn't Orochimaru say that Itachi was stronger than him and that's why he left. I remember him saying that... wasn't he talking to kabuto?

Really? I don't remember that, I'll reread the manga sometime and try to figure things out

I wish to see the sannin fight at their healthiest (that would be amazing) The last fight, each one had some issue or other that kept their full badassness at bay

I would like to see the 4th in battle. I'm still wondering what happened to Rin it seems she likes Kakashi but we will have to see it another time. I'm still waiting for the Naruto movie I got so excited when I heard it was coming out but it hasn't been made into a dvd yet. >_> It looks like Sakura actually DOES something.

4th Hokage fighting: I hated how after getting my hopes up during Kakashi's gaiden, they never showed the 4th terminate everyone by himself

I'm just happy we found out Yondaime's ninja code name. A new theory I heard was that Naruto is really just Yondaime reincarnated...so maybe they really aren't father and son after all but really each other.

The only flaw in this argument is that Naruto is really not like Yondaime at all other than appearance. Jiraiya has stated as much. But one could also argue that if Yondaime was reincarnated with a fox demon inside of him that is the cause of his dramatic change in behavior. I still like the idea that Yondaime is Naruto's father better.

And yes, Rin wants all of Kakashi's sex.

I considered the reincarnation thing for a little while...but it makes more sense that Naruto is the 4th's son (or some sort of relative)
But why would they keep such a thing from him and make him suffer the hate of the whole village (so cruel :cries:)

RAW CHAPTER 25 is out! Some spoilers

[spoiler]As I predicted, the time jump has taken place and it seems some time as passed. Naruto looks to now be about 15-16 and has gotten a lot taller and bigger. He and Jiraiya have returned to Konoha meeting up with Kakashi and Tsunade. Naruto is suprised to see that the image of Tsunade's mug has been carved onto the mountain next to the other former hokages.

Naruto has run into the older Sakura now, and it seems like my other prediction of the dirty Japanese animators getting perverted with her was right . She's wearing tiny short shorts of course. Sakura seems genuinely happy to see Naruto. I don't know any of what they said, so if anyone here knows Japanese and can translate, feel free.

Konohamaru! He shows up with his new perfected Sexy no jutsu, showing off for his mentor and leader! Oh wait, guess I was wrong about Sakura, because for some reason she waffles naruto with a right hook. What a bitch, she's not good enough for you Naruto-kun! The issue ends with Kakashi pulling out the old bells he used on Team 7 for their first test for him. Looks like Naruto and Sakura are going to have a little competition.

Yes , Shikamaru and Temari seem to be higher level then shikamaru/Ino but if they ever got married it would be so funny shikamaru and his lazy self.

Seriously though, I do hope that Naruto will prudently end within a reasonable amount of time (I don't want it to become bland like so many other titles have by overstaying their welcome) I think this Naruto: Part II sort of serves to jump start the enthusiasm for the title and perhaps transition to even more serious material (blue dances with glee at the thought)
