Full Version: What Is This Transmutation Circle?

So I've found this transmutation circle some years ago as an avatar, and totally love it so I've used it ever since.
[first circle on here, number one]
[100x100avatar]
and I was thinking of adding it to the fma flamel tattoo I already have, I only know it is shown at the ending of the ready steady go opening of the first FMA series, but I'd actually like to know what it means/what it is used for.
+ I'd also like to see a bigger version xD

so I was wondering if someone could help my out with this ^^ <333

EDIT: This is not the same one which is used to seal Homonculi with, It looks alike because of the star, and because the avatar has a flamel drawn on to it. but it's actually very different

I have a few guesses, at any rate:
- It's sort of five-pointed, which suggests something to do with the philosopher's stone;
- It's got the flamel, which suggests Dante.

My most likely guess, though, is that it's the one used for disabling homunculi. I seem to recall that the circle used to disable Greed had a flamel on it... Not sure though. I'd have to rewatch the episode.

thanks for your reply katya *W* <333

however, the flamel is not originally a part of the circle (see the other image)
and it's drawn on with blood in the 100x100 pic ^^

edit; LOL found the episode where ed and greed fight, It looks the same, since it has a star and all, but it is actually a different one ^^

Just letting everybody know that eventually, I'll be merging this thread to:
Transmutation Circles on FMA, All related information goes here, (except Tattoo discussions) thread. ^^

Meantime, everyone please feel free to add reply posts on this thread. smile.gif

BTW, my Web connection is way too slow and I'm having a hard time viewing the posted pics, but judging from the posts, one of them (either the one posted by dreaminglilly, or the one in that screen shot) is possibly the circle used by Dante to switch the bodies? unsure.gif
(Or not. XDD I'm just "wild guessing" since I can't view the pics at the moment. XD Please don't mind me. ^^
)
dreaminglilly
well both the pics I posted in my previous post are the same circle, and since it is used to seal/hold greed. I don't think it's Dante's body switch one ^^

Anyone else who knows?

^^

Edit Note: Please don't double post to revive a thread, thank-you.
