What I think about this episode:
-Oh noes! Goldtooth! He's giving me goosebumps.
-The panda extra. Was it in the manga or not? I don't think it was.
-They're still showing Al with the feather/decoration thing on his helmet ripped off. Usually mistakes like that are easy to make.
-Olivier looks more awesome every time. Her pretending sad or upset was so funny xD
-Oh no you ugly face, stop touching Ollie!
-From now on I gonna give grades to the episodes. This episode gehts the grade B. It had a nice battle but wasn't that epic...

-I want a new opening, this starts to annoy me already
penguintruth
My initial thoughts:

- And we jump back into action!
- I want to see a video edited so that Sloth is listening to elevator music on his way up
- Love Ed and Al's expressions when Olivier comes out of the elevator with the tank
- I love the winter version of Ed's coat. I wonder if there's a summer fashion with special short sleeves.
- Damn you, Dr. Goldtooth!
- Pay attention, kids. They're explaining how alchemy works. No dead irl folks from London here, folks!
- Wait a minute, where's the diagram of the earth's crust and how Amestrian alchemy works? COME ON, DON'T RIP US OFF! That's pretty important. Marcoh better have explained it in words, damn it.
- Aren't they going along a little quickly?
- TALKAN TIME.
- Mustang bubble! Pop!
- I thought they spent way too much time on this explanation in the manga. WE GET IT, THERE'S A BIG ALCHEMY ARRAY MADE FROM THE COUNTRY. SHUT UP ABOUT IT. They don't seem to spend near as much time here, at least.
- Damn it, Bones. Did you only pay Akira Senju to do one soundtrack?
- Oh hey, Isaac.
- Is it just me or do Olivier and Raven's character designs seem a little... off... in this scene?
- Annnnnd another weird place to end an episode. Bones, I am disappoint.
- I like the FMA game commercials. When are we going to get those Wii games in the US?
- UGA UGA

A good episode overall. Hey, Hohenheim is in the next episode!
Michiyo-
- Olivier’s entrance with the tank from the elevator was awesome.
- Sloth was finished quite quickly.
- I liked the Miles and Kimbley conversation.
- Raven and Dr. Goldtooth are here again.
- Shao May chewing on the transmuted panda was cute.
- Previews of the Ling and Ran Fan character songs! They sound nice.
- Roy bubble. XD One less rival in Olivier’s way.
- Isaac flashback. So he knew about the nation-wide transmutation circle.
- I didn’t like how they ended the episode. And still no new background music.
- Dr. Goldtooth got the See you next time eyecatch. I hate him.
- Nice Wii game trailer.
- Next episode is 'Family portrait' with Hohenheim.

Mr. Deathy
Great episode. Pacing was absolutely spot on perfect (well in terms of the manga. I get the feeling some anime-only people will have found the recent eps "slow" because the early eps were so ridiculously fast)

Some nice art and good animation too. End of the Sloth fight was much better than last ep, they managed to get his proportions right this time too (he looked strange last week to me). I love the colour schemes for the North, like the clear blue skies against icey mountains in the day and then the dark blizzards of the night.

They done a nice job of tying together all the previous scenes relating to the shape of the country part, even how they incorporated Isaac from episode 1 into them.

Very impressed all around with this ep, good stuff.

- Action!
- Huh, I always imagined Goldtooth with a white or gray mustache.
- In that eyecatch, Ed looks like he's trying to squeeze into the frame or something. xD
- Is it just me, or does Olivier's hair keep changing length?
- Ohai Isaac. Still have no idea how a guy like him would ever be able to figure out what Father was up to.

Mr. Deathy
^Goldtooth really should have grey or white hair, the guy is in AT LEAST his late 70's or early 80's, but he could be even older.

He had the browny hair in the Wrath flashback but that was like 40 years ago and he looked like he was middled aged then as it is.

I wish he had a name. He's a character of decent importance in the long run.

Good episode, two in a row now, let's hope it doesn't stay that way as we get to the material that I really really want to see adapted nicely.

More Olivier in tank scenes, I like her supreme suverenity. I'm also fascinated by her hair, in a good way. When all of them stand by the railing and their hair is flying in the wind...
Ed waking up in prison is priceless!
First Olivier reaction on Mustang being mentioned.
I love how Falman just skips into memory mode when he tells dates of big fights.
All manga hate is forgotten, Dr. Goldtooth has an enchanting smile, really. All shiny. He's kind of sweet.
Raven & Kimblee tag team works, got used to Kimblee's voice by now.
Raven touched Olivier! Good heavens! Olivier acting sweet!

Can't wait for subs and another episode.

----

Dr. Goldtooth has philosopher's stone AND he's at least decent alchemist. He can grow whatever he wants on his head (doesn't have to be hair) or he can dye it. Vanity reasons, insanity reasons or just because.... laugh.gif

EveningAlchemist
Olivier is still kickin' butt - this time with a tank! And lol at how she popped the "Bubble of Mustang" tongue.gif

The moment where they realize Father's whole plan with Amestris was cool, but new music would always be appreciated, you know? Still dramatic though, and the lighting in the tunnel was eerie in a way too. Also the scene when the gang was listening in on Olivier and Raven's conversation was kinda cool, in an unexpected way. General Raven was very creepy and then, BAM! It's over... D: At least we get cliff-hangers now (but I'm just glad I knew the whole plot in the first place). Oh, and Dr. Goldie was creepy and dramatic too. Makes him stand out, and he should since he plays an important role... later. laugh.gif

Ed and Al eyecatches were much awesome too. I love Ed in his "Santa" coat.
Deadbeat007
I'm loving Olivier more and more, mostly due to her VA's work. For some odd reason, I didn't find the Briggs arc all that exciting in the manga, but the Briggs characters seem to be more endearing in the anime somehow, which is making me enjoy it more. ^ And I agree, the lighting in the tunnel was really nice.
Forsaken Love
oooo i LOVED this epsiode, why couldnt all the brohood eps have this kinda pacing ¬_¬ anyway really loved it, is just me or has the animation suddenly much better? Everyone looks as they should do, Ed's hair is the right length and thickness pretty much and we have conistancccccy *touch wood* pacing is great, great episode, and its morning and I'm cold and seeing Sloth freeze really made me feel shivery XD only little complaint is new music please T_T but part from that reaaaally good

Raven didn't look quite like I remembered him, but I thought Edward looked even stranger at times. Like his head would be too big, or his nose would be pointed way upward.
IceSkadi
It was a good episode indeed.

- I like Sloth and Miles' voices especially Sloth's. It's the typical voice of a slow giant just like an Ent tongue.gif
- They did a nice work with the alchemy conversation...
- ... and a nicer one with the one between Raven and Olivier! I like the scene with Raven in profile that is staring at her.
- I've always imagined Dr. Goldtooth with a grey/white moustaches but probably I will get used to this brownish tone.

The only thing that doesn't convince me is Kimbley :\ I don't know why but he seems quite different to the manga version sometimes.
zonkiethegreat
I thought this was a great episode! I thought the ending was fine. I mean hey, they gotta slow it down!!! The manga still hasn't ended!!!!

Great ep overall. LOVE OLIVIAAAA WOO!!!
Broken Chouchou
Good episode.

BUT WHERE IS THE BADLY NEEDED NEW MUSIC??

Ahem. Missed that they left out Buccaneer calling Falman an idiot when he fires at Sloth (which they know has no effect). In the manga, it feels like he 'proves' himself to really be badass useful (despite the missed train to success xD), when you see that he was actually firing at the icicles. It was his time to shine, dammit! tongue.gif

Yeah it's a shame they missed that. I understand why as it's not really important but I liked how Ed gets his rank wrong again before he and Al run forward and kick Sloth.
Billea_the_Turtle
My thoughts:

-Olivier looked so awesome when she and her tank came out of the elevator.
-Liked the music during the Sloth fight, but could get some new music please? Like nows?
-Ed waking up in the cell was funny.
-You should've just killed Kimblee right then and there, Miles.
-Oh noes! It's Dr. Goldteeth!
-Wtf happened to Izumi?
-Lots of talkin
-More talkin
-Mustang bubble! Was laughing so hard when Olivier popped it. laugh.gif
-Shao May's reaction to the panda statue made my day.
-Hi Isaac!
-Oh. My. God. Olivier acting sweet? That's definitely a sign of the apocalypse.
-You're going to regret touching Olivier, Raven.

Another really great episode. My only complaint is that there's no new music.

Or a sign that she's a great actress.
penguintruth
Of course Olivier is a great actress. She's Kim Basinger. (Look at the resemblence!)

Another great episode. I only wish they had left in the diagram of the people on the Earth's surface whith the arrows underground and the volcano erupting when Marcoh explains how Amestrian alchemy works. That would have been neat animated.
