@amestris_star - In this month's case, that's absolutely correct.
In some month, the cover page from the GnGan web page comes first, and other times some actual chapter page comes first. We had both cases. ^^

Yeah, except that's only one of many ways this could be interpreted.
"Saki" could be indicating something on the time-line, then in that case this can be "After the blazing fire" if saki is pointing out what comes next, or if saki is indicating what came before, then this can be "Before the blazing fire"
Or, assuming "saki" is used in "spacial" meaning, saki could be "in front of," or "saki" could be "at the tip of," or "saki" may be indicating far way ahead (long distance) and NOT right in front, etc, etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc..........
(And, even for "rekka," "blazing fire" is just one translation for "rekka.")
Hence, it is NOT correct saying the title "should be" that way.
That's why I'm not putting out mine till I read the raw.


I thought I already posted and told that it's not a good idea to come up with the translation of this chapter's title at this point with just that posted page... albeit I did not explain in this much details.

I hope Ed wins. I mean, after all these chapters of him doing nothing, I'd hate for him to job to Roy like everyone else does. Clearly Roy is supposed to be more skilled, but I'd like Ed to outsmart him or something. This still is "Fullmetal Alchemist", right?

Or Alphonse could show up at this time and help Ed. The Elric brothers versus Roy!

I still don't think there will be an Ed VS Roy fight. It's not about fighting Roy it's about saving Roy. And honestly I trust that Roy will see reason without it having to resort to a full fledged fight.

I don't understand the translation either but as a positive sign there is also the word calm there too.

I'm very intrugued by the spoiler. I debate with my friend whether Riza will be unable to calm Roy, even crying and begging and will commit suicide from some reason?

@Art - I agree about the portionality of the art, but the thing is, she's a pretty busy woman, right? She's publishing FMA, Hero Tales, making offical manga art, and lots of other things especially because of the new anime. She recently just did the art of the japanese version of a hit-list book. So, while it may not be the best sometimes, I think we should all appreciate the art, because I bet it could be a lot worse if she did all those things and not work hard on FMA (which I bet she is killing herself over, LAWL).

@Spoilers - Um. 1) the translation I got was extremely messed up, but I got "[Edo] crying suicide". Uh, yeah. That leads me into 2) How reliable are these? Ed being suicidal is NOT Arakawa or Ed at all.

Plugged in the spoilers into Google Translate - yeah, that didn't go over so well...

Ah well, I'll just wait for some proper info...

Kasumisty, uh, no, I hope not. Well, when I read this with Babel Fish the suicide thing was more likely about Ed, not Roy-Riza, but calming, dying, killing was about Roy-Riza, well at least I understood it like this, not really sure xP

Yeah, I just went to double check the "source" post at MangaHelper, and post doesn't give out where the poster got that info. It only says "confirmed spoiler."
However, this does sound like some Japanese entry. And, since guys on this thread don't seems to care for the integrity of the info that much, and if I don't translate it someone here will probably put it through some on-line translator and post some hideous so-called translation, so I'm going to go ahead and post my translation so that at least the translation part will be correct.

WARNING: UNCONFIRMED, but kind of sounds "likely" summary of all or part of the chapter. Since I do have some confidence in the original poster of this entry on MangaHelper, I will translate and put out as "possible" summary, but please do not ever repost this without the attached warning.

Ed and all try to convince Colonel Mustang, who is in the crazed state, to calm down.
Riza tells Mustang that "if you're not going to stop and destroy yourself by turning yourself as a devil who's consumed by the revenge I will stop it by killing you and then kill myself."
And that finally calms down the Colonel.
Envy watches that and he feels uncontrollable "envy/jealous" towards their humanness.
Then Ed sees through Envy's such "envy." Having been found out his true mind, Envy cries out and commits suicide.

Please don't insult us Japanese translators.

@ Tombow: A friend of mine that follows MH told me that Dofla should be a reliable source for info, however at this point in time I'm still a bit sceptical... Japanese are currently waking up XD So we might be getting more info soon.

I'm hunting on 2ch right now, to see if I can get anything. Ah, goddamn, its so hard to wait.

And I'll be sure to post any source 2ch finds it from if I find it.

Thanks so much for the translation Tombow. Now I don't know if these spoilers are accurate but these (unlike an Ed/Roy fight) actually sound what I expect from Arakawa.

Especially the part with Envy being envious of their human-ness. I feel I am going to love Ed, Roy, Riza and Scar even more by the time this chapter is over.

Still, I`m loling at the translation I got in Babelfish. Half of it`s gibberish, the other half sounds like a bad goth song.

Wow... just wow. I don't know what to say. I must admit, I've thought there will be something different.

After reading Tombow's short translation...doesn't the end to Envy seem kinda - anticlimactic?

I really doubt Riza would do such a drastic thing.


Edit: Envy offing himself because of jealousy makes a sort of sense, him being "Envy", but after all he's done, it does seem a little bit of a letdown. I guess it just goes to show how pathetic the emotion of envy can be, how petty.

No personally I love it. Think about it Envy loves seeing humans suffer (not just physically but mentally) so seeing the real love and strength that humans have that Envy could never have would probably drive Envy ballistic. To me that is perfect.

The first part of the spoiler sound very much like what Arakawa would do. The possible 'Royai' of it and the way it is presented seem very much like her.

I agree about the anti-climatic 'suicide' piece. However, wouldn't that entire thing only take up about a third or half of the chapter?

Come to think of it, the only thing that makes me wary is the fact that this whole thing was building up with Mustang and then just plummets down with whatever Riza says. Maybe that vague 'try to calm him down' is that pre-climax and then what Riza says is the climax, but I dunno.
