I try to wait patiently for the next chapter of FMA, but it doesn't always work.

I wasn't so confused at what was happening....it was more 'How did she know?' and 'what did she really say?', as well as the bubble where she says 'Just kidding/No, I lied', because in one translation she said 'That's right.'

@DistantBlue - You're welcome. ^^ And, as to how Riza knew, so far, my understanding is that on previous page Roy clearly insisted Riza to stay back and let Roy go alone. Hence, on page 34, bottom right panel, when Roy did not order Riza to go back and stay away, but instead told Riza to basically "come with me," that was the clear signal for Riza that this wasn't Roy, because that's not what Roy would have said/done there. That's my understanding of how she knew.

From my point of view, I don't think she knew.

Hawkeye probably just thought that there was a good possibility that Envy would try to trap her this way, so she tested him just to be sure to know with whom she was dealing with. If it was Roy, he would have clearly not react the way Envy did!

@Gimpyhair - Gahaha, yeah with Arakaw-sensei, anything is possible. ^^ If that is the case, Riza is such a devil!!

@Tombow: My thoughts exactly. That's the part where most probably Riza confirmed that it wasn't Roy who was talking to her, I mean, a few instances before, Roy is asking her to stay back and him handle everything, and a few moments after, he's asking her to follow him. I would have doubted immediately if I were her, as in, Roy's no man of contradictions, so that must have been a giveaway to Riza. Even considering that they both were fully aware of Envy's capabilities.

I have to admit that Riza has a very very high IQ, not to mention about EQ. At first, I thought that she's going to follow Mustang to protect him. Instead, she was searching for Envy and tried to kill him before Mustang found Envy. When I read the scene where Riza stumbled across Envy, I thought that Envy transformed into Riza instead of Mustang. I never thought that it was the opposite.

Anyway, if I was in Riza's shoes and stumbled across Mustang. I would have foolishly followed him and wouldn't notice that it was Envy.

That keen awareness might be part her own personality, but also from being battle-tested & trained during the Ishval War and afterward. And, I think her ability to be calm under the stress and her quick thinking have been demonstrated before also, like when she visited Bradley's home and encountered shadowy hands, she was terrified inside, yet calmly (at least outwardly) carried the conversation while Pride's creepy hand was slicing her cheek, if I'm recalling correctly. ^^

As for finding out how she knew FOR SURE (I think Tombow and Amestris Star have it here, though I like Gimpyhair's suggestion, too) Next chapter will be busy taking care of Roy and/or other characters, so I don't think it'll be brought up then, but if Riza, Roy, and the others are conversing on their way to Father Dude they could ask something like, 'Did he shape shift on you?' and perhaps then she'll mention what happened.

@RoyxRizaFan: hmm... I don't think Arakawa sensei will give much details on that one, next chapter. She likes to leave out some room for us to freely think about it. Then again, I'm not having too much hope that Mustang and co. will appear on next chapter. Still, I wish I will see them again on chapter 95.

I didn't say next chapter, but if it WERE to be brought up, I'm assuming it'd be like this, seeing as there's no other way it'd really happen. I'm really hoping Roy will be in the next chapter, but you never know with Arakawa. That's what's amazing and terrible about her at the same time (though mostly amazing LOL)

@RoyxRizaFan: Sorry. Misread that because I was lightningly scanning on all the posts. You guys have posted so often and so quickly.

Ok, guys, I think we made enough "countdown" posts and "cow attack" posts on this thread that were without discussing the actual chapter contents. I think it's better to stop these now.

I'm curious about the role of Brosh in the following chapters. He probably won't do something major, but I'm really excited to see the reunion scene with Maria Ross (make it shippy or not, I like the friendship). After this, he will probably join force with her and the rest of the radio-crew, but I don't know what he could bring to the group.

Also, I remember a member saying, a couple of pages ago, that maybe Pride will absorbe Envy. I really love this idea, Pride gaining more powers, instead of Ed just squishing Envy and having worm-juice all over his hands. I also love the idea of Riza facing Pride again, just to see if she is still scared of him.

I like that idea very much. It would be very interesting to see what Pride has in mind for his siblings...

And I've been dying to have a Hawkeye/Pride reunion. I am just as curious to see if she is still frightened of him. In fact, one idea I had was that Ed, Scar, Mustang, and Hawkeye were all fighting over Envy and then out of nowhere....Pride, Wrath, or both of them come. I have a feeling that if they did, they'd strike down Hawkeye, as she is not a candidate for sacrifice and both of them have made it clear they don't really give a damn about what happens to her.

^ Well now, that scares the sh*take mushrooms out of me. Although, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want Hawkeye to meet up with Pride. Such a reunion happening would make me lean insanely forward in my chair and my breathing would suddenly become very shallow. Hell, even imagining it now makes me freak out. And I'm dead serious about that too. -shivers- But if that were the case, I would hope for a nice little fight between Riza/Roy and co.

If Pride ever does confront Riza (which now that I think about it is more likely than we want to think), he would probably go, like Rambo on her. Remember when he's all "don't tell anybody about this little confrontation thingymabober" ? It's pretty apparent by now that Pride should know that Mustang and co. know about him being Pride, etc. etc. So of course, somebody's gotta be to blame right?

I think that might make some form of Royai thing crop up. I mean, after the Pride-Riza confrontation, Roy was there fore her immediately (the florist phone call refers in this case). So, if he (Pride) crops up and scares the living daylights outta her again, Roy will be by her side again.
Darn, you're making me want this to happen, lol!

On the other hand, since Selim revealed himself as being Pride to Ed and Co, I don't think he will make "a big scene" to Hawkeye for that matter. But, he will probably make a mention of this, without going rampage to her, just to scared her. I also don't think that Pride will want to kill Hawkeye: if he kills her, how does he expect to control Roy, she is the most important person in his life.

Anyway, I just want to see a Pride-Riza reunion!

I agree about the Pride-Riza reunion. If she was in danger Roy will snap out of his angry revenge mode.

Small update from 2ch: Some form of early spoilers might crop up by tomorrow afternoon/evening or Saturday, most likely.

The Pride/Riza reunion sounds very interesting, something big like that could make Roy to react and get out of that revenge mode.

I was complaining about there being no closure to the Pride/Riza situation in the RoyAi thread without realizing it was being discussed over here...silly me!

I like the thought of Pride showing up...we saw him last with Al, but then Al escaped and he had Kimblee for lunch. I think Pride might get them to go to Father Dude's place before attacking them or anything, especially Riza b/c killing her now won't do any good until they're in Father Dude's lair. I admit to wanting him to show up again, because I feel like Arakawa raised a storyline and dropped it. I'm having faith that she'll bring it all back in the end, though, because she never forgets anything!

I wonder if Pride's been watching this all alone and was thinking, "maybe Envy will be able to handle it" (LAWLS) and then realized he couldn't and had to stop following Al&Co to save Envy/have him as an afternoon snack.

I think Pride could scare the crap out of anyone, even enough so to get Roy to snap out of his rage.

When was Pride threatening Riza? It was a while ago right? I believe that he will come in and scare or hurt her. Hopefully not kill. Because Arakawa does not drop storylines. Sometimes I think she has forgotten something, but she hasn't. Now I really need chapter 95. Spoilers or the preview page hopefully tomorrow huh?

I know, I reread my last post on here and I realized I need to make some edits in my post considering my grammar is horrible. I blame my keyboard and realized how much royai could be thrown in there. I would sit there and stare at the pages all day if there were any royai moments...

And if Riza did die, I would chunck my keyboard and my moniter and have a mad cursing fit. Then I'd saying "This is a dream! No f_cking way they killed her off!" But yes, from the Homunculi's POV it would be smart to kill her off. (Arakawa, please don't!) That would surely send Roy to the deep side.
