hmm.. I viewed ep1-12, so:

For start, I viewed some random episodes of the first series, and I think Ed 's VA have improved from the first series.

Hawkeye
- I know she is Rukia's VA in Bleach, and I was hoping she'll sound more like that...
at first I thoght she's to girly.
I was thinking she's too girlish, until ep4, in which she sounds REALLY like Rukia (like in the scene she asks Ichigo to stand back), when she kicks Roy down, and in ep 10 which I think is an improvement for her.

Roy
Although I originally imagined Roy have a lighter voice, I got used to the former seiyuu ie e Toru Okawa . At first I thought Toru Okawa sounded too deep as Roy, and then i got used to, and I got a bit of pissed off again when they announce a new VA, but still, the new VA is one of the VA I like in Bleach (along with Rukia, etc.)
I think he sounds all right, and I am getting used to his voice being Roy.
There's a previous comment about Urahara. I don't really think about Urahara and Roy being the same VA, they sounds different to me. Urahara got a really carefree voice (except when he's serious,) but he does well in latter episodes, especially ep 10. I am looking forward to his speech to move his subordinates to central.

Al & Winry
For Al, I think he sounds great, and Winry - she pulls off mostly, except I think her voice is a bit too high for me, for a few scenes.

I am interested in Olivia Armstrong's VA, and the scene where Mei ling and Lan Fan fight. I wonder how they'll sound like.

@forsaken love - I agree Greed and Ling should have similar voice - at least spoke in the same manner. I would like to see there's a contrast in Ling's voice before and after Greed entered into his body.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they changed the voice actor for Selim Bradley, seeing as he'll have a much larger role in this series than in the last. They even got the voice of Renton Thurston from Eureka Seven.

I suppose we'll be hearing it soon, with the appearance Selim has when Fuhrer King Bradley returns home from Father's lair.

I thought they will release ran fan ,mei's seiyuu but i forgot selim will make an appearance this ep maybe.
i am not that familiar with her role in eureka seven.i hope she can cover the depth as selim .any sound links which i can hear how her voice sounds like?

I haven't finish watching episode 14 yet, where we hear Father's voice first time, but i think father's voiceis voiced by whoever who voice honeiheim.btw he's voiced by Iemasa Kayumi. anyway i did not recognize that he's the one who voice the previews.

Oh... So Hoho and Daddy-o will have the same VA? Logically it makes sense of course, seeing as [spoiler for those who haven't reached chapter 74 (?) yet, even though you should have been able to figure this out on your own] Daddy-o's body is a replica of Hohenheims. Just hope this Iemasa guy is good a performer enough to make the voices differ; however much you'd think that this voice doesn't suit Father, if he would be to use that exact same voice for Hohenheim, it'd be a disaster. He better make him sound different, and a lot less old-ish. But yet, despite all that I just said, you should still be able to hear just a tiny hint of resemblance...



Good to hear he isn't just a curious old guy they hired due to budget issues. I do suppose I'll get used to his voice eventually, it's not like you can complain on a bad performance or anything. I just didn't feel that creepiness I so much associate with Father.

But this could mean, if Hohenheim's voice turns out to sound exactly like Father's, that my creepy theory about Father Creep being the one creep-narrating the events of the brother's lives is most likely wrong. It'd be more family freindly, with the absence of all the scary creepiness that is Father, to have the brother's genuine dad be the narrator.

Hohenheim (in the first series) = Masashi Ebara (Professor Go in Giant Robo, Might Guy in Naruto)
Father = Iemasa Kayumi (Chief Chujo in Giant Robo, The Puppet Master in Ghost in the Shell)

Not the same voice, unless they plan to give Hohenheim to Kayumi, too.

Perhaps I misinterpreted, but (from what thunderbreak said) I understood it like Hohenheim, in the 2:nd series, is voiced by Iemasa Kayumi, and that he would also be the one voicing Father.

I know that information isn't something to rely on though, since we haven't actually heard Hohenheim's voice yet. But I do recall seeing an official list of all the VA's for this series somewhere, so I thought he might have gotten that info from a similiar, official source.

Unless, as said, I might just have misinterpreted thunderbreak's comment completely, if he did, in fact, mean the exact opposite: that Hoho will be voiced by Father's VA.

Whoa, Mamoru Miyano as Ling. He's pretty much the only Japanese VA I can recognize by name besides Romi Paku. Not really much of an anime fan, lmao.

^ ditto i think exactly the same, Ling's VA did Tamaki from ouran aswell didn't he? Tamaki is one of my all time fav manga characters XD i love him and a lot of his personality i think fits very nicely into Ling so I'm really happy, an AWESOME choice of VA +he's prooven how flexible he is with Light (ironically my most hated anime/character ever XD although i have nothing against the performance of the actor i just hate the character XD) so im excited to see if he'll pull a bit of that back for Greed

Sounds like, from that clip, it's definitely the VA who voiced Greed. So I'm guessing they will do a voice switch between Greed and Ling's actors to signal who's "in charge." Nice find!

They got Daisuke Namikawa to voice young hohoenheim who famous for voicing Bleach's Ulquiorra, Fullmetal Panic's Leonard Testarossa, Gundam 00 Micheal Trinity(another gundam 00 cast joins the FMAB list lol), Tsubasa Chronicles's Fay and Black Lagoon's Rock.

I am gonna type one single complaint about episode 54.

Father's voice acting for the end was pure and utter garbage again. That actor has the potential to ruin the conclusion of the show, he does NOT fit the role, not even remotely. The voice is so f*!@ing wrong it's irritating.

Maybe we will see a change of voice actors when the time comes? I really hope so, because, as you, I don't think his voice is very fitting at all.

Father is actually one character where the dub has the potential to easily outclass this show. If they can just get him a voice in the dub that sounds even halfway decent it'll make the character feel far better in animated form than he does in Brotherhood.

There hasn't been one single scene with Father in Brotherhood that I think has felt anything like the character from the manga.

Sad but true. I can't believe Bones made such an obvious miscast. I mean it's even a particularly unknown seiyu with not that many roles, so I really can't see why they did it. If not for him (and to a lesser extent, Riza imho), the cast would be damn near perfect.

And the voice will probably sound even less fitting when Father takes on his dark Truth-like form.

I hope they go back to Little one in the flask's voice when that happens. It would sound even more sinister.

That's strange, I liked the way he sounded a little better in that scene.

Minami Takayama was the only one billed as Envy in the credits, so I assume it's still her doing foetus!Envy's voice.

They definitely will do that.

The huge problem is going to arise when Father is in his young body. There's absolutely no way they can keep using that voice for him then, yet pitch shifting him like Homunculus wouldn't really work or make sense.

The very thought of the older Father voice coming out of young Father makes me feel physically ill.

They used different voice actors for young and old Hohenheim so why not for Father? Genetically, they are the same so they should get the same tratment. Have I already said how much I love Envy's voice actress? She's best fit for the job, you can't get anyone more delightfully evil sounding than her.

Maybe it's just my memory by the way but didn't Father have a totally different voice in one episode? I vaguely remember him having a different voice in Hohenheim's nightmares in the filler episode (27?). I also remember it being much better.

EDIT: Yeah I just checked. I think it was just Hohenheim's va though and probably only because Father hadn't been officially revealed to NOT be Hohenheim until the following episode, but I wish they'd just went with that. It sounds so much better. Check near the end of Episode 27 again if you can to see what I mean. It works perfectly.

I'm sure Father copied Hohenheims vocal cord structure while he was at it. So why DON'T they sound the same?

It seems the only reason is that someone thought "Oh, wouldn't it be cool if the narrator is actually Father?" and they stuck with it.

It should definitely have been Hohenheim's va doing both. It would even kind of make sense if he was doing "Homunculus" too since he was created from Hohenheim's DNA as it is.

I think that Envy got the best VA possible for his part.

I'm glad that Envy's VA has done such a truly great job. Perfect.
