After seeing the screenshots, I'm a little surprised that the OP shows Gluttony in his true form. People might think it's just another homunculus, instead of him, but still. It's a spoiler. lol

Agreed, if only because the openings so far have actually contained scenes that were relevant to the plot. Though ironically the worst offender of the original openings for having stuff in it that never happened was probably Undo looking back. Ed and Al fighting giant serpants? Scar leading the Ishbalans across the desert like some kind of angry moses? Ed and Al fighting Greed and the Chimera in a ruined town? Not that it wasn't cool but it was all a bit odd.

That's what strikes me about this opening the most, everything that happens in the opening is relevent in one way or another. Though to be fair, this probably comes out of the fact they've got alot more material this time around.

Whoa, that opening was one giant bit of manga fanservice on a stick. XD

My favorite part was in the very beginning, with Ed and Al in black and white, and how it goes into Al's blood seal and Ed's automail and stuff.
I like how the opening sort of characterized Mustang's staff, too...with the hot dog sticking out of Breda's mouth, lmao. XD;

In the new Op I wanted more Winry but...on the good side the Xingese fight against Bradley was awesome.

I've noticed that for some reason the Brotherhood's opening are incredibly windy.

Aren't ALL anime openings incredibly windy? If not I blame the fact FullMetal Alchemist is set in some weird approximation of Europe. Just be thankful Amestris isn't more like Britain otherwise it'd be windy and peeing it down with rain. Which would just look ridiculous.

XD yeah, I noticed this too. It's extremely windy in Amestris.

But heck, I'm a sucker when it comes to windy scenes, so.. yeah. I can say I LOVED this opening. lovelovelove.

The song didn't actually hit me at first, but yeah.. I'm getting used to it. But I love how Ed reaches his hand towards the sky in the beginning. Bones seriously knows how to do nice, artistic openings.

..and having a small comeback scene from first FMA's 'rewrite' opening was a nice touch, too!

Hmmm I personally didnt like the part where he lifts his hand up. It's a little lame, but when you think about it; automail; reaching the sun, all that kind of stuff that's addressed in the series, it kind of makes sense.


And wind makes everything epic. If you have a scene that needs to be big, add wind, and it's done.

Also, amazing fight scenes. The ones animated in the openings are often the best ones. Also loving the song, but I did like Again better. However scenes in this one are well done, better than OP 1.

I loved the new opening. I liked the fight scenes the best. Especially Ling, Ranfan, and Fuu fighting Wrath. With the latest manga chapter I am really starting to like Wrath and his sword skills.

I want the full version of Hologram to appear online.

I don't like it. At all.

The song was meh. Although it took a few episodes for the previous opening to grown on me, to be fair.

And the footage was just...I dunno. Not at all interesting. The previous one looked really good, and almost all of it had some fairly deep meaning within the story.

I liked the first opening better. The current one isn't bad... its just not that great. Should have another one coming up shortly if I'm not mistaken... when did they switch over to the new opening ep. 12... 13?

They switched to the current one at episode 15, but a new one should be coming soon since they already announced the group that's singing it.

It took me a while to get used to the different OP, but I think it's lovely nonetheless. I prefer the first one, though that's probably a bit biased on my part since I love Yui's voice. As for the animation, I think the second one looked slightly nicer, but otherwise they're both great.

The openings so far have wowed me! I got Again stuck in my head and kept singing it out loud even... People keep asking on Youtube "Who's the dude at the beginning? Is that an older sexy Ed?" I guess they'll find out eventually... Riza's little lip synch now gives me shivers every time I hear it, just because the lyris of that part (and the whole song) are so haunting and fit very well.

The second one didn't cause any fire-works in my brain, but WOW the animation! The battles are very awesome looking if I must say so myself. The song gets in my head after a while too.

Now for the third... song's okay for now, but the visuals to go with it will bring it to light

First couple of seconds I was all W.T.F. FMA goes funky house weirdess...??

But as it turns out, I actually kinda like it. Or, at least some parts of it. It's different from the typical songs used in specifically FMA-openings, as well as in anime openings in general. But when it spaces out at the middle, and when the guy tries to sing in english... well, lets not mention that any further. But the "refrain" or whatever, is allright I guess (EXCEPT for the "clap your hands" part. Ugh.)

But I think it can work out fine. Hope they'll pick a good song for the Ending

*cringes slightly* i guess its ok, and it will work if they cut the right part for the opening, but to me it doesnt seem to have the right sound for fma at this point, the series is getting darker not happier XD so far nothing has suppased the pure epicness of 'again' buuuuuut nah this songs not that bad actually the more i listen to it, I wish they wouldnt sing english lyrics though, its kinda annoying when the pronociation is so off, mmm hopefully the animation will redeem it

First impressions after watching laggy KeyHoleTV. Maybe is just about getting used to it, but i like it less than 2nd op . Foreshadowing was somewhat ok, didnt reveal anything i was worried about.
Weak points:
-curious invented scenes like Al fighting Envy in true form, which cant remember to even happen on the manga.
-Repeating some scenes.
-Last seconds of the op look anti-climatic for me, at least they didnt fit the music, might be the lag tough...
-Xingeses and Winry got almost no scenes.

Good things:
+Good for Ishval flashbacks, Roy, Riza ,Hughes!!! It seems thats gonna be one of the main events (say BONES gonna spend most of their budget in this?)
+Kimbley looks evilly AWESOME.
+Olivier and Brigs Army is so EPIC.

By the way, its really the darkest OP so far, at least that fits the thing that are coming.

I'm loving this new opening, though not as much as 'again'. I don't know why this one just doesn't seem as epic (tho tbf, alot of what I loved about again was that it wa showing characters I'd only seen in the Manga) but that doesn't mean it's not as good.

- The shot of the Homunculus is very nice if not a spoiler-tastic...

- Okay this struck me as odd, from what we know about the upcoming episode titles, the Ishbal flashback is going to be one episode, so why does it feature so blummin' heavily in the opening? Thismakes me wonder if flashbacks will be peppered around a bit more and that one episode wont contain all the material. I'm thinking specifically of Kimblee.

- Speaking of whom, Kimblee is the real star of this opening, looking his evil best.

- Oh sorry did I say Kimblee was the star? Sorry I meant Olivier, Buccaneer and Miles are the stars here, so awesome!

- More foreshadowing...

- I love that they try to make it look like Ed's being dragged back into the gate's of truth until you look at it carefully and think 'are those TEETH?'

- All in all not a bad opening, tho I am noticing that this opening seems to be favouring a very small part of the Manga, which makes me wonder how long it'll be in place for...

- One last thought

Am I the only one who sees what looks like Pride attacking Al in the opening? This really confuses me as this doesn't happen until after the small time-skip, which I figured would be the place for it to move to a new opening...

Goooooood stuff! It's so much better than the second and it's nearly as good as Again. So many Ishbal!! Woohoo! Too bad they didn't foreshadowing Riza's back or Hawkeye-sensei. Oh well, I don't mind that much!

Animation was well done too, I especially liked the parts with Ishbal and Briggs.

Spoilers again, stuff like Pride attacking Al and the guys in the tunnel, and Greedling.

Overall I like it, but it's still not as good as Again.

EDIT: Oh, and something else weird. Why was Ed trying to fight his way out of Envy's mouth? At first I thought it was the gate with the little black hands, but there was teeth and the soul-people. o_O

I just realised, Winry isn't in the opening, at all! That's the first time in the FMA history, no?

Even if I don't really like the song (though it appears that the lyrics are quite nice and fitting), I really love this OP for one reason.

i changed my mind about the song, tis pretty catchy i like it, again is still my fav by far but this is still a really good opening,

Actually after watching a few times I dont think it is Al fighting Pride anymore, those things he's dodging look a bit different from Pride, I think maybe it's supposed to represent him being dragged back to his soul, hence the white arms grabbing him... that would also make sense as it is the main thing that Al's concerned with from this point on

Also I think those teeth are supposed to be Envy and that it's Ed being swallowed by Envy. You can see bits of green either side of the mouth.

This opening won me over with the massive amounts of Kimbley in it. *_* -shot-

Volume 15 was my absolute favourite part of the series, so I'm rather happy they focused on the war a lot in this opening. I love how they did it, too; from Kimbley looking downright sadistic to Roy looking horrified and then appearing within the flames. <3

As for the Briggs characters, whoa. They never really grew on me in the manga, but I think I'm really going to love them this time around. I don't think the still frames of a manga really did them justice; in animation they are so amazingly badass- thus far. That's the impression I got from their bit.

And oh the foreshadowing~ Especially that bit in the beginning with the group of homunculi. I squeed. Another thing I liked was the one shot of Ed floating and human!Al in the background. It was short, but it stuck out to me a lot.

All in all, I am very much in love with this. I definitely love it more than the last one, and I'm still debating on whether or not I liked Again better. This is really making me wonder how amazing the fourth opening will be~ <3

oh yeh the part with ed floating with human!al in the background was <3 it was my favourite image from the opening xD I've no clue why but it really stuck out, when i first saw it i assumed that both images were ed though XD and then on my 2nd watch i was like ehhhh ed's lookin very anorexic there must be al XD

My favorite OP is probably Again, but I'm having trouble choosing between this one and Hologram for my second favorite...
