No license announcement yet. At the last comic-con, Funimation said they were in talks for licensing the anime.

I heard that they may be able to license it BEFORE it airs.
If that's the case... *sigh*

According to a Funi rep that I talked to, USA is looking at Christmas at the earliest for a DVD release.

Wow, just wow. The Christmas season seems suprisingly early for the release of the first DVDs- Funimation is really jumping one this. If that is the intended plan, arenīt they going to have to start auditions for voice actors and actresses quite soon?

They (Funi folks at comicon or whatever it was) say they're getting most of the old cast back apart from Aaron for obvious DEEP reasons. It'll be a while before any new characters come in so they have plenty of time.
For those worried about Funi licensing FMA, don't be.
We all know they'll do it as soon as they can but that's not going to stop fansubbers. Soul Eater it still getting subbed, albeit slowly. You may want to learn to use torrents though...

^As for when, maybe licensed around summer. They said once it's licensed, DVDs will hit shelves 9 months after. So spring of 2010 probably(release date wise).

It won't be for a while. Maybe some time around next year. Maybe the year after next. It takes a while to dub an Anime, and it hasn't even aired in Japan yet, so come down.

I can not imagine people having the patience to wait for the dubbed version! =p
Guess that could take pretty long, but I hope for the fans of dubbed anime it will be airing soon!
But I'm just reeeeaaally glad I love subbed versions =p

Well I dont if this is the right place to post. but I read somewhere (Which I forgot Where), that FUNimation will post Full Episodes of English Subbed FMA: Brotherhood on thier website on 4/9/09. That can also Prove that they'll license it??

That practice pretty much stopped. The only anime I've seen doing it in recent years in Ouran.
Also, no offence, but nobody cares where you are from.
