Battler Blade Alchemist
This begins a week after episode 51 of the anime, with Ed on the other side of the gate and Al going off to train with Izumi.

Rules:

1. No one liners, double posting, or extreme violence.
2. Please no meteors, curious lightning, or curious events of that sort that wouldn't logically happen in fma with out reason.
3. If you can preform circle-less alchemy, you need to have seen the gate. Don't pull a Fletcher Tringum

It would be very helpful if you could introduce your (Main) character your gonna use.

Name (What would we call you with out one? R-A-N-D-O-M girl A?)
Age (Try to be realistic here. Most teenagers are not state alchemist nor are most of them auto mail experts.)
Title (Are you a state Alchemist? A non state alchemist? An automail fitter?)
Type of Alchemy (If applicable)
Equipment (if applicable)
Physical appearance (What you look like. No duh)
Personality and History (How you act and where you came from.)
Weird Traits (Good or Bad. NO ONE is perfect. Ed hates being called short, Major Armstrong talks about his muscles and his family too much, Winry is obsessed with automail, Mustang wants to become fuher (sp?) and make all female officers wear tiny miniskirts, Hughes used to show off his daughter too much, ect.)

Here is my character:

Name: John Morrill
Age: 21
Title: The Battler Blade Alchemist
Type of Alchemy: Generally uses metals, but sometimes uses air/fire power but rarely plants. Has not seen the gate.
Equipment: 2 sword hilts. The handle on each one is about 7 inches long and ends in a transmutation circle about 6 inches in diameter. Uses these for alchemy placing the transmutation circle part onto whatever material is available, and transmutes that into a blade for whatever the situation demands (a gun, a hammer, a giant fan). If these are destroyed, he also wears gloves with transmutation circles on them to perform generic alchemy.
Physical Appearance: About 6 foot in height with short dirty-blonde hair. Has a slightly over average build (But nowhere near the sculptedness of A.L.A.). Blue eyes.
History & Personality: Has a good hearty laugh, and likes to joke around when not fighting for his life. As preteen, he found he has a great skill for alchemy, and started learning out of books for many years. He grew up on the outskirts of Threshwall, a moderatly sized town in North-East Amestris, where there was plenty of raw material to play around with. When the state heard the stories of the boy in Threshwall who was infamous for starting alchemy fights (and winning almost every single one), they came to him at age 17 and offered him training with the best in Central and to one day become a state alchemist. He accepted, and for 4 long years, trained and trained, until the alchemic exam last month which accepted him and 2 others into the army. Now he is regularly seen in the State alchemist Duel Arena.
Weird traits: VERY good fighter, makes up for the lack of speed and reflexes in the strength of his attacks. Avoids fights with women if at all possible. Incorporates Alchemy into his everyday life JUST a tiny bit too much...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story starter...

Central.

It was almost nine in Central, with a few people still out and about. No-one thought that after finding out that King Bradley was an imposter, that anyone with devious plans in mind would still be about. They were wrong. In the military district, a mysterious figure was walking down the warehouse lane. No one could see him, as it was so dark. "Stupid tech crews," Thought the figure who was walking down the lane. "They still haven't fixed these darn lights." Annoyances aside, the figure spotted his target: The alley between Warehouses 12 and 11. There, he would meet a person he hadn't seen in years. The question was, was he ready to? Before he could answer that himself, another mysterious figure walked out of the alley between 11 and 12. "So you came, Shadow Liquid. I was sure you wouldn't have the guts to come and see your old friend." Said the figure, talking in a calm and collected voice. "We're far from friends Iron Fist. You know what I came here for. Give it to me." Said the figure known as the Shadow Liquid Alchemist. The Iron Fist Alchemist took out of his pocket... a necklace. "First you give me what I came here for. That is 'Equivalent Exchange', even if it is in question thanks to the Elrics." Said the Iron Fist Alchemist, ending the last sentence with a note of disgust and anger. Shadow Liquid then lowered his hand to his coat pocket, and took out a bottle of glowing red liquid. "Now give me wife's necklace."

And now, someone else needs to reply if this board is gonna go anywhere...

Name: Herb Kingfisher

Age: 33

Title: Formally Second Lieutenant

Equipment: nothing yet

Physical appearance : Long unkempt hair, and sporting a beard and very dirty rags that some might consider clothes.

Personality and History: Herb was involved in the war in Ishval, and due to reasons that may or may not be revealed he deserted the army. Herb has been on the run since then, drifting from town to town living basically as a bum, he's finally come back to central due to all the chaos, he figures he won't be noticed and much less be cared about by the current regime. he left behind a wife and two twin boys, he seeks to be reunited with his family.

Weird Traits: Herb is very paranoid to the point of lunacy, he also suffers from post traumatic stress disorder

Herb had wandered into central late last night, not having any money or really much stamina left from his long journey on foot, collapsed in some dark alley where he thought no one would mind him. He awoke to two men nearly standing on top of him, having a conversation about old friends and something about shadows in liquid, suddenly herb caught a glimpse of him the IRON FIST ALCHEMIST!, He was fully awake now and his eyes were practically popping out of his head in fright. He jumped up screaming " OH GOD NO! " bumping into the other man as he ran causing the bottle he held to come crashing out of his hand onto the street.

Sorry this is the first time I've tried anything like this excuse the grammar as well.

Suddenly, he heard a loud scream. He jumped up and ran to the edge of the building. Below, a man was running in terror from two men. Jack jumped down to the shadows, not noticed by either. Suddenly, he heard the man say Equivilent Exchange. Great Scot! The man closest to him was the Iron Fist alchemist. From the stories he'd heard, this alchemist was quite a fighter.
"A perfect opportunity," He thought.
"IRON FIST ALCHEMIST!" Jack shouted, "YOU ARE MINE!"
He pulled out his sword and charged.

The sudden scream snapped her out of her thoughts and caused her to jump about a foot in the air.
'What the...? Where did that come from?' Frowning, she slipped into the shadows and bolted towards the sound. The sight that met her eyes made her freeze. Two men were clashing arms, engaged in a heated combat.
'Woah...these guys are fast. They're good....really good.'
The excitment rooted her to her hiding spot and she feverishly prayed that the two wouldn't spot her until after the fiht was over. Grinning, she remained in the shadows and wtahced as the fight continued, escalating in intensity with each passing second.
ApatheticSloth
Name: Dr Isaak Sawyer
Age: 36
Title: State Alchemist
Type of Alchemy: Poison
Equipment: None usually. But mostly a gun in some occasions.
Physical appearance: Spiky-ish dark violet hair, with dark rimmed glasses and plum coloured eyes. 5'6 feet tall, with a slim build. Usually wearing a lab coat and sometimes gloves complete with a black turtleneck and black dress pants.
Personality and History: Being a good friend of Shou Tucker he was saddened at the news of the 'death' of his friend. He was in the Military due to a shortage during the Massacre before he met Shou and interested him in the alchemy and Military. During the Massacre he had helped several other scientists create chimeras fusing animals and humans together. He had even witnessed Marcoh's desertion but said nothing. He is currently studying the many failures of human transmutation and why they failed and also seeing if animal transmutation is possible. He's calm in almost any situation and does not fear threats. He is extremely intelligent and studious. He goes and studies anything that he can to see if he can utilize it for any type of use. More often violent use for war than anything else.
Weird Traits: And for some weird reason he really likes having lunch breaks and always looks forward to it.

The light shone through a window of nearby medium sized house. Isaak slowly stretched and yawned as looked at his project. "Finally. It is complete. Although merely a prototype, it should be able to work as well as I predicted. But... who should I test this on?" He asked himself as he looked at a mere plum coloured bullet that he held in his hand. "It also has to be non fatal so I can collect every bit of data I can." He loaded the round into his gun and put it into the holster. "There should be a wandering homeless person somewhere in this town..."
ashiro
The blinding light caught her attention and dragged it away from the fight.
'What the hell was that?'
A frown danced over her features as she debated whether or not to stop watching the fight and investigate. Finally the curiosty won over and she slipped silently away towards the house.
ApatheticSloth
Isaak decided to go outside and search for someone, preferrably homeless so he could test his new weapon. He opened the door after, putting on his shoes and coat and walked outside. He locked his door and decided to wander the streets hoping to find what he needed. "Now... for an alibi..."
ashiro
She hadn't expected a man to walk out of the house. A sharp breath rushed through her lungs as she dover for cover in the shadows, just in time. The man walked past without paying any attention and it wasn't until his footsteps died down did she let out a sigh of relief.
'Who the hell was that?'
ApatheticSloth
Isaak looked around and stopped at a nearby cafe. He was hungry and all that wandering left him a bit hungry and tired. He wiped his glasses and decided to look at a menu for something. "Hm... what should I have? This looks good..."
ashiro
'That was close.'
Peeking out of the corner, she noticed that he had walked into a samll cafe and frowned when she realised that it was her godmother's cafe.
'Crap.' With a sigh, she slipped out from behind the corner went around the cafe to the back and quickly slipped inside.
"Sorry I'm late, Auntie. I'll get straight to work." She called as she swiftly went into the employees bathroom to change.
A few minutes later, she emerged dressed in a black and white waitress' uniform. Wasting no time, she quickly speed to the front and walked over to the man, pad in hand.
"Excuse me sir, are you ready to order?" She smiled, pen poised over paper, getting ready to write.
ApatheticSloth
Isaak looked up at the waitress and smiled. "Yes. I'll have the special please and some coffee." His stomach growled abit as he was hungry from doing all those experiments.

((Drats. Short post... Sorry.))
ashiro
"Of course, sir. I'll get it for you right away. Would that be all for today?" She grinned, jotting down the order and reaching over to take the menu from him, all the while resisting the urge to quench her curiosty and ask this man who he was.

((Shoot...that was really short))
ApatheticSloth
"Yes, that will be all." Isaak nodded as he decided to pass the time by doing some thinking. Hmm... I wonder... why does human transmutation fail? It's forbidden alchemy and alchemy is all about understanding, deconstructing and reconstructing matter. In most cases of human transmutation, there is no deconstructing or reconstructing of anything. But perhaps I'm looking at this at a narrow view.
ashiro
Frowning, she nodded and quickly hurried away to get his order ready. It didn't take her long to cook the special and get his coffee ready. Hurriedly she put it on a tray and moved to carry it off, only to be called by her godmother. Blinking slightly, she set the tray down and hurried over to where the woman stood. Little did she know, another figure hovered briefly over the tray, long enough to slip a drop of fluid into the dark beverage and quickly moved off when she turned and started walking back.
Thinking that ervything was normal, she expertly perched the tray on one hand and strode over to the table.
"One special and a coffee." She grinned, setting the food down in front of the man. "Enjoy your meal, sir." Flashing another smile, she moved off to help another customer.
ApatheticSloth
"Why thank you." Isaak grinned at her and decided to eat some of the special first. It was delicious and he smiled at the taste. "Mmm." He was about to drink some coffee with he accidentally gripped the sides of the cup. "Ouch!" He blew his fingers as he looked at the coffee. "Guess I'll wait abit before drinking some of it." He looked at some of the sugar that was in a bowl. "Perhaps I'll add a few teaspoons of sugar..."
ashiro
The unknown figure galred at the man as if willing him to drink from the setaming cup before him. The wide grin stretched onto his face as he watched the man accidently burn his hands.
'Drink from the cup, damn it.'
"Uh..sir? Are you ready to order, yet?" A female's voice sounded somewhere to his left, causing him to whip his head towards her. A smrik lit his face as she fliched at the sight of his eyes.
"I'm fine." He snapped, before tunring his attention back on the other man who was calmly eating his food.
"Um..." She bgena again.
"Can't you leave me alone?" He thundering, losing his temper and sent her flying with a punch. She landed right beside his victim-to-be's table.
..... He had lost his temper. Frownling darkly, he quickly rose from his table and stormed out of the buliding as the silence stretched and the girl struggled to her feet.
ApatheticSloth
Isaak had watched the whole thing from the moment the mysterious stranger yelled at the waitress. Of course he had moved his eyes as to not alert him. As the waitress crashed beside his table, he got up to help the her and as he did so, accidentally spilled the coffee. "Are you okay?"
ashiro
The girl winced slightly as she accepted the hand he had offered to help her up.
"Yes, sir. I'm fine. Thank you. Oh, your coffee, sir. I'll clean up this mess and I'll get you another cup." She frwoned at the dripping liquid and moved to clean the table up, only to grit her teeth and press a hand to her stomach.
'Damn that hurts.'
"I'll be right back, sir. Sorry about what just happened."
With that she hurried away to find the necessary items she would need to clean the mess up, leaving the man staring after her.
ApatheticSloth
"It seems I have to keep an eye out for that man near me at all times." Isaak frowned as he envisioned the suspicious man. "Hm... but what would he want with me?" He sat back down and started to ponder all of the possibilities.
ashiro
Scowling, she cleaned up the mess wincing again as the sting in her stomach. She had heard the question the man had whispered to himself and chose to say nothing as she hurried away to get him another coffee. It didn’t take her long to prepare the drink and not long after that, she was walking back tray in hand, balancing the small white cup. “Sir, your coffee.” She grinned, setting the steaming cup before him.
ApatheticSloth
Isaak looked up at the grinning waitress and simply said, "Thanks." Paranoia was starting to kick in and he was immediately suspicious of the waitress but decided to take a sip anyways. "I need to start working on an antidote... and start studying..." he whispered to himself trailing off. ... healing alchemy.
ashiro
She hesitated, unsure whether or not to tell him. Finally, the need to speak won over and she stepped closer to him.
"Umm..sir, I believe I might know what that man put into your coffee." she whispered, eyes darting around the cafe, mindful of any passbyers.
ApatheticSloth
Isaak snapped out of it when he heard her voice. "You do, do you?" He looked at her and intertwined his hands and rested his head upon them. "Then tell me what it was." He was curious on how a waitress could possibly know what mysterious substance that man put in his drink. Although it did seem painfully obvious as to what it was he had to make sure.
ashiro
She didn’t answer him.
“This isn’t the best place to talk about this matter, sir. Meet me at the back of the café at 9:00p.m tonight. All I’m going to say is, it’s a type of poison.”
With that she quickly walked off as another customer called her name.
ApatheticSloth
Isaak simply nodded and left after paying. As he was walking, he looked around making sure that man was nowhere near him and mumbled, "9:00 at night at the back of an alley seems suspicious but I'll trust her if it means the key to saving my life." He was soon approaching his home but realized something. If that man tries another attempt, I can use my secret weapon against him...
ashiro
Night fell faster than she expected and it didn't take her much time to change out of her uniform and slip into the alleyway. Uneasily, she stood waiting, blending perfectly into the shadows due her black tanktop and leather jeans. Silently, she stood in the shadows and waited, wrapped in her own thoughts.
That man would attack again and she would have to find some way of finding out who that person was. For now, she would focus on the task at hand and find out all the necessary information later.
'Maybe this man can come with me...'
ApatheticSloth
A voice rang out in the alleyway. "Talking outloud, alone in an alley isn't exactly the safest way to be around at night." It was Isaak and he was dressed in a trenchcoat. He had a gun with him for protective purposes only. "Now you have some information for me correct?" He inquired, adjusting his glasses.
ashiro
"Indeed I did. But, If I tell you here, it can still run the risk of someone overhearing us and I'm sure you wouldn't want that now would you?" She grinned as the shadows quivered and sprang towards them, completely engulfing them. "This seems a lot better. Relax, I'm not going to hurt you." she muttered as she saw the man's hand reaching for his gun. "Now, as for the information, I hope you're know your posions well, the liquid that was placed into your coffee was liquid cyanide. If you would have drank that coffee, you would have been dead. I'm still not quite sure who the man was, but I'm working on it and so far....nothing has been coming up. Anyways, I suggest you watch yourself, he might attack again, if you have any troubles...you can contact me, if you'd like. I'll be here, on occasions, but I'm usually over at the military base." With that the shadows retreated and the twlighlit sky shone overhead once more.
"Goodnight, sir." She nodded, giving him a quick salute and melted into the shadows.
ApatheticSloth
Isaak frowned a bit as he walked out of the alleyway making sure he wasn't to be seen. To be literal, liquid cyanide would have been his poison had he drank the coffee. Of course when he had gotten home earlier that day, he had been looking into the antidotes of the poisons he had made and of the poisons there were. Just maybe, he could make a general antidote that could cure any he had made. Although such breakthroughs would be miraculous right now.
ashiro
The shadows shifted once more and a figure sprang to life. With a tired sigh, she stepped out of the shadows and onto lively nightlife. It seemed to her like it was a good idea to find a few of her acquantiences. Perhaps they had heard of some rumors that might be of some use to her.
'I still haven't gotten that guy's name.' she frowned as she entered a club by the name of Dragon's Lair.
ApatheticSloth
As he got home, Isaak looked around the house to make sure no one was around other than himself. He locked the door and shut the windows, closing the shades. He sighed as he sat down at a table, starting to study the effects of poisons and seeing if there was anything he could do to stop them. Namely, he was researching antidotes.

The music blared through the air as she downed yet another drink. It wasn't everyday that she got to come down here and relax. That man in the alleyway, she should keep a closer eye on him. He seemed to be the useful type. A small chuckle slipped from her throat as she lifted her hand for the bartender to refill her glass, failing to notice the cloaked figure who was staring her down from across the room.

McCoy Entered the bar with his Flask in hand. He usealy hated going to bars, but today he ran out of Whiskey, and needed more.

He also needed to get out more but he'd never admit it to himself.

Anyway, slowly he waddled into the bar where he saw this mysterious 'man in the alleyway'

"Excuse me. Can you move?" he asked
ashiro
The figure glanced back at the man but remained silent as it shuffled out of the way.
Meanwhile, Alice was still seated at the bar, drink in hand, deep in thought. She had only just become aware of the eyes that weighted heavily on her back and she resisted the urge to turn around. It wasn't until someone appeared beside her, did she glance up.
ApatheticSloth
A few hours passed and Isaak decided to take a break. He sighed to himself as he went to bed to rest his mind. A lot had happened today and he just needed to escape even if for a small fragment of time.
ashiro
Sigh escaped her lips as she rose to her feet. It was getting late, she should probably get back home. As she turned, someone grabbed her hand and tugged her towards a firm chest. A growl ripped from her throat as she struggled to get away.
“I don’t know who you are, but let me go!” She hissed completely unaware that the door of the club had opened and the man she had talked to earlier strode through the door. It wasn’t until she heard his voice did the person release her.

McCoy then pulled out a revolver and shoot a round through the man's Elbow. "Come on now, I'm a Doctor not street fighter. Why dose everyone need to pick fights with people when I'm around?" he asked
ashiro
The shoot rang through the air, effectively catchng her attention and she glanced up at the male who stood at the other end of the room.
'Who the hell is he?' she frowned, caught the bartender's eye and quickly made her way over.
"Is there a problem here, boys?" She drawled, arms crossed over her chest as she glared at the two men.
DNA
"I hope not." McCoy said. "Care to grab Tall dark and Hansom over there for me please. I'll have to fix that in a bit."
ashiro
"Well, sir. I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle him. After all, I'm just a girl." She grinned stepped in front of the man. Turning her attention on the cloaked figure, she couldn't help but smirk.
"What do you say we take this outside, hm?" She inquired, motioning to the door. The eyes glinted crazily behind the hood as the man walked out the door. A shiver ran up her spine before she too, turned and followed him out.
ApatheticSloth
Isaak had woken up from a dream and stretched as he looked outside into the night. "I really should try to go back to sleep..." He rubbed his eyes and sighed as he climb into bed. "All this worry is getting me tired..."
ashiro
They had neared that man Issac’s house. Frankly she didn’t even know what was going on, the moment the two of them entered the alley, he had attacked her and had been attacking her ever since. ‘What the hell is up with this guy?’ Suddenly, something was chucked at her and an earth-shattering boom echoed throughout the street and rattled the houses as she was thrown backwards through a door and into house and rolled to a stop in the kitchen. Little did she know this was Issac’s house.
ApatheticSloth
Isaac heard the crash and got himself ready in the event that it was the man again. "Who's there?!" He frowned a bit as he put on his glasses and looked at the person.
