^ You're welcome. ^^

From FMA series-2 official JP site Story page (quick translation by me)

Episode 3: Town with a Heretical Religion
(This is just a temporary episode title till the airing of official English sub. ^^)

"Ed and Al heard the rumor about the town with a heretical religion with the founder who is said to perform "miracle," and travel to the town of Reole to investigate. They learn that Cornello, founder of the heretical religion Leto, peforms alchemy that does not follow "Equivalent Exchange." In the town, they meet a girl, Rose, and she takes them to meet Cornello at his temple...."

I quickly skimmed the pics... it's a Guidebook for the FMA anime series-2?!!
(duh, come to think of it, off course... tongue.gif )
Anyway, it has interviews with Romi-san, Pak-san, character introductions for FMA series-2, and other stuff, and it looks good!! biggrin.gif
Kale Mustang
Will be keeping an eye out for it once it hits the stands. Looks good and I'll probably be using the folder for docs and stuff.

Attention All:

Hey guys? Next time when you guys "copy" stuff from another forum, upload it to your own photobucket account, okay? Alchemist94 already got the problem of too many people direct linking to his photobucket account and used up his monthly bandwidth.

Besides, this isn't really an official guidebook... it's nothing more than a section dedicated to talk about FMA from a magazine called Animage. It's just summary stuff, and sometimes it's wrong, so take it with a grain of salt.

Also, this is what it says on the bottom of the page: 轉載請注明:钢之中文推广执行会-gosaihk

Which translates to "If you want to repost this, please state that it comes from 钢之中文推广执行会 (Hagaren BBS)-gosaihk"
gosaihk is the guy who you guys should thank instead of paca (no offence, paca), because he took photos of this expensive magazine he bought (which costed him about $12 USD) and uploaded them.

It's internet manners. State where you took things from, and don't direct-link. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT. I think this actually should go to the forum rules - give credits when appropriate, and add a link to the source.

You'd have better luck going to Japanese bookstores and buy the May 2009 edition of Animage if you want the folder. It's NOT an official guide book (not even close) so it's not coming to the US in English edition. (Unless there is English version of Animage... I don't know if there is one, but usually the content is different. Animage is something similar to Newtype, which I know does have English edition but content usually different.)
Havanese
Thank you for the info, AA battery. To be honest, I knew that it was good manners to credit, but I never knew that you weren't supposed to direct link.
Tombow
@AA battery - I totally agree on all points...about not hot-linking, giving proper credit, and so on. (I'm trying to save these on my computer and upload now...)
And, thank you gosaihk!! Really appreciated!! ^^

@Havanese - Yap. AA battery is correct. Hot linking is EVIL!!! The proper manner is, always, save it to your computer first, then upload it to your own on-line album, or some other on-line hosting site, then post that link.

My apologies for not being clearer, but that's what I meant - Japanese newsstands. I have regular access to both Kinokuniyas in San Francisco & San Jose (I usually go about once a week to both) so I'll likely pick the guidebook & folder once it hits.
Tombow
Ok, it takes forever for my computer to save and upload, and I have to go shortly.

Anyone who can save these pics to your own computer, then upload to your Photobucket album or other alternate site and provide us with the alternate links for these pics (in effect, like making mirrors) then please do so and post the links. (Then I will delete the links on the first post) Thank you!!

I see. (It's a magazine, not a guidebook! Only what the anime staff and manga company release can be considered as "Guidebooks".)

Newtype and Animedia also have a lot of FMA stuff on their May issue. It's gonna cost you a lot if you buy all three of them o_o (I believe they are all gonna have small gifts like the FMA folder Animage is giving out.)

=================================

@Havanese: The reason why hotlinking is horrible (unless the poster stated otherwise, or if it is links such as Megaupload and Sendspace which require active downloads to keep the links alive) is because by hotlinking, you are adding pressure to the owner's website's bandwidth. There is a bandwidth limit for a lot of online albums. Photobucket's is 25GB monthly... seeing how Alchemist94's photobucket got killed like that, you can tell that a LOT of people hotlinked his account.

Some people actually PAY for their bandwidths (ie, owning a website), so hotlinking from those sites are especially bad because you are stealing their bandwidth like that. It's more than just proper manner to not hotlink; it's to make sure you don't add load to the original poster's bandwidth.

@paca: When you are back, can you edit your topic into "FMA info in Animage May 2009 edition" instead? This is afterall, not a guidebook, so I think it would be more appropriate to rename the topic. And you can add my links to your post if you want. I don't mind.
Tombow
Thank you, AA battery!! Love you!! happy.gif

Also, I take the blame for calling it a guidebook, and therefore, I went ahead and edited Paca's post and the thread title. ^^

No worries and yeah, I typed 'guidebook' accidentally instead of magazine (I know they're magazines) but as far as it costing me for the books, not too worried about it - I usually only buy the magazines that I want so I'm pretty picky to begin with tongue.gif.

Oh my Gosh! Thank you gosaihk from Hagrenbbs, paca and AAbattery!

I've been so eager to see what was inside Animage as it mentioned 21 pages of hagaren stuff happy.gif.

I really want to read the section with Paku-san and Rie-chan >w<. Man, they look so pretty =D.

I'll probably buy Animage too at Kinokuniya but then there is Newtype and Gangan as well XD. (They really jack up the price...>_<.)

@fullmoon & SonPan: @_@ Read. It was gosaihk who provided the photos this time. Nothing to do with Alchemist94 (but of course we all appreciate that he provided scans for FMA manga for the past few months). I thought I made it very clear in my previous post... and I didn't really do anything, so no need to give me credit for clarifying internet norms.

You know how scans for Newtype and Animage were posted up? Is it possible for it to be translated? (For Animage i really want to read the chat between Arakawa-senseri and Paku-san + Rie-chan and Paku-san interview.)

If it's hard to translate the Animage pictures, i can try to scan it...as i bought Animage today from Kino (+ Gangan, hehe...it came with this cute tiny Al keychain XD (from the ads) It's on my wallet now.). I didn't have enough to buy Newtype...T-T.

* "Radio FMA" is an on-line radio program with Romi Pak (voice cast of Edward Elric) and Rie Kugimiya (voice cast of Alphonse Elric)

* To listen to the program, click on the arrow on the Radio FMA site.

(As posted by fullmoon, you will hear some advertisement first, but eventually you will hear the radio program. Please note that the program is in Japanese!! ^^)

* There will be a new program content on every other Monday.
* The first program is now on!! (Starting April 20, 2009)
* To send fan mail, send to hagaren@onsen.ag
* The program is sponsored by Aniplex
* The site has the messages from Romi Pak and Rie Kugimiya saying "please look forward to many more of fun contents!! blah blah" ^^

*Some of the program contents include:
"Let's give your friend/family/work place superior a State Alchemist nick name!!"
"Q & A for Romi Pak, Rie Kugimiys, and other guests on the program"
"Fun real life alchemy reports from fans"
"Fun real life philosopher's stone (something that will create results beyond the equivalent exchange) reports from fans"

* And, the bottom part on the site is where you can send your fan mail:

(Although, I have no idea whether they will take any mail in English. XDD If you can write your mail in Japanese, you can try sending some fan mails, I guess. ^^)
