Nope. The chronology tells us that Tricha died "about ten years" before the start of the serie (that takes place in 1915). The teaser tells us she died 11 years before. Not so much difference. Arakawa just didn't want to be precise. It has the potential to hinder the development of her story.

Overally, I love this teaser, not as much as second or third, but is excellent in any ways. Al has blond, traced hair and golden eyes(maybe it isn't visible too much, but look at the scene with transmutation circle) like Ed. I even like thicker linearts when characters are zoomed. Graphics are kinda soft but definite at the same time. And I think the last scene with Isaac, the one from third teaser with Ed clapping hands with slow motion and from the second one which shows Ed's automail; will be in first episode.

@fma_milan_freak - Why making a big deal out of minor stuff?... well, I think, if you read FMA manga... yes, the original writing by Arakawa-sensei, then you might notice that sometimes small things she put in the background turned out to be clues for what's coming in the later part of the story. And therefore, we, as in some fans of FMA manga, are keen to cue into these background details sometimes.

Yes, these mag books are getting shipped to the bookstores and being readied to go on sale as we speak, I think. (Official release date for this month's GanGan is March 12 in Japan, but hopefully we might be able to see some sneak peaks on or before then. ^^)

OMG I'm so excited for the new FMA!! I've never read the manga and although I want to, I'm a little hesitant to if this new anime is going to be based more on the manga. But surely I'll end up reading the manga anyway.

Yes, as Kasumisty has posted, the caption on the trailer says the song is "Uso" by Sid, and in case anyone is wondering what the announcer is saying, he is simply saying:

"Fulmetal Alchemist, airing starts on Sunday, April 5, 5:00 PM."

Starts airing on April 5th, you say? That's my brother's birthday and Palm Sunday this year! I hope FMA doesn't get lost in the shuffle! (Oh well, I probably won't see it until later, anyway.)

Now that I got used to Al's brown hair from the previous series (I KNOW that it's golden from manga illustrations and so on), it will take a while to get used to the golden hair... 8D;

I am getting so incredibly anxious; this teaser trailer really heightened my anticipation for this series! I must say that I really love the new animation style, because it has a much softer and more of a water-colour feel to it. Youn Ed, Al, and Winry are criminally cute to boot. I can not wait to see the rest of my favourite characters animated including Olivia Armstrong and the Xingese. I don´t know a great deal about the band SID nor their lead vocalist Mao, but I am looking forward to hearing their ending song for FMA in its entirety. I wonder who will sing the opening theme song.

After hearing that song for the Nth time it sounds so damn catchy o.o

talkin bout the song,,,i liked it a lot...
the new animation does hava a somewhat water colour effect to it,,which will make action scenes look
more cool...the movements of the characters will look a lot more fluid...
but ive got one problem...it does look too cartoony..lol

I just assumed that the song already existed as a song on an album somewhere. The thought that it might not have been released yet never occurred to me.

Hey guys, I am new to the forums, so this is my first official post! YAY!!!

I heard about the new FMA series a month ago, and was a little worried at first when I saw the first teaser. Mainly because Roy Mustang is my favorite character and he looked really weird the few seconds that were devoted to him. However, by now my skepticism has been slowly squashed and I have found myself looking forward to this new anime, even with the VA changes. Plus I really like the new animation design they are taking with this anime, it seems unique.

However, I have a question. Was it ever fully confirmed that this new anime will be based off of the manga (I hope it is)? I have heard people saying it will be, but I have yet to hear an official statement. Plus with this Issac character they have added I am not entirely sure if what everyone is saying is true...

Father, which is manga-only character . If you have more questions, just ask.

By the looks of the teaser I think they might skip the whole Lior episode since it has been done before. I am not looking forward to watching Hughes die again though
