And, yes, it's legit. According to the site for the official Japanese postal service, as posted by
Kasumisty above, they have been officially making official Japanese postage stamps with designs based on anime characters since 2001, and for their 13th collection they are making postage stamps with FMA characters.
* It's officially coming out on June 14, 2010, and currently they are taking pre-sale orders.
* It comes out as a seat of 10 x 80 Japanese Yen stamps,
as pictured, and each sheet will cost 800 Japanese Yen.
* Size for the whole sheet is 21.25 cm high x 14.025 cm wide; size of each individual stamp is 3.65 cm high x 2.805 cm wide.
* There will be total of 13,000,000 sheets sold.
* You can buy them at postal stores once they come out, or by mail-order.
* You can also order the seat with special first-day-sale cancellations;
Ed for hand cancellation and
Al for machine cancellation, or you can personally go to some of the postal stores where these cancellations are available on the day of the sale.
* For the Internet mail-order, if you have a credit card, you can order it
here for 800 Japanese Yen for each sheet, plus 440 Japanese Yen for shipping fee per order (free S&H if the order is 5000 Japanese Yen or more) but so far I haven't found out if we can order it from outside Japan, tho I kind of afraid they may not ship it overseas. (I really want to order this one, though! ^^)
I want those stamps too. They all look awesome.
