"....Do you honestly think that he's the dumbest human being in the world? How do you don't know that when we enter that door he'll be waiting for us, and when I fight, he won't be ready for any open spot to kill her? I'll do anything in my power to protect her, but the man can obviously kill her if I do that, Kitty-Lady."

Allen said shaking his head. That has got to be the dumbest thing I have heard of in a very long time....

"Allen,I've been doing that to L for the past 2 years and he's not dead yet,the secret is to keep kicking his butt relentlessly and if you get kicked into a wall get over to her before he does.Duh."

Kari said bluntly now having to climb up the wall to get to the higher locks,damn height.

"Ok...I trust you."

Allen said nervously. "Let me get that for you." he said as he jumped up and kicked off the last two locks. "Now we can go in."

"One minute."

Kari said taking a deep breath and cleaning her father's sword which oddly had a pendent tied onto the hilt and she thought sighing before motioning for them to go in

Kuronue-kun,give me strength again.Please.

"Ok. See you in a minute."

Allen said as he walked into the room. The room was massive, with bookshelves surrounding the entire way around. There were cameras and survelance systems near his desk, and it looked like no one was home. However, the smell said otherwise.

"Come to kill me, haven't you young Allen-kun?"

Atticus said as he spun the chair around, revealing his smiling face.

"You're damn right."

"Two actually."

Kari said next to Allen with her hands in her pockets with her 'poker' face on and the sword sheathed at her left hip and Hades holstered at her right.

Atticus then frowned. "Oh, little Kari-chan, why would you want to kill me? I haven't done anything to you to make you upset. When you were in the battle with the dying dead girl on Allen's back, L was perfectly fine. I wouldn't do anything to make you feel bad. It's all your friend's fault that you're here."

"You're a sick man, you know that." Allen said, trying to calm down.

"You're girlfriend said the same exact thing before she was sent to her doom." Atticus said with a devilish grin.

"It's true that you hadn't done anything to L-kun and I thank you for that,but you hurt Madison to the point where she's half dead and that is not acceptable and you failed in trying not to make me feel bad."

Kari said calmly with a slight twitch

Atticus then started to giggle, before roaring in an insane laughter. "Do you honestly consider these people as your friends? Please, what have they ever done for you? They're no more your friend then I'm Allen's best buddy. Why should you trust these two?"

"We've done what every good friend does, makes sure that nothing ever happens to her to kill her. Sometimes things happen that we can't change, but we still try to help her out in all ways possible."

Allen said, his golden eyes flashing at him.

"They're both idiots true,but they're my idiots to deal with since I'm the only mature one.And they keep me sane,well.More sane then you at least."

Kari said bluntly,it was one of her insulting and complimenting statements that always confused people

"At least you got one thing right about them...well, I'm sad to say that along with Allen and Ms. Madison, that you shall die along with them today."

Atticus said shaking his head, then getting out two swords. "Now, are you two both ready?"

"More than you'll ever know." Allen said putting Mat-Mat in a corner. You be safe now, ok? he told her while he transformed into a wolf.

"I'm always ready."

Kari said bluntly popping her sword out of it's sheath,ready to fight at any given moment.

"Perfect...then let's begin shall we?"

Atticus said with a grin, running towards Kari and taking a few swipes at Kari and Allen. "I want to see you bleed." Allen dodged the first couple, trying to take a swipe at him as well with his paw. "You're really a sick person, you know that?" Allen said leering at him. "I think that statement has already been notified, don't you think?"

"I'm not bleeding anytime soon."

Kari said bluntly matching every single swipe with her sword or with Hades,not getting a single cut on her yet.And she somehow managed to get a shallow wound on his stomach,which could of been fatal if he hadn't moved,and said looking at the blood dripping from her sword

"And you wanted us to bleed."

"Hmph. You're a cute little kitty aren't you? I shouldn't try to harm that little face."

Atticus said smiling as he suddenly appeared behind her, swiping a large cut on Kari's back. He then licked his sword with the blood and smiled. "You're blood is tasty. I wonder what wolf would taste like though?"

"I'm not the kind of person have my blood tasted like wine." Allen growled as he tackled Atticus full on towards a bookshelf, knocking a few books off the shelf. "Pinchy, aren't we?" Atticus said with a grin as he swung his sword towards him, Allen barely dodging it.

"Just because I'm cute doesn't mean I can't and won't take care of myself."

Kari said bluntly going on par to him sword to sword both of them trying to push the other one back,until of course Kari kicked him in the shins sending him down a couple feet back onto the floor.

"Now, now, no need to be rough. Your black as night eyes won't seem as beautiful pools of water anymore."

Atticus said smiling, getting up and swinging his sword, meeting Kari's head on in a duel.

You can sort of tell the obvious, can you Kari?

Allen said smiling on the inside, tackling Atticus so that Kari can take a few more swings at him.

Hm?What?

Kari replied not getting it,and from him saying that lost concentration and didn't get the couple swings she could of before he got back up again and they started dueling again and she said blinking bluntly

"Uh,I don't know if that was a compliment but thank you.I think."

Don't act so oblivious. He's infatuated with you, in a crazy weird kind of way.

Allen said biting Atticus's arm hard, breaking the bone. He was laughing so hard on the inside it wasn't even funny.

"HE'S WHAT?!"

Kari screamed blushing bright red loosing balance and just barely managed not to trip and fall flat on her butt at that comment,it was ironic on how all the guys around who were single crazy or not were infatuated with her BUT the guy she liked.

You know, the type of love Mrs. Lovett has for Sweeney Todd. Except the Sweeney Todd in this case is you and you're just as oblivious to his flirting as L is for yours.

Allen said tossing Atticus to the side into a bookshelf. "If you can't even notice that, then you're in big trouble now."

"Well now, shall we continue this little scuffle now?" Atticus said smiling, getting up and charging at Allen.

".....I'm a hypocrite now."

Kari said well,point blank frozen in an anime white stature.It would of been MUCH smarter for Allen to have told her that AFTER they dealt with him since now she was well,having a spazz attack.

"Ugh, Dammit Kari."

Allen said tackling Atticus into a bookshelf, knocking the man out for a few minutes. He then ran towards Kari and slapped her across the cheek. "Get a grip of yourself. I know you better, you should be able fight even you know that you have many lovers in the scene. We may lose if you don't stop spazzing out."

"Ow.For once,thank you for the slap.But you didn't have to hit me that hard....."

Kari said sheepishly rubbing her now raw red cheek,he hit her harder than he had meant to and that was going to bruise later but she would live and she was back to her normal kick butt self and started poking the currently KO'd Atticus with the butt of her sword looking devilish.

"Hello, my Lucy...."

Atticus mumbled smiling with his eyes barely opening.

"Didn't I tell you? Exactly like Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd." Allen said sighing, then kicking his upside the head to knock him out again.

"Lucy....?But that would make him Sweeney and me his wi- oh dear.....I thought it was bad enough that my split personality is named Johanna but come on!LUCY!?"

Kari whined sweat dropping

Allen couldn't help himself. He started to laugh out loud hysterically, rolling on the floor with tears in his eyes. "Oh.My.God. This is too funny!!!!!"

"There...was a barber and his wife....and she was...beautiful....and he was..."

Atticus mumbled, glaring at Allen. "Don't make fun of my Lucy." He then charged at Allen, tackling him and breaking through the wall. "Try laughing now, funny boy."

Kari sweat dropped and did what her instincts told her to do,go along with it.And she flickered over in front of him giving him a pleading look saying cutely

"Atticus,please don't hurt him!He didn't mean it!"

"I don't care. When you upset me, you never come back alive."

Atticus said looking at Allen with evil eyes. Allen was lying on the ground, bleeding from his head and semi-conscious. "Or....I have a better idea." Atticus said looking at Mat-Mat, still in the corner.

"DON'T YOU DARE HARM HER, YOU DAMN NUT CASE!!!!!" Allen growled, getting up and tackling him again.

"STOP IT NOW!"

Kari yelled keeping the both of them from killing each other by standing in between them and said to Allen first just as firm as she was with Atticus

"Down,no trying to bite his throat out." "Atticus please don't hurt him anymore,he's just as upset as you are!So can we please stop this needless fighting?"

"Now, now my love. It has to be done. He's upset you, and if the poor wolf wants to die along with his lover, I shall do such that for him."

Atticus said kissing Kari on top of her forehead. He then ran towards Allen, who was protecting Mat-Mat, and charged at him, tackling him through the wall. Allen gripped onto Mat-Mat, protecting her so she wouldn't die. "I'm sorry, Madison." he said when they were run through the wall.

Kari flickered from her original spot to the next wall where Allen and Madison were about to go into and caught them both with a small groan and set them both down knowing that if she got them to a hospital within 12 hours they should be fine and she said to Atticus giving him a pleading look with tears building up in her eyes

"Please forgive him!He didn't upset me,he sort of surprised me is all and YOUR UPSETTING ME RIGHT NOW!"

Atticus just stared at her, shocked. He then started laughing like a madman, the hysteria flowing through every laugh. "My dear love, do you not know what must be done when a man sees his lover upset? He takes all the precautions to make sure she's not upset any longer by the certain man who did such. I want to make sure that you will never be upset anymore by this man ever again. Now, let me do my bidding."

"Don't...even think...about it." Allen said standing up. "You need to stop. A true man who cares for a woman wouldn't even think about doing these kind things to her friends."

Kari 'calmly' stepped back,shaking with every step,not wanting to get mixed up in this fight much longer.Johnna was getting restless again and it would make all hell open if she managed to get out and she mumbled her large black eyes wider than usual

"Please stop.....I just want to go home."

"Don't worry, Kari....I won't fight him. I just want to get Mat-Mat some help."

Allen said smiling warmly, going over to rub her shoulder to make her feel better.

"Fine...you can go home wolf boy, but I want my girl to stay."

Atticus mumbled, reluctant.

"I'll stay,just make sure L-kun goes home too and make sure Mat-Mat gets better okay?"

Kari said to Allen wiping her eyes and going back to 'normal' before standing up and giving him a brief friendly hug

"Fine by me, love. I have to keep telling you though, L-kun was never in harm's way. He was at home the entire time."

Atticus said smiling.

"But....Kari..?"

Allen said worried, looking at her with a sad 'What-the-hell-are-you-thinking' look. He picked up Mat-Mat and waited for Atticus to take them home.

"I suppose that's a good thing."

Kari mumbled about how L was still at home,bad thing was that he would send a search party for her.Great.But she waved good bye to Allen and Mat-Mat

Atticus was about to snap his fingers to send them home, but he stopped suddenly. "You...want to go back with your friends, don't you?" he asked sincerely. "I promised you that I would make you happy, and I don't want to upset you."

Kari gave him a 'are you serious' look and said after a minute with a soft smile

"How about I split my time with you and everybody?I can stay here or there for a week at a time.It wouldn't be fair nor nice to leave you all by yourself you know."

"...It may be hard to come back here ever again, Kari. It's sort of complicated if you do choose that decision. I'm sorry, but it's one or the other."

Atticus said frowning. "And it's not like I would be here by myself. I have my guards."

"Guards don't count as company."

Kari said automatically and sweat dropped before looking between the two of them murmuring now getting a headache for thinking too hard

"I only have 6 months tops left and it'd probably break either one's hearts to see me go.....Gah.Why does this have to be irritating?!"

"...........Why can't he come with us?"

Mat-Mat mumbled with her eyes closed.

"That's true." Allen said smiling. You need to go back to sleep love.

"That would probably work......Want to come with?"

Kari said/asked Atticus with a bright happy smile as she blew some of her bangs out of her eyes

"I've done many things in my life, I can never go back. Besides, it might be hard for those two to forgive me."

Atticus said sadly, looking away.

Kari's eye twitched and she automatically tugged on his ear as if she was scolding a child and said bluntly

"And I haven't done bad things?First step in the process is to accept it and start moving your hiney in the right direction and this would be it.It's your choice,either come with us and start emotional rehab or stay here being miserable till the day you die."

"Plus, I forgive you. You have to understand my little....jokes can be upsetting at time."

Allen said smiling. "It would be fun if you came with us."

"I...I will. However, I need to...take care of a few things first. Wait for me outside of the building. Here, if you leave this room and take a left, you'll be out of here."

Atticus said smiling.

"Okie Dokie!See you outside!"

Kari said brightly practically skipping down the hall way with Allen smiling brightly

"Ok." Allen said as he went outside with Kari, sort of suspcious of what Atticus needed to do. "Just don't do anything that you might regret." Allen shouted to him before he left the building. When he went outside, he looked at what he was inside the entire time. The building looked exactly like Alcatraz to him. He started to shudder and the appearance.

"It's like a big park......"

Kari said blinking sweat dropping at the shape of the building
