"I did not,last time I checked I told you to scram back at the tree."

Kari said bluntly to the two and to Allen simply going back to her book while trying to blow hair out of her glasses way

"I'm multiple kinds."

Jillian shook her head "Denial wont help. But dont worry, we see this everyday" She said, Alexander nooded in agreement as he grabbed another chocolate bar.

Allen was already asleep, but he was talking in his sleep the entire time. He started talking about how it was wonderful that he was with Mat-Mat, then he started mentioning Kari's name, and he then just dozed off after that.

((Got to go for now. My brother needs the computer. XD))

Kari twitched even more and said snapping her book shut again and said to the two in a cold blunt but truthful tone

"I'm not in denial.I know I love him.He doesn't,so that's all that it is.No drama no nothing."

"I'm not talking about that. We all know you love him. "Love" that's our job, remember? What I am talking about is the fact you need our help, you asked for it" She said "You are confused and even scared and there is were I enter" Alexander said as he shrughed.

"When did I ask for it?"

Kari asked raising her eye brows,she never remembered calling an anti-cupid and a cupid to 'help' her,good luck for them to try and talk it into the oblivious idiot that she fell in love with.

"Now there is the interesting part. You didnt "asked" for it, not with words" Jillian said as she smiled "Dont ask. It's kind of complicate" Alexander added "But anyway, we are here to help you, you have a cupid and anti-cupid, you are lucky person! Well except for the anti-cupid part" Jillian said, mumbling the last part "Wow. Coincidence I was about to say the same" He hissed angrily.

"Ironic that ones cupid and the others anti-cupid,you solve your own love problems just to get away from yours."

Kari commented as she sat down again,nose in her book.Having a feeling they were going to take that blunt comment badly.

Both of them went anime white. "W...what?" Jillian asked as her eye twitched "Love problems?" Alexander asked "Y...you got it all wrong!! We are an anti-cupid and a cupid!!" She said "And....we...dont....we...." She mumbled trying to find the right words "We dont feel love" Alexander said bluntly, Jillian lowered her eyes a sad and broken expreccion in her face "We are not here to talk about us!! Kari, you are the problem" Jillian said as she looked at Kari.

"I might have a problem,but it's nothing between you two.In fact cupid-san,I doubt you can fix my problem when you have the same exact one."

Kari replied bluntly,she was so blunt and cold and emotionless sometimes that it was rather hilarious/frightening when you saw her hyper and more like a child and her wanting to go on a merry go round and you wouldn't imagine her reading such a gory book like Sweeney Todd at times like those.

Jillian lowered her eyes. "You dont even know what you are talking about" Alexander mumbled angrily "We are cupids for the plain reason that we dont feel love, but we understand it" He said "You are a foolish girl Kari! Your heart is strong, it can take some heartaches!! If you keep doing this, your heart will end dead and broken, like old bones" Jillian said "I wont let you loose this chance, I know how it will be if you do" She said "I dont feel love anymore, but that dosent mean I never felt it" She whispered.

"Do I?Then I feel very sorry for you since clearly that isn't the truth.Anything and anyone can love or not love when it tries.And if you have time to go rant to me on how I'm supposed to fix my problems then go fix yours first."

Kari replied flipping a page,how blunt this small mixed breed girl was.

Jillian now looked angry really angry "You foolish, heartless girl!!" She hissed "Do you know what would I give to be able to feel like you feel?? I would give everything" She said "I literally got my heart broken!! And now all I am able to do, is help people find love!! And everyday I have to walk on this earth knowing I'll never be able to love or be loved again" She mumbled "A cupid can't feel love, cause a cupid became a cupid when her heart died" She said "You are supposed to give it all when you find love, but the best you can do is give up and that's pathetic" She whispered.

Kari calmly shut her book and took her glasses off,which oddly made her eyes seem smaller,and her eyes were coal black no spark no love no nothing that they generally held and she said to Jillian before getting up

"I'm sorry to hear that,and as heartless as I may seem I had a heart,until it was broken multiple times so I just gave up.I'll always love him more than any of my other friends but as every other St.Valentines day I'll be alone and miserable myself and will not complain since I brought this on myself."

Jillian shook her head softly "You dont know what is to have your heart broken" She said "It's a feeling that you cant even describe" She whispered "That's why I get "so involved in jobs" cause I dont want anyone to feel as I felt" She said "Look Kari I am just gonna teach you what I learned by the ugly way: fight for it Kari. I got my heart broken and I gave up, I didnt had the courage to stand up and fight for it. And I didnt realised all I got untill I lost it. But you stil have a chance, and if you give up, you'll end just with the bittersweet memory, and everyday you'll think of what could have happened if you hadnt gave up" She said "Maybe Alexander is right" She whispered "I'm a stubbern cupid that dosent know when to give up" She said as she chuckled sadly.

"You are,but for normal people you actually work.I'm not normal unfortunately,I've been cursed for life and I'm alright with it.And I'm not heart broken,I have no heart.Least that's what I've been told at the very least."

Kari replied putting her book back into the shelf carefully and pulling out The Beauty And The Beast

"Kari-sama, if you don't have a heart, then how can you love L-kun?"

Allen mumbled as he sleepwalked towards them. "You've got a heart, otherwise you would have thrown me out on the street thousands of times."

"He's right, you know."

Mat-Mat mumbled too, her eyes slowly lifting up. Even if it was for a slight catnap, she hated to sleep.

Kari blinked and thought for a good couple minutes and then said turning the page to her book,smiling a little with her eyes warming at the mention of the question

"Because,the idiot somehow can make this beast have a heart."

"And you're a nice beast, Kari."

Allen said staring up at her, awake.

"That's either the nicest thing to say now, or not the greatest thing to say right now."

Mat-Mat mumbled waking up from her sleep. Catnaps....the worse.

".........I think it's somewhere in between."

Kari said with her eye twitching,it pissed her off that he said she was 'nice' when she WASN'T at ALL half the time,just covering it up,but she didn't mind the beast part.She always knew she was a ticking bomb that would go off at any moment and turn into a complete animal and not be able to go back,one of the main reasons why she didn't want to tell L she loved him.

"You do have a heart. And that's why we are here" Jillian said as she smiled, the usual "happy-cupid" attitude coming back "And that's why we are gonna help you" She added. "Well infact "we" dosent fit. I'll just try to ruin it" Alexander said as he shurghed "Nothing personal, it's my job" He added and that only earned him a smack in his head, Jillian gave him a death glare, he just pouted angrily.

"If you think that you're not nice, you've got to be the dumbest kitty-lady in the world."

Allen said staring at her sadly, then adding at the couple, "Why are you still here?"

"I'm wondering the same thing. All you're doing is observing this weird romance conflict going on, and you think it's like watching an acrobat show. Are you amused by all of this, or just wanting to help?"

Mat-Mat said staring blankly at them.

Jillian went anime white, her mouth opened wide as her eye twitched. "Ouch, I bet that hurt" Alexander mumbled as he sweatdropped. "Well let's just say we came to help" He said "It's our job" He added.

"Clearly wanting to help."

Kari said bluntly while polishing her Hades while humming under her breath and singing softly,one of her all time favorite songs from the Sweeney Todd book,such a waste that such a beautiful and talented voice would be lost to sickness soon.

Allen said as he started howling to it. "It once provided Mat-Mat a lot of influence for her music."

"Thanks, Allen. That's when my music was really gothic style though."

Mat-Mat said rolling her eyes as she started finishing the melody for her sheet music.

Kari ignored him and hummed the rest of the song before starting to sing a different song as soft and pretty as ever,this time more feminine and angelic as it would seem.When she made her voice deeper she had a demonic growl,when she made it higher she sounded like an angel.Ironic.

Allen just kept howling along, knowing a good bit of these songs. Mat-Mat finally put the final touches on her sheet music, ending the piece with a very soft, yet heavenly tone she thought. She then got out another sheet of paper and started doing the same thing again; she was on a music high today.

'The Judge has repented,' she thinks, poor thing "Oh where is Judge Turpin?" she asks... ...He was there alright! Only NOT so contrite!"

Kari continued shutting her book and grabbing her Kendama and playing with it,venting out her anger through the song and through the toy

Allen kept howling along when suddenly, he stopped. He perked his ears up in the air, as if he heard something he didn't like. He changed back into his human form, and started staring out the window, worried.

"Allen, what's up?" Mat-Mat asked looking up from her sheet music.

Kari hummed the last two bars of her rather disturbing song and she looked at Allen from the corner of her eye,trying to keep focused on the toy,and asked under her breath

"Who is it Allen?I can't tell."

"Not losing you touch, are you?"

Allen said still staring at the window. "I honestly don't know, but their presence doesn't feel happy at all. It feels like an ominous cloud is outside. At first I thought it was anti-cupid over there, but it can't be him. Noone's this depressing."

"Being sick and depressed generally brings your ears down."

Kari replied,not looking up from her kendama which she lost again.How irritating this game was,but it kept her busy and not trying to strangle Allen or the cupids so it would have to work.

Allen then started growling, his eyes flashing golden yellow, and his blond hair standing on its roots. "He's coming. The bringer of all evil. The one who doesn't love anymore, the one who only lives for suffering."

"How do you know so much about him?"

Mat-Mat asked worried. She didn't like when he was this evil.

"He's muttering it to himself, and he's about, oh, 2000 feet from the house, and closing in on us every second."

"Who is it?"

Kari asked reloading Hades and snapping it closed,she was 'evil' herself once you thought about it.She could be the coldest blooded killers around when she really wanted to,which is as L put it 'evil'

"Someone eviler than you."

A voice said as someone appeared in the room suddenly with a cloud of black smoke. He had dark black hair, wore nothing but dark clothing, Masquerade style sunglasses, and an eviler smile to go along with his evil face.

"Who are you?" Allen asked as he stepped in front of Mat-Mat, protecting her.

"Eviller than me?Who would of thought."

Kari said sarcastically,rolling her eyes.Completely undisturbed by him,there was only a handful of men who could scare her and two were dead,we have no clue where the others were though.

"Hmph. Trust me, little kitten, there are worst things than you."

The young man said as he answered Allen's question. "I am Atticus, the bringer of all evil. I have always made sure that all the young loves in the world either end in death....or worse, heartache."

"Wow, you're the exact of the Atticus I know."

Mat-Mat said, remembering her adoptive father.

"That's two anti-cupids in the room."

Kari said calmly and sarcastically and then paused lifting her prized pistol to her ear and mumbled softly,almost singing

"Whisper, I'll listen.I know, I know....You shall drip rubies,You'll soon drip precious Rubies..."

"What are you doing?"

The man asked across the room, with Hades in his hand. He had moved faster than the speed of sound and got her pistol from her.

"Oh s**t. We're screwed."

Allen said staring at him, turning into his wolf form and growling at him.

"Talking to my friend.Please give him back."

Kari said/asked bluntly and calmly,her eyes black and cold like tunnels again,not holding any peppery spark like they usually did.They seemed oddly and rather disturbingly dead.

"No...I personally like this gun. It's got a dark past, and it holds many hardships. It's pain is comforting to me."

Atticus said as he started rubbing the gun to his face, loving the gun's entire craftmanship.

"Dude....you are seriously messed up." Allen growled with an anime sweat drop on his head.

"Not as much as you are, Allen Wheeler. You're more messed up than your friend, Madison Rhodes, but not as messed up as Kari Neko over there."

"....How in the hell do you know our names?!"

"The first time......Anybody's ever complimented Hades other than me."

Kari said her wide coal black endless eyes wide,rather shocked.

"Well, miss Kari, this gun is a marvel....however, it can't compare to my little weapon."

Atticus said as he smiled, bringing out a rod the size of a walking stick. It was black all over with a silver cat on top of it. Ironic. "This little stick, which I call Midnight, is my prized possession, and it's the first time that it actually had some competition in strength. But first, we need to leave this horrible home." Then they were all in a room, black and white, and it had checkered cards everywhere, with jokers all over them.

"Welcome, to my home."

Atticus said keeping his hold on both weapons.

"Like I said....messed up. But has the homey flare to it." Allen said marveling it.

Kari sang while staring at the rod Midnight and her precious precious Hades,which could never be replaced.Though,it wasn't really Kari,it was her 5 year old split personality,named Johanna.Her already wide large eyes were the kind you'd see on a kindergartner but with one of the most beautiful voices invented.

"Gah...I hate these kind of situations. We've got some messed up friends in a messed up home!"

Allen shouted as he changed into his human form and started looking around the weird room. He actually like it, the checkered cards a fun game he loved to play.

"Our friend isn't the person she supposed to be.....Kari is that really you?"

Mat-Mat asked looking confused at Kari.

"Enough talk for now. It's time to play some games."

Atticus yelled to them as their names appeared before the man (Kari's being changed to Johanna), and he shouted, "Spin, glorious names, call upon the first people to be in our little game."

The names spun round and round, until you couldn't see them with the naked human eye. The swirls made the names blurs, and it gave everyone a headache. "Now.....STOP, and let's see who is in the first game!"

The first two names were Kari (Johanna) and Mat-Mat. "Brilliant...." Mat-Mat mumbled to herself as Kari and Mat-Mat were transported into another room. It was a giant, pink room with ribbons everywhere.

"PRETTTTTTTTTTTTY!"

Johanna yelled happily,definitely not KARI AT ALL!She hated pink!So it wasn't her,and then she looked around curious as to what the game was.Most wouldn't believe it but even when it was Johanna she was still brilliant at games and the like.

What happened to the little emo kitty I once knew?

Mat-Mat thought to herself as she looked around the room disguisted.

Atticus then appeared on one of the large screens in the room. He was still in his black outfit, but instead his glasses were now in the shape of hearts. "I'm glad to see that you like this, Johanna. Anyway, on with the game." A giant game board then came above both of them. It was in the shape of a forest, and there were characters running around in the life like forest. "Now, your objective is to build a little army of these cute woodland critters to battle each other. You have 10 characters. You lose part of your life when you lose a character. Once all your characters are gone, you lose and are sent to...." Atticus then showed them a room with endless darkness and corpses all around. ".......my little dark room, where you are never allowed to leave unless your partner swaps places with you."

Mat-Mat then stared at Kari (Johanna) with worry. I don't want to send Kari there. I personally don't want to go there either.

Johnna blinked,calculating before asking Atticus in the same innocent and cute 5 year old manner

"What if Johanna-chan and Mat-Mat win at the same time?"

That could really only happen if either they didn't play the game,they both killed each other at the same time,or Johanna had something else in mind with her twisted and insane logic.

Alexander looked around "So familiar" He mumbled "Dont say that" Jillian hissed a hint of nervousness in her voice.

"Well....." Atticus said as he Grinch smiled. "This will happen." They saw on the screen Allen and L tied up to a post. "You'll just have to kill your lover. If you don't do either, you both die, but not at seperate times, so one of you will never know if the other has died. Anymore questions, little kitty?"

"I have one. Why are you such a messed up person?"

Mat-Mat asked rolling her eyes.
