"Yes, but there is the very slight possibility that everything will go wrong," Ash said with an irritated sigh, hitting her forehead against the wall again. "And if anything did go wrong, Kari, Susi, and Kyo would all kill me and I'd be upset with myself, so...ah, f***," she muttered, still undecided.

"Then Use it on me. All thoughs you've mensioned except for Kari don't know I'm alive." he said.

Jett blinked, nodding. "He does have a point, but Kari...hmm..." He rubbed his chin, thinking as he watched L and Ash.

"Yes, Kari-chan..." Ash sighed, then stared at L. "...You're going to keep insisting until I give-in, are you?" she grumbled, then sighed again, whacking her head hard against the wall before stepping away from it, ignoring the throbbing.

There was several foot steps behind them and Kari being the rather pissy but over protective guardian she was half yanked L's ear off to gain his attention and she growled her eyes flashing from pepper black to gold again,which had become normal now a days,she still had cancer but she was supposedly doing better now she only coughed a little and had some dizzy spells but now she had been working in the library while her cat ears had picked up the conversation so here she was in her black turtle neck and back and red plaid skirt that ended just above her knee's with a pile of books in one arm and pulling on L's ear with the other

"Are.You.INSANE!?I AM NOT GONNA HAVE YOU DO THAT ON MY WATCH!"

And then she noticed Ash,Hotaru,and Jett and she smiled saying hello to them all rather sweetly compared to the fact that she was threatening to pull off the brigadier general's ear,which made everyone around look at her like she was crazy until they noticed who exactly it was and then they just started laughing since it was almost always like that with those two.Though there was a 'small',in other words most of the technology department and anybody who even goes into the library,group of men in the corner sighing over how they wouldn't ever stand a chance in getting a date with our favorite feline girl and they all said sighing "Why can't we find a woman like that?"

BiC| Jett, clearly, had never seen nor met Kari and nearly jumped up at the sight of her feline ears, eyes wide. Ash, however, beamed, seeming to put her previous conversation with L in the back of her mind.

"Kari-chan! I haven't seen you for a while!" she said with a grin and hugged her friend. "How've you been?"

"Erm.....Well,been put through multiple sector's of hell.And I got lung cancer so now the tables for the baby sitting and have turned,and this one's more violent."

Kari said hugging her back before turning to Jett saying bluntly

"Half chimera.No need to get bug eyed about it."

Ash blinked, staring at Kari blankly before twitching slightly. "Lung cancer..." she repeated in an irritated tone. She pulled back and sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose in a stressful manner. "First we have L's heart condition, you get cancer, Virus nearly dies from an attack by Pride...AGH! It seems we're all magnets for death and despair!"

"You forgot that I'm a black cat when it comes to luck.....And pretty much everybody from my mother's side gets cancer of some sort.Naru died from lung cancer too,must be something about us doing the flash technique for lung cancer,but anyway I was gonna die in some pathetic way anyway so I'm alright with it.I JUST DON'T WANT L KILLING ME TO AN INCH FROM DEATH IN THE PROCESS!"

Kari said/yelled anime crying at the end

"I simplly tired to break your bones so you wouldn't be running around makeing it worse." he said sighing.

"Waaaaaaah!Ash-chan,L-kun's being mean!"

Kari said clinging to her leg childishly

Ash blinked, then sighed, rubbing her forehead and patted Kari on the head. "Don't worry; I'll protect you from meanie L-kun," she said in a joking tone.

"And you said you missedyour 5-year old. I belive you are acting much like on of thouse." he said

"That's because your scary as hell as a teenager....I have been a 5 year old this whole time and probably always will."

Kari said sticking her tongue out at him

"I don't enjoy being reffered to as a Teenager. I belive that blood slowlly stops flowing to my brain the more I have the thing on my chest thus I become less mature the more I age." he said.

"Your still scary."

Kari said bluntly while hiding behind Ash's legs

"Ash let's just get back to our disscussion of auras as we talk of Kari's." he suggested.

'I'd rather not, now,' Ash thought grimly, narrowing her eyes at him, but patted Kari's head and sighed. "Alright, Kari's aura? Well, her's a mixture of both a human's and an animal's because she's part chimera, though..." She glanced down at Kari with a raised brow, "...it seems to be weakening somewhat. At least, it's weakened a bit since the last time I saw her."

"then that must be the Cancer. Are diffrent peoples diffrent colors or do you tell by strenth of an aura" L asked.

Ash flinched, remembering the cancer her friend had, and looked concerned now. "Auras can be multiple colors: it sometimes depends on that person's personality. They can be good, but if they become evil at some point, it slowly turns green; if they fall in love, it turns pink," she said with a nod, "Strength only indicates either an abnormality like, sat, a Homunculus, or a health condition."

"Ah. And what Color would mine and Kari's be? or yours or Jett's?" he asked

Ash blinked, wondering if she should give him confidential information like that. "Well...mostly, they're all a bland color like 'white' or 'gray'. I mentioned earlier that Jett likes someone, so his is pink," she said with a nod.

Kari said quietly and rather shyly still hiding behind Ash,but still the curious cat.

"I doubt were that Bland." he stated

Ash just laughed, then sighed and scratched the back of her head. "Are you sure? I might wind up embarrassing you guys," she said with a nod, then pointed at the ring on her finger, "I already know mine's pink, even though I can't see my own aura." She blushed briefly with another nod.

"Is it always just on color?" he asked.

"Yes, but that color can change depending on your feelings, intentions, and moods," Ash explained again, pointing at him.

"What's my color?"

Kari asked curiously

"Yes so what is the color of ours?" he asked curiouslly. he was going to probe the Alchemy thing untill he would understand every part of it.

Ash just laughed again. "Alright...Kari, your aura is pink and L...your's is...orange," she said, raising a brow.

"Orange? What dose that mean?" he asked confused.

"Wait,pink?Doesn't that mean......WHAT?!!?!?!?!?!?"

Kari said/yelled anime white

Ash looked up at L to answer his question. "Actually, it's orange-red; it means you're confident and/or energetic," she said with a nod. She looked down at Kari, grinning, "Pink means you're in love, Kari-chan." She chuckled.

"I AM NOT!"

Kari yelled in denial

"With Whom might I ask?" he asked leaning towards her as he did so often with everone.

"NOBODY!"

Kari half yelled still in denial blushing bright magenta,half from him moving closer to her and the other from being told that she has a pink aura.

"I know whom, but I'm not telling," Ash said with a shrug, amused by Kari's denial as she patted her friend on the head between her cat ears.

"I find that hard to belive.." he said. "So how often dose one's change?" he asked

"Don't say that!Now he's going to annoy the both of us till we tell!"

Kari whined anime crying,still bright beet red

"Your personal Life is your own Buissiness. You could love Ash and I wouldn't care less." he said.

Kari had a 'ewww' face and she mumbled rolling her eyes

"Now I find THAT hard to believe."

"Well I don't." he said

Ash raised a brow. "Um...thanks for that thought, L," she said, looking creeped out at the thought and coughed. "Let's see...you asked how often they change color, right? Well, it depends: how often do your moods and emotions change?"

"Frequently."

Kari said bluntly and added jokingly "Sometimes I think he gets PMS from his constant mood swings."

"I useally am not energetic or in any kind of mood and only when I'm on the verge of a breakthrough.." he said "Though not often do I change moods." he said

"Yeah, I noticed," Ash said with a roll of her eyes. "But, you're right: since I've known you, yours hasn't changed that often. Kari's on the other hand..." with that, she chuckled lightly.

"So it useally the orange color?" he asked

"Shut up."

Kari said to Ash pouting

Ash nodded. "Yup, normally, it's orange," she said with another nod, ignoring Kari.
