It's just me, or it slightly reflects how fans will feel in June?
Very much so! In fact I feel like shedding a tear at the thought of the end!
Rain is such a good song though. I think it's the perfect choice for the last ED.

I don't think so... when I checked on YesAsia, the track listing was the same for all three versions. I think the only main thing that makes the special editions "special" is the inclusion of the DVD. Although if anyone finds differently, please do post it here...

Ah, you beat me to it. I just barely saw that on the official site.
So it's a CD of...what? All the OP/ED songs? All the "best" songs?
All the character themes?

^Judging from the list of bands on Amazon JP I'd say it was all the OP/ED songs, and hilary said as such too as she saw the advertisement.
The CD with all the character themes is Theme Of FullMetal Alchemist by The Alchemists which was released last week.

July 7th. It says it includes 3 insert songs, so I guess we are getting another in episode 63 or 64.

Jun 24 2010, 02:33 AM
No ? Really ? You must be kidding

The W.C. is what is written on the shoes of Izumi and I love the fact they use it for the title of these tracks...
Or maybe you did know about it, and I don't understand anything
A Pierrot's Aria
Jun 24 2010, 02:37 AM
Ooh! Can't wait to get this soundtrack...I'm sort of hoping that Al will be on the front, but it's highly unlikely.
And I've always known W.C to stand for "water-closet". xD But in the track context it would be strange to read it as "Tribute to Water Closet". *shot*

Thanks for the track list and the cover, Kasumisty! But Ed on the cover looks... weird. It's too OOC.
I wonder which one is the 3rd insert song. One is Sorrowful Stone (from ep. 52 and 57), the second is Crime and Punishment (from ep. 54). Maybe it'll be in ep. 63 or 64. And from the tracks it looks like we'll hear at least one new track in the last episode.
EDIT: Added the track list to the first post.

It's Armstrong in an Ed costume. Look at the sparkles!!
Dearheart
Jun 24 2010, 01:19 PM
LOL, teh sparkles! THEY'RE CONTAGEOUS!!!
That cover IS a bit OOC for Ed, but I don't even
care about the OOCness because I'm an avid music lover and it looks so joyous and triumphant...and PRETTY...and it reminds me of August Rush... *__* And I can tell you from experience that there are few things more thrilling in life than conducting an orchestra.

I gotta say, I really dislike most of the Brotherhood soundtrack and the bad placing of it in so many otherwise wonderful scenes (I miss "Bratja" and "Beaming Sunlight" and countless other tracks from FMA
so much... *sobs*), but their covers are definitely gorgeous.

THIS. I rofl'd for the longest time. Ed totally is going psycho here and then pulling the Lelouch/Light really had me keeling over. It's kinda weird how happy and excited he is. It's scary. Really scary.
But the pic also looks pretty, I guess. He's on a stage and he's conducting his heart out. Good job, Ed.

Uh... hmm. I was REALLY looking forward to this cover since I LOVED the first two so much (ESPECIALLY OST 2... I couldn't even bring myself to shelf it properly... it stands upright on display on my bookshelf for all to see), but this one... just... O_o
Yeah, I like the concept and the joy of it and the sparkles and energy and red coat. I could even forgive the OOC-ness as well - I think it's just the angle that weirds me out. That combined with the OOC. I guess I still like it though.

Oh well, two out of three ain't bad! XD

Jun 25 2010, 01:31 AM
Personally, I don't think the second cover was terribly in character either. Can't really see Ed as a peaceful enough person to play/compose music. Possibly after the end of the series, perhaps

I've noticed something though. (Maybe I'm stating the really obvious here, but it isn't until now that all three covers are out that I realised how nicely they fit together). If you look at the cover for the first CD, it looks like Ed's in a creative dry spot, out of ideas for a song. On the second cover, it looks like he's come up with an idea, and now he's composing; writing, experementing, trying to make what he hears in his head come real, giving his idea form. And finally, on the third cover, he's performing on stage in front of a crowd, conducting an orchestra playing his finished work, with an incredibly satisfiying look on his face.

I noticed that as well. I figured it was supposed to be symbolic of his journey.
