Regarding the 3rd ED, I can't really get into to it either. The chorus of the song has kinda grown on me...but I can't say I like it all that much - it's a bit too slow for my tastes and the hip-hop portion seems a bit out of place. Let It Out is probably my favorite ED, but at least I'm not alone in liking the 3rd OP.

I have to admit the news that we'd be getting the fourth opening so soon has taken me a little bit by surprise. I'd kinda figured out in my head where abouts they'd put the openings and so far I'd been right on the money so this surprises me. I think that's just my pride being hurt there so is no biggie.

I will be sad to see Golden Time Lover go, as it's definately become my favourite of the songs so far, mostly because it manages to sound both triumphant and desperate at the same time, which suited FMA nicely.

However the opening animation as of episode 36, is pretty much out of date, with it teasing nothing. Compared to opening 1 (which STILL has stuff in it that hasn't been shown) and opening 2 (best for animation so far) it was a bit lackluster and bit of a slap in the face to everyone who loved volume 15. Seriously why have so much of volume 15 related stuff in the opening when that consisted of ONE episode.

Anyway I'm looking forward to what the new songs and animations have to offer. Considering we are in my favourite parts of the Manga, I'm expecting awesomeness. I also wanna make some predictions, don't highlight if you're not up to date on the manga:

- Chimera should almost definately be featured in some way
- I'm expecting to see alot of footage regarding Hohenheim's past as well
- As well as some shot involving Greed and Ling and their termoil
- MOTHER FUDGING PRIDE, COME ON!! That's the one thing that makes me eager for a new opening, the chance to see Pride being all kinds of badass in the opening, please dont rob me of that.
- Oh and Ed lifting his arm towards the sky or something else. As well a shot of him looking angsty and windswept.

Where I predicted this new opening to appear was after the Promised Day is revealed and there's a small time skip, but now it seems more likely to be coming around the time Olivier joins high command and Hohenheim's past is revealed.

Be interesting to see nonetheless

Golden time lover is my favorite opening, with Again (and Melissa) close behind. All three of them have this sort of nostalgia factor, but I think Golden time lover's a little darker. Plus, there's a ton of brotherliness, which is always good unless contaminated by Rule 34.

My favorite ending is still Uso. I don't know why, but those crayon scribbles and kid Ed and Al at the end always make me feel sad. I hated Let It Out until episode 22 (and 26!) came by.

Annnyyywwaaays, looking forward to the new OP! Pride better be in there and he better be as creepy as hell.

I like Golden Time Lover, but I am behind on FMA Brotherhood, so I have not watched the opening in a while. I don't like the third ending. I usually end up skipping over the ending theme. But I like listening to new opening and endings because it gives me the chance to hear new bands.

Admittedly it's a little weird when it goes from that rockin' intro to a more laid back sound 20 seconds in, but I like the way it builds back up and the rest of it more than makes up for that. The chorus is really addicting.

I think that this will probably be my second favorite opening if the animation comes through (and it will, based on the previous openings) I've really liked all of the opening sequences that they've had thus far, so I'm really looking forward to what they do with this one!

Do we know which episode will start the 4th OP? I think OP1 was eps 1-14 (14 episodes), and OP2 was 15-26 (12 episodes), OP3 was 27-present, so OP4 might start on ep 39 or 40?

Okay if the animation is on the money, this is gonna shoot straight to the top of my favourites, this song is frickin brilliant. It's catchy and epic at the same time. it's managed to capture the feelings of how the Manga is from this point on, and I never thought I'd say that.

On song alone, this could even beat Shikabane Hime's opening for my favourite of all time

When I heard it for the FIRST time, I must have been half-deaf because I wasn't impressed with it. However, when I popped it in again for a second listening, later this week.. that chorus hit me on the face, and hard o_o I fell in love. It's weird how that happened.

I don't really like Scandal as a band - their songs are mostly cheesy and sweet. But I had my doubts when I heard that Lil'b will be doing 3rd ED. Then I totally fell in love with Tsunaida Te - I've been positively surprised. So now I have faith in Bones, I'm sure they've chosen the right song. I just hope that new op and ed will really start this Sunday, I want to see it now! They didn't really confirm date, right?

And yeah, the music video is really, really cool. When I listen to the song I feel like it was written especially for FMA. It's my favourite OP so far. There's no way they're going to mess up the animation, no waaaay, I won't let them!

I kinda like the new OP/ED. At least, I think the songs are catchy. I also like the animation that goes with them. There were times where I had to pause and go back, 'cause I was all, "What was that!?" (Ex- the very brief image of Al's body).

Well looks like almost none of my predictions were correct beyond Pride epicness,but on reflection I guess certain things we're left out due to them being a bit spoilery. As it stands this opening doesn't actually give away alot of what's going to happen if you don't already know what's going to happen. It only showed established characters and the fights in the opening aren't giving away any of the twists and turns of the plot but still manage to be awesome.

I can see this opening going down really well with Kimblee fans as he manages to be the most bad-arse thing in the opening, next to Pride of course, though I am slightly biased.

I like the 'seperation' theme of the opening and I also like that it makes a point of showing Ed and Al with Winry and May respectively. I don't know why but it just seems nice.

Ending was actually my favourite so far (oh same for Opening) with it being just all kinds of awesome if not more spoiler filled than the opening. It also has a great image of Pride which is now my desktop . I also like the fight between Pride and Ed in the ending, which made me laugh as it's like a slower version of the opening's fight.

All in all BONES continues to out do itself each time with these opening and endings (well maybe not the 3rd Ending but shup up) which makes me even more excited for the potential 5th opening and ending, if there is one.

God this series is gonna get so epic soon...

I think I really like the OP. The song is good, but sometimes it sorta reminds of something from the Eurovision song contest we have here in Europe.... which is not happy association DD:
For animation, I really like how it starts out with Ed and Al drawing in the sand, and the Fullmetal Alchemist title emerging. Continuing on sand, the deserty parts are great - the one where Al walks alone on the dunes reminds me of the beginning of series 1 And Pride fight in the rocky environment kinda resembles some shots from the Melissa OP. I also get serious series 1 vibes from the part with the red circle, dunno why...

Ending was nice too, a LOT better than the previous (which, despite my opinions on it, grew on me). Throwing in an emo picture of Roy with wet hair and scarf felt like a little fanservice. Not that I mind. Too bad they have Winry wearing that orange scarf though x/

I really liked the new Op, after falling in love with the song anyway I'm glad to see the animation got itself up to scratch too. Mei grabbing hold of Al's hand is sweet, especially now we know the state his other body is in it's nice te be reminded Mei adores him no matter how he looks. Oh and Ed is looking grown up too.

As for the Ending, I'm not all that keen for some reason, though perhaps it will grow on me eventually.

OP: Wow, I already liked the song, and I -loved- the new OP! Loved the following especially:

Young Ed/Al drawing the transmutation circle in the dirt
The "dirt writing" title transitioning into the "real" title
The "colored separation" of Ed and Al, followed by Winry and Mei popping up, then everyone else popping up around them (they sure have a ton of supporting characters by now!)

By the way, that big crowd shot notwithstanding, they seem to have cut down on the number of characters in the intro- I think this is the first OP of either series without any Mustang or Hawkeye.

Also loved the animation of Pride, and the way they imply the Pride fight outside the slums as well as Greedling/Bradley. Recognizable to those of us who know it's coming, but nothing particularly "spoilerish"- unless you're -really- eagle eyed and catch Lanfan with her automail.

And -just-noticed now, watching a third time, Ed and Al standing at the end in the middle of the rentanjutsu-based transmutation circle discovered in ScarBro's notes.

The ED-
The music itself, first time hearing that, and a bit more uptempo than any ED so far, I like it though. I've heard Scandal's other work, which I've enjoyed.

Animation of the ED- I LOVE the shot of Hawkeye's tattoo. Also loved that one continuous shot of Ed, then Al, then Greedling, Heinkel, Darius, Jelso, Zanpano, Scar, Mei, Marcoh, and Yoki. It's the kind of thing you're more likely to see in an opening sequence, so it's definitely a little different. It's funny, though, going through all those badass fighters and then finishing the shot off with Marcoh and Yoki... A lot of the animation here in fact is something I'd more associate with an opening sequence than an ending.

Question: Whose hands were those that were clasping at the end?

Wow, I really like the new opening! The music is good, but it gets awesome combined with the animation. My favorite shots were the ones where Pride appears while the stone shatters (it's really creepy, having the dark expression and black and red and all, I love it), and Kimbley blowing up the, um, attack against Sloth (that one has beautiful timing on the explosions). Also the very beginning was cool too.

About the ending, I got shocked when I saw the tattoo shot of Hawkeye: About a month ago, I drew a girl in my sketchbook with exactly the same pose and with a tattoo of a hawk! Even the hair is the same, even though mine has her hair longer.

After falling in love and and obsessing over 'Period' this past week, I was really eager to see the new OP. And I wasn't disappointed! I really, really love it; definitely my favourite so far.

As for the ED... The song's all right. I don't really dislike it, so I'm sure it'll grow on me in the end (unlike the third ED). Though, I'm in love with the animation from Trisha's picture onward. I'm not a fan of the first half, but Edward, Greeling, and the others as well as the hands really got to me. I love it.

I like the new OP/ED way better than the previous set - and the animation is supa-purty. *___* The songs themselves aren't my favorites, but still enjoyable.

I will agree that Riza's tattoo looked cool, but it kinda bugs me that Brotherhood is pimping said tattoo without really explaining it to people who might not read the manga. "Hey, here's a glimpse of that spiffy tat again - hope you figured out what it means 'cuz we sure ain't tellin' ya!"

I think that they really nailed this OP/ED set. Though the new OP is just a little bit short of being as awesome as "Again" for me, it was really close to beating it out. I love the part where Ed and Al run through each other and turn red and blue respectively before Mei and Winry join them. Also, the Pride epicness!!!!!! That in itself made the OP. And there was that shot of the Gate shattering at the end that was pretty cool. And the SONG! It totally fit the atmosphere of the whole thing in my opinion.

I think that if there's a final OP, though it will probably beat all of the ones previous. Bones is turning them out really nicely.

As for the ending, I think it's probably my new favorite. Because there was MOAR PRIDE EPICNESS!!! And also the shot of Riza's tattoo. Though I must agree with Irena a little bit here. I wonder if it will just go unexplained for the rest of the series? I mean, I don't know if it would be all that difficult to put the pieces together if you didn't read the manga, but it seems like it might be too late to add a sequence to explain the significance of it. Meh. Anyway. Both the OP and ED are amazing. I just hope that Bones can continue to outdo themselves!

I liked the OP. I enjoyed the ED as also but I was wondering about the identity of the hands. Since they first showed three hands, I was guessing Ed, Al and Winry. Then, they focused on the two hands. I'm thinking its Hohenheim and Trisha.

I think it's just symbolism, and not meant to be anyone's hand specifically. In the end, everyone joins hands and work together towards a common goal. The big hand represents the adults, while the small hand represents the youngsters (Ed, Al, Winry, May...)...at least that's what I think.

I'm thinking it wasn't anyone's hands in particular but it is worth noting that the hands belong to an adult and a child (the smaller hadn is way too small to be a womans) so maybe Ed and Hohenheim? I'm thinking it's more symbolism than anything lol

Also about the ED- with the tempo of the music and the animation, anyone else get the feeling that it's almost more like an opening than an ending? That continuous shot of all the characters- ed, Al, the chimeras, scar, etc- seems like something you would more likely see in the opening credits.
