If you wish, you can tell any odd or unusual habits or facts you have about yourself.
dreamcatcher_alchemist
erm... I slept in a bath tub once... I can also bend my thumbs back way behind my knucles. is a fun thing to to gross people out with.
Gashole
I can crack my legs 6 different ways (not including my toes).
Ailuro
I can crack my neck just by bending it far enough to the left or right. Its probably a bad thing though.
dreamcatcher_alchemist
... I ate a cooked worm once... (and I'll never do it again, might I add)
RoyxRiza BigFan
my online nick here *_________*
AoiSora
My friends and I once broke into school to finish our finals! dry.gif good thing you guys don't know where....and yes this is my Art College
Thievesvinegar
I dance under the moon sometimes.
Quistis88
There is always a dictionary by my bed. And I actually read it every once in a while.

Go ahead and tell me I'm a geek. laugh.gif
Ailuro
Nah. Cause then I'd be calling myself a geek. I do the same thing. x3

I had my front teeth broken for the second time yesterday.
Lady Battousai
*giggles*

I have a habit of writting fanfictions at night and I mean way late at night.

I also have a habit on not losing to my auntie in fights since I'm a very stubborn girl.

laugh.gif Don't worry about it. I have a fascination of dictionaries as well. I have a habit of carrying a pocket dictionary everywhere even if I know I'm not going to use it (by now it's in a very bad condition) and back home I have a Longman dictionary by my pillow. rolleyes.gif

The worst part is not only do I read it, but I actually enjoy doing so. (Well, Longman makes the definitions really clear and understandable.)
Quistis88
Ohh! I love pocket dictionaries! I saw this really tiny mini Oxford the other day at the university bookstore, and I wanted it! So expensive though . . . I enjoy reading the dictionary, too. biggrin.gif It's nice to know I'm not alone.

I also carry a calculator around. A small one, not a huge graphing calculator. It makes people think I'm a mathematician, when people who really know me knows that I'm far from being one. tongue.gif
Fullmetal Elric
my favorite food is rabbit........its so deliciously sad!

Maybe we should go to a support group or something.
FidelChevalier
this is something very interesting indeed...as for me...I have a habit of don't want to put effort into things ...or whatever...so my works are always messy or neat...I have a habit of not doing anything, unless i have a reason for it....I guess you can say I'm a very lazy person...you can even as my friends if you want more proof... I'll bet they'll say that Im a very lazy person...and then tell you the story of My time of Ruling the world and how I would be and...etc...the story is freaking funny as hell...I laugh at it myself... biggrin.gif
Thievesvinegar
you made no sense to me, although i got the lazy part, and yes i am guilty of that too
xrninja
my room and car are incredibly neat but my backpack is a warzone, beware. i go into cleaning frenzies every now and then and organize my room/stuff for hours. the only place i don't touch is my closet because i kind of just toss my junk in there, but it's a very delicate pile of junk that isn't easily moved and has its own special equilibrium.

and i carry around my pocket japanese dictionary anywhere and flip through it when i'm bored or when i suddenly remember a word i need to look up. and i also keep a notepad with expressions and grammar points i hear in anime that i haven't learned. and in the car i'll recite al's little speech at the beginning of each episode to loosen up my tongue (i sort of stutter and stumble when i talk) and help with my accent in japanese. the "hito wa nanika no gisei nashi ni...." blurb.

umm and i have really long and thin hands and feet (and a huge arch). from base of palm to tip of middle finger, 18.5 cm. feet are 11 or 11.5 US women's size.

oh, and doodling at 2:30am. bad habit.

Maybe we should go to a support group or something.

We could have our own little club. Make banners that say "Dictionaries are my friends" and put them in our sig. ph34r.gif

That is amzing.. o_o You have inspired me to do that as well. Do you have the romaji for it?
xrninja
hahah my friend who carpools with me has heard it so many times she has it memorized too (but she's a huge fma fan too, so...). it helps if you know what the japanese translates directly into though :3 my other non-anime friends think i'm a complete geek and tell me to shut up when i start mumbling it XD

umm this is off of the top of my head, there may be a glitch or two:

hito wa nanika no gisei nashi ni, nani mo eru koto wa dekinai.
nanika wo eru tame ni wa, doutou no daika ga hitsuyou ni naru.
sore ga renkinjutsu ni okeru toukakoukan no gensoku da.
sono koro, bokura wa sore ga sekai no shinjitsu da to shinjiteita.

Does that mean the phrases have something to do with FMA?
xrninja
it's al's intro speech smile.gif i guess it started to stick after 51 episodes and 40some intros.
bryantq
Its the whole law of equiv. exchange thing... Now she has to remember all the variations on it from when he changed it smile.gif
Gashole
I thought so, but the only thing I ever listened to was the "Law of equivalent" part. tongue.gif

off-topic: hey, what are you high school people doing not in school? blink.gif
xrninja
left my computer on last night by accident and i'm gonna turn it off soon. and today's a tutorial day so school doesn't start until 8:35, but i always wake up at the same time anyway. i should get going though because a rep from rhode island school of design's coming in half an hour...i'm the only one signed up for the seminar though XD

(hahah i had a feeling you might ask that)

DarkWater Alchemist
Yay! Now I can practise my pronounciation ! (Which is good if I fail this year and start doing Japanese next year. Anime, gimme a head start ^^)
It's like 'How to speak Japanse, play the parrot with Al's intro.'

Dictionaries are good, certainly when you are non-english (like myself) and a certain word is just not ... there. I need about 3 dictionaries.
Dutch-English, English-Dutch and French-Dutch
German too, but that's not a language I use often (guess why it's in a terrible state)

I'm getting my BF into FMA. He likes it, but he's not likely to be as freaky as I am. He's a geek already, without being an anime otaku. biggrin.gif
Omakase Shimasu
Oh, you're from Holland too? biggrin.gif In that case, hello fellow Dutchman. Geef me de vijf!

Although dictionaries usually don't do it for me. -__- Maybe because those dictionaries don't go with the times and they're... English not American. >__> Oh well, somehow I manage. I always have my parents and siblings. =P

Hmmm, odd things about me? I always have to have my leg moving/shaking/etc. It's not a nerveus tic though, cuz I usually do it when I feel good. o.o Oooh, that sounds perverted somehow.
DarkWater Alchemist
Belgium, niet ver van de grens. About half an hour. Man, it's funny to mix languages. Used to do that at high school with frieds. It made no sense at all.
Omakase Shimasu
laugh.gif Now that you mention it. I have this very odd habit of mixing English and Dutch. Very odd and sometimes very annoying because it sounds stupid. biggrin.gif;; But yeah... if you spend so much time on the Internet where the universal language is conveniently English, nothing you can do about it right?

Belgie! You people with the soft G. I am in love with your soft Gs, really. But man, it's so hard to understand Belgisch sometimes. ^ ^;;

Bleh, I'm "gifted" with the ugly hard g, not many people can pronounce it. XD It's always fun to hear my Aunt and Uncle (they're living in the States) try to pronounce it. My Uncle's hilarious and always over-exaggerates stuff. Love 'im.
Aqua_Alchemist
In a seemingly common habit here, I also carry around a small Yohan Japanese-English dictionary to read when I am bored, it's also funny walking up to someone and talking in Japanese at my school. One person actually responsed. It wasn't funny when I didn't understand what he was saying. Turned out he was a quarter-japanese, and was getting lessons (gives me hope to get some someday), he didn't look Japanese though (sort of the same with me, I'm only a quarter Chinese, but I don't look it wink.gif ). He was really nice though and lent me some 'baby' books, for me to practice reading, haven't got that far now.

Wow, look at the deviation I just typed wink.gif .

Other strange habits-

Waking up in the night and making maggi mi at five in the morning tongue.gif

Using itunes as a music library sorter thingamagig, although not owning an ipod (no one else here seems to)

and some other things that I will write later in an edit tongue.gif
Omakase Shimasu
laugh.gif You kill me. Even though you could be speaking Swahili for all I know. What exactly is an ipod? blink.gif And what deviation?

Maybe I'm just tired right now...

Can't wait for the edit, though. biggrin.gif
Ailuro
xD Kase you crack me up.

A deviation is something created that differs from the norm. Like something "weird" except not as much.. you get what I mean? o_O

Click here to see an iPod. An iPod can hold a vast amount of songs without using a CD. Its portable, easy for transport, and downright cool. Rather costy though.

I don't own an iPod exactly but I have something like it. I own one of these.
Thievesvinegar
hmm that looks pretty good ailuro. what brand is it? I'm looking for a mp3 player that wont kill me with the cost.
Ailuro
Its a Rio Nitrus. Holds 1.5GB, large amount compared to others. I have about 115 songs on it currently and only using about a fourth of its space. Its compact so it fits just about anywhere. Lightweight too. The battery power is decent. Doesn't take all that long to charge either. It has a lock so it won't turn on accidentally and drain the life from it. Although I have found that it refuses to switch on on some occasions. It has an equalizer, playlist function, and you organize it on the computer. Cost me around $149. Not too shabby when comparing it to others.

Be warned that your friends will pilfer it when you aren't looking.
Thievesvinegar
some friends you have
Ailuro
Ah yes. They're quite lovable. ¬¬
Omakase Shimasu
biggrin.gif Thanks for the info. For a minute there I thought I was making a fool outta myself. Lucky that didn't happen, have to think about my image ya know. =P

Bleh, aherm. Nice gadget. I want one for myself and its okay since I don't have any real friends, so there's no way somebody can pilfer it when I don't have my eyes on that thing 24/7. biggrin.gif Unless you count my sister... she's a maniac when it comes to my stuf. >__>
Ailuro
Hm. Don't know if you're lucky or just sad. >>

We seemed to have strayed away from the topic. I can usually tell when a comercial is over. So my brother relies on me to change it back to a specific channel.
Omakase Shimasu
Sad sound pathetic, let's keep it at lucky.

More odd/random things about me. I stack dishes like the Eifel tower. Flat plates underneath, deep/soup plates (bah, can't find the word in my handy-dandy dictionary), bowls and eventually saucers.

Whenever I write, I usually keep my paper horizontally instead of vertically in front of me. It makes it easier to write for some inane reason. >__>
Ailuro
Lucky it is then. xD

I err... what else do I do.. I mix Japanese, French, and English together. I first try to say it in Japanese, then when I can't think of the word I use French for it then when I can't think of the word in Japanese or French I use English. o_o;
Omakase Shimasu
~I'm so lucky~
~I'm a star~

Hehe, I do the same but instead of French, English and Japanese I use Dutch, English and German.
Thievesvinegar
wow
Ailuro
What's wow? o_o
Thievesvinegar
i just wish i've taken french instead of spanish. Ah and my japanese isn't improving as much as i'd like it to.
Carnal Malefactor
My right pinkie finger is double-jointed.
Gashole
I don't know if this is an odd fact or what but: I can read out loud a whole paragraph very fast (perfect pronunciation and all) without understanding a word.
Ailuro
That takes serious skill Gashole. xD

I can read anything backwards, upside down, sideways, any direction. o-o Its cool.
Gashole
Really? I thought that's kind of logical: Since you concentrate on reading the letters, you end up not understanding them.

And my attention span really is the worst to begin with.

LOL, everyone is all impressed with my reading speed in Spanish class and I never know what I just read. tongue.gif
