I'd love to see an FMA game on the PSP, i own two PSP's, but my all time favorite console is the Nintendo DS, it rules.
I'd love to see a FMA RPG, it would be awsome *.*

It does tho. Name 10 great games for the PSP.
All it is is a fancy mp3 player that also plays games. -___-
PS3 isn't doing too well either, for that matter. Too expensive for people to buy, two expensive to develop games for.
(and don't be pulling a "you're just an xbox/nintendo fangirl". I'm a sony fangirl who still adores her ps2 and is hurting over the crappyness of the psp and ps3 ><)

....I notice a trend. Not saying these games are bad, but if the best the psp has to offer is mostly remakes and franchise milking...nothing really that exciting. Disappointing considering how amazing a system the ps2 is.

Well that's okay, but you shouldn't judge a game just because you "looked it up"
I rather happen to enjoy playing these games, remakes/sequels or not.

Wtf, when did I ever judge one of the titles I looked up? Saying Legend of Heroes is a remake is not judging it's stating the truth, and all I said about the other one was that it "looks cool" so I don't get what the problem is...?
I also never once said remakes are bad, if that's what you're implying with the judging thing. I LOVE remakes of my favorite games. Like the FFIV remake is going to be fricking awesome and I can't wait for it. And the FFIII remake? Freaking adorable. It's just that a handheld or console cannot be made great on remakes alone. It needs its own original amazing titles to make it shine. The kind that can make a system. The PSX and the PS2 had numerous fantastic original titles on it along with sequels and remakes that made them great systems. The PSP is falling short and hasn't had anything that memorable. It pales in comparison to the Nintendo DS which has had many awesome titles -original or otherwise- on it that make it a must have.
Let's put it this way: why would someone spend over $100 on a handheld just to play remakes of games they already have? Sure, the remakes are nice and all, but if that's all you get it for well then it's probably easier (and less harmful to your wallet) to just play the originals. On the other hand, if a console/handheld has alot of original titles which look really awesome and some sequels of your favorite games as well as the remakes, it becomes a much better investment.
I didn't buy my DS for FFIII. (although FFII had never actually been truly released in America so the only way for an American to play it was by import or rom) I bought my DS for 15+ games that I really, really wanted, those including original titles, sequels and remakes. And they keep on coming out with MORE games that I want. The only games I have ever wanted the PSP for were Darkstalkers (because the original is IMPOSSIBLE to find) and Locoroco. :/
Sony needs to step up a lot more with the psp.

An FMA game on PSP? Never happen. And if it did, then I doubt it'd be very good. Unless, of course, it's another card game or something like Pokemon(And FMA like that, is not FMA). Games like FMA should stick to game consoles that require controllers plugged into them. And then plug into the TV and electrical socket.
Pokemon can pull off the hand held thing. Yu-Gi-Oh can pull off the hand held thing. FMA can't.

Jan 17 2008, 11:44 PM
That sounds all very nice but handhelds and FMA don't go together very well. The FMA GBA games were rather lame so they decided to make a PSP FMA game, there wouldn't be much they could put in to make it interesting.
There's only so much attention I could pay towards a fighting game with limited moves/options.
FMA DS game just barely made it into my figurative "okay games" list and that was because of the touch-screen features which the PSP lacks.

The PSP has really good games, but they're all ports or remakes, like someone already said, those are good, but still, it's nothing more than the same.
An FMA game could be "nice" on the PSP, not good, I don't know any FMA game which is good, they're weak.
I played de Dual Simpathy for the DS, and I have plans to buy the GBA one, and if eventually a PSP one gets out I'll buy it, just because I'm a fan of the series.

~ New Fullmetal Alchemist Game For Psp ~ hi guys
,
good news ^^ There will be a new game for Fullmetal Alchemist on PSP from Namco BandaiThis post from ANN: QUOTE
FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST HITS THE PSP IN PAIRS Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood's inevitable following of games now spreads to the PSP with
Fullmetal Alchemist: Senaka wo Takuseshi Mono. A 3-D action game of sorts, it leans heavily on two-character teams from the anime series, with each combination creating new attacks. The headliners are Ed and Al and Mustang and Hawkeye, though I imagine there'll be some Homunculis and other characters tossed into the fray. Armstrong and Sig Curtis, for example.
This scans from Famitsu magazine:

The game will release in
15-10-2009

The gameplay seems nice. The storyline - well, I know nothing about it. About the graphics - cel-shading is cool but this was too pixelated, I hope that it's only case of a low quality video, not the actual game graphics

That is so cool. What sux is it may never make it to American stores for the same reason the 3rd game didn't, because the first 2 didn't sell well. Maybe the new FMA series will help sell the games because it has not only created some new fans but reenergized the old fans. This might inspire whoever allows the games to be sold in other coutries to give American fans another chance and let this game(and future games) be sold in stores.

Wow, art looks crappy. (I just noticed this thread hahaha, I can't believe they really are gonna have a FMA psp game out. Disappointed? I sure am.)
I don't get excited about this game at all. I'd rather replay FMA3 on the PS2, hahaha.
This game reeks of fanservice again. (You can *change* the characters clothing? Again?) It's a matter of whether or not it'd be worse than the FMA Wii game that came out 2 weeks ago. Action-wise it seems this PSP game is more promising, since... well, who doesn't like action? I sure do, hence I find enjoyment replaying the FMA PS2 games.
If you pre-order this game, you can get 3 cards (Ed+Al, Roy+Riza, Lin+co.) as well as a password code for a FMA theme for your PSP. lol they never fail to find ways to milk money from people, hahahaha.
One thing that we can look forward to would be the LINK BATTLE function in this game. If you got a friend who also has a PSP AND this game, you can play with each other.
But seriously, who is in charge of graphics design of this game? The characters look crappy (by that I mean Ed doesn't look like Ed, Roy doesn't look like Roy. Doesn't mean the graphics itself is crap... it just doesn't look like the characters. hahaha) The graphics just looks... displeasing. The graphics on the Wii looked better (BUT well the Wii game wasn't an action game, so I guess you can't compare them like that.)
So, who is buying this game for 5229 yen? I know I'm not gonna. xD; (I guess I still haven't recovered from the crappiness of the Wii game...) I find it funny that they still have the two GBA games as well as Dream Carnival on their site ads xD; Can you still find those games lol? Weren't they back from like, 2004? Seriously though, the graphics looked BETTER on the GBA games than on this PSP game. Maybe they just did a poor job on the ads? Hopefully it actually looks better on the PSP?
And this is pretty lol. Do I really want to play an action game with Ed and Al in (ugly) blob mode? xD;; TOO AMUSING.

Overall, this PSP game doesn't look very promising... graphic and gameplay wise. But well, the PS2 action games weren't by Bandai (Dream Carnival PS2, FMADS, and the two GBA games the only FMA games by Bandai, the there PS2 games are by Square-Enix), so perhaps expect them to be... different?

lol.
It's on Playstation Portable not Playsation 3. It's like asking your VCR to play a Blueray DVD. Okay, bad analogy, but of course the graphics arent like the Wii's...
Anyway this looks like one of those games just for the lolz like Dream Carnival was... wow... that game was so bad. xD

I know that it's on PSP not PS3. But still, some games (like Gundam games) still have very good graphics on the PSP.
and I was saying that FMA PSP graphics look even worse than those of the GBA games lol.
