True, true. I wonder who would/will get the rights. The best ones that I know are FUNimation, Bandai, The RIGHT STUF and Viz. I guess it all depends. Though as far as voice actors/actresses go, I think Viz or FUNimation will be best for it. The voices of Bandai also do voices for shows in Viz and Shonen Jump, so I guess, again, it all depends. FUNimation has quite a few nice VA's though =3

Bandai seems most likely. They have Haruhi (and made a mess of the subs and dub) so it seems logical that they would get Lucky Star. Anyone else could have big problems if Bandai wants them to remove all Haruhi references.

ADV would be fine. If FUNimation were to take it, I'm sure you can expect Laura Baily to do a voice, probably Tsukasa. She does at least 1 role in every production. I think it's the same with Caitlin Glass. For Bandai, I guess we can expect voices like Kelly Sheridan, Mona Marshall, ect. Pioneer is good too.

I've only just got into this, I'm on episode 4. It is so cute, and the thing I like about it is that it is just like the random conversations normal high school girls have - it has that feel to it as if it isn't even scripted, I think it's awesome. I see myself in Konata, and it scares me. xD

I love the Lucky Channel as well - the Akira and Shiraishi partnership is so funny. I also heard that he sings the kareoke at the end in the second half of the series, which I am looking forward to!

She makes a brief 'appearance' in one earlier episode. Konata is talking about her cute cousin and how she's so sickly, and there's like a shadow of Yutaka in a little thought bubble thing.

Incidentally, I found a Lucky Star vid using the Higurashi KAI opening. I thought it was particularly well-done IMO. [Though it makes more sense if you've seen the original OP]

I also saw the Lucky Star OP with Higurashi characters, but the Higu characters were drawn by the vid maker. Not as good as the other Higurashi-meets-LS video, but it was still decent. I'll see if I can find it.

I like the hand drawn parodies better, shows more effort has been put in. That's why I'm enjoying the SZS OP parodies.

So Ep 21 Lucky Channel was godly and the main episode had something almost like an emotional moment for Kagami. When Tsunderes get upset at something it's alsways a good moment.

I have to say.......I love the new cast members. While I love our four three main girls, I really love these four 1st years. Especially Hiyori. I see so much of her in myself, it's not funny. Except I never drew my friends in perverted ways X3

Also, Tsukasa's classmates, Misao and Ayano need more love. Ayano is just kinda there but I find Misao amusing. I like her voice. I think both need a bit more screen time.

Misao gets a lot of love on /a/, being shopped into any possible picture like Boxing Giovanni was. It's kind of scary.

"Sebastian" is the best though. Ep. 21 was really his crowning moment.

After watching it more, I think that for a dub, FUNimation would be good. The only downside would be it being licensed because FUNimation does that to their anime T^T. But for voices, if FUNi does take the win, I think should be something like this:

Miyuki- Jamie Marchi

Well that is how dubbing works. Companies get the license to dub the show from the Japanese producers and then they make the dub.

I think I figured out why I continue to watch this show.

It's Konata's facial expressions. They're adorable and hilarious.

Also, there's like one or two moments in every episode that make me lose it. Like in 19, at the very beginning... "chin-chin" XD

A dub of this would be cool, but they'd virtually have to rescript it, due to all the in-jokes and Japanese language puns that are in it that just wouldn't work in English.

True, but I mean like some shows are licensed and you can't watch them online, and some you can. Take the site 'CrunchyRoll' for example. You can't watch Spiral, Negima! or Case Closed because it's licensed. But you can watch Naruto, and Lucky Star. Though, I think I'm just being silly. And this topic isn't about licensed or non-licensed anime so to return back to topic:

Konata's expressions are funny. So is the way Akira changes emotions so fast. One second she's hopping mad, and the next she's all sunshines and rainbows ^^.

CrunchyRoll is actually in a bit of a squeeze because they're charging users for higher-quality downloads, when most fansubs are free and make no desire for profit. There's also a good chunk of licensed anime on there as well, so basically they're charging for something that technically isn't theirs.

Which doesn't bother me either way, the audio alone on Crunchyroll sucks, so I don't use it.

I'll use it to see what I can of Naruto Shippuden and Lucky * Star, then toss it aside. You can't watch the licensed anime either. It just says 'removed', but still has the section devoted to it. But I know of no other sites to watch Naruto episodes that are past 103 or Lucky * Star so I have to live with it T^T. It sucks.

But back to Lucky * Star. My brother asked a reasonable question about episode 2 today. How does Konata take that test and do all that stuff with her eyes closed?

YouTube still has them, but only if you don't mind it in three parts.
