Blood+, pronounced as "Blood Plus", is an anime series produced by Production I.G and Aniplex and directed by Junichi Fujisaku. The series premiered in Japan on Sony's anime satellite channel, Animax, as well as on terrestrial networks such as MBS, TBS, and RKB on October 8, 2005. Aw, c'mon, it may not be as bloody as you expected it to be (though Blood: The Last Vampire, the movie prequel, is quite gory anyway), but hey, at least we've still got the drama, some touches of romance (Hagi/Saya! XD) and action. It may not be that comedic though, and parts can be tearjerkers for some...

So, any fans of the Chiropteran slayer, or her chevalier, or even the Chiropterans themselves? *waves* And if you look closely, you can see some similarities between Blood+ and FMA...

Are the vampires good or evil? or both?

The technical term is Chiropteran, but they do have vampiric characteristics, so yeah. XD

Anyhow, early in the series they're pretty much the main antagonists, just like the Homunculi in FMA. But later on, it turns out that not all of them are evil. I'd explain this further, but you'll have to watch the series yourself to know.

Blood+ is ok, its too gory for me but the people on my website love it.

Actually, as you keep on watching, you'll see that it's not all gore, and episodes can pass without a single drop of blood being shed.

Still, it wouldn't be called "Blood+" if it didn't have any bloody scenes. XDDDDDD

Anyway, I just finished this anime and absolutely LOVED it!

I loved the story, I loved the characters, I loved the animation, loved the music...

Though, I believe only 4 or 5 posts were ever made in it. Tombow will probably get around here to take care of this, but because the other one didn't get many posts, might I recommend merging the previous one with this one?

In any case, love Blood+. Read the manga(s), saw the anime, and am reading the novels (albeit at a snail's pace). The storyline is really neat, and I just love Solomon and Diva.

I know! The ending made me want more! I loved the end, but this show could go on and on.
