The last move I watched was "The Boy In The Striped Pajamas."

It was one of the saddest movies I have ever seen.

Seriously? I really wanna se this movie, I saw the trailer these days...

The last movie I watched was The sisterhood of Travelling Pants 2 biggrin.gif
Omamori
Nim's Island

Only worth watching for a not-so-serious Gerry Butler; his comical roles amuse me =w=

Steel Magnolias

Good god, this had to have been the CHICKIEST chick flick I've ever SEEN! It was amusing, but I was chewed out by my own mother when I wasn't sobbing at the end. -__-;

I cried at the end :'D

iCarly: iDate A Badboy

Hey, they called it a movie.
Prince the Ripper
8 Mile
Not Another Teen Movie

Fell asleep during 8 Mile though since I was exhausted yesterday afternoon, but finished it before I went to bed last night.
Causmicfire

Aribelle
There's Something About Mary
Causmicfire
Taken

loved it in the theater, and had to buy it when it came out, finally got around to watching it again.

Star Trek.

I couldn't say it was a bad film, but it wasn't particularly good either.

First of all, since I've never liked Star Trek and have only the faintest memories of the original series, I'm somewhat ill-equipped to judge the film in certain regards. I have no idea how it lives up for Trekkies and such.

But the action was really basic and not very exciting. (Kirk punches someone, they punch him back, Kirk punches two people, one punches him back, repeat FOREVER)
And the humour just wasn't very funny. Chekov can't pronounce 'v' HAHAHA. Although Scotty was actually quite funny.

Speaking of, for such a supposed ensemble cast...Kirk and Spock understandably steal the limelight, but while Sulu gets to do things for the first half of the film and Scotty gets to do things in the second half, everyone else is just background.
Uhura, Bones and Chekov just seem a bit wasted. Especially Uhura.
Simon Pegg (Scotty) is great, even if his accent falters in his longest scene. Leonard Nimoy is fantastic. Zachary Quinto (Spock) is exactly what you'd expect. Chris Pine (Kirk) is surprisingly not too punchable. Karl Urban's (Bones) accent was a tad questionable too.

And it has a lot of little problems. Like the shallow villain or the ridiculously long pauses, a hallway on an ice planet springs to mind. You know what I mean.

Plus, some stuff in the end on earth that just was not done well.

But the plot does some interesting things. And the film looks quite good. (despite the ridiculous overuse of lense flares. I mean there were liek two for the LOGO!)

So, yeah. I'd give it a reluctant thumbs up, but I dunno if I'd recommend it.

I'm not so much of a huge fan of TOS, as more of my Star Trek loyalties lie with Next Generation & DS9 (as I grew up watching those shows) but from what I do remember seeing of TOS, a lot of the character quirks (particularly Chekov's) were kept.

I've personally seen the movie 3 times in the theater (twice on IMAX, once on the regular screen) and thought that this was a reboot done right and made fans of people who never watched/cared for Star Trek in their life.

I actually thought the cast did a fantastic job with their interpretations of the original characters while still keeping true to their original depictions (Chekov can't really pronounce 'v's or 'w's, Spock's eyebrow raises, Bones with his borderline racist remarks, and a few others). Karl Urban was perfect as Bones and his Southern accent was spot on, though I wish he and the rest of the cast got more screen time.

Do I still have some nitpicks with the plot of the movie? Of course, especially with Nero, but at the same time I wanted a movie that kept the spirit of Star Trek and was entertaining for everyone, not merely satisfying the wants/needs of the hardcore Trekkies.

Sure the movie's not for everyone, but I still recommend it to people because I think they should judge the movie on its merits themselves, not by my own opinions which, at the moment, are pretty biased in favor of the movie being great.

Churchball

...One of the worse Mormon-made films ever, but it was funny at parts (unless you're Mormon, you wouldn't get the humor.)

But it had terrible acting at times, and one scene with CGI was HORRIBLE. But...it was still somewhat entertaining.

Okay, you know how this all takes place in Rome? Well, that part where the Kracken comes out and is all like "What's happnin' b!tches?!", I wanted to yell "IT'S GRANDPA ROME" (You know, from Hetalia episode 18 XD?)
Ya know?!
...
Ya...know?
...ya...aw forget it.

Anyway, I lol'd when Posieden was under water to release said Kracken, and the green-screen effects kinda...failed.

Up in 3D.

Film's storyline was definitely more sad (the first ten minutes were very cute, yet sad) than most Pixar films, but it was extremely touching.

So far, Star Trek and Up are my favorite movies of the year right now.

Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey

One of my favorite childhood movies. I'm more than 10 years older now, and I still cry my eyes out when Sassy falls in the river and goes over the falls.
