Other, you idiots!! His height....or lack thereof. Where would they be if he had been tall? Just like he said, if he had been normal size than he would have been able to fit into Lab 5 and the whole series would have ended right there.

Ed's hairstyle is especially good. Not too weird, but stylish as well cause only him looks good with hair like that.

Anyway, I voted 'other'. The best thing I find in him is his love for Alphonse. One more special thing about Ed is the fact that he's both cool and cute at the same time. I think that's exactly the reason why he has so many fans.

Oooh great topic! Though I wish eyes had been an option. There's just something about the look in his eyes that draw you in. Whether his laughing, crying, depressed, angry or just thoughtful, those eyes as so full of life, emotion, expression. You can see the love he has for the people dear to him, you can see the weight of the world he's basically carrying on his shoulders, you can see so much just by looking into them. Arakawa-sensei just did an amazing job on him. She truly did.
Another asset I love about him is his hair! I love the braid! I just wanna tug on it I also love it when he wears it in a ponytail and down. His hair is very nice and not overly stylish. (And it's fun to draw!) he also does have a really nice arse too...

I guess I'd have to say 'all of the above' (though his 'butt'...I'm gonna take as a 'joke' XD). Anyway, Ed' a pretty cool character. I've read a lot of mangas and, so far, he's one of the best characters in all the shonen genre mangas I've read! (L of 'Death Note' takes second place while 'Kakashi Hatake' takes third ^^; ).

Heh, he has a unique color coordination: red, black, and gold, then there's his bond with Alphonse, his little brother. It's just so strong...I just love how much he cares for him and his determination to get Al back to his own body. Awesome siblings, very cool...

I love so much about Ed! He's so cute and hilarious, but he's also such a complex character.
He was willing to sacrifice everything for his little brother, and you just can't beat that ^^

They never draw him with nipples, which angers me because one: that is anatomically incorrect. And two: It doesn't help me determine whether he has a right nipple or not! *Grrr*
A lot of the time when we see his automail, the chest plate part of it is covering where a nipple should be located. That makes me believe that it is missing either due to a. his arm being ripped off, or b. it was lost durring the automail surgery.

@Hyperthia: I don't really see a lot of anime characters that are drawn with nipples. So I have no idea about Ed's right nipple. But I didn't even think about the automail covering the left nipple. And this is a very strange post for me.

My theory is that, if the FMA characters were drawn with nipples, Ed would not have one on his right side because of the automail and all that scar tissue.
