Tuckersux
Only two things to ask of people who post,
one: please do not bash or insult peoples choices, some people are saddened(word?) by songs for reasons in their life.
two: please say if it's not in english.

Agalloch - "She Painted Fire Across the Skyline"

Not even in the top-5 saddest Agalloch songs.
Slashrose1010
lol, but it is my favourite. I always listen to that song if I am sad, among other songs. Any of their songs are depressing, so really you can listen to any of them. I also like A Desolation Song. Though, I am sure that's one of your bottom Agalloch songs as well.
The RZA

I think it's called Bratja, and I was gonna put that on my list to. As for songs not in english I would also say Suteki Da Ne by Riki. Also,
Because Of You by Kelly Clarkson
It's Been Awhile by Staind.
Phiips
I can name one song and it's "Date with time" by a finnish rockband Lapko. Even though all their music is melancholic, this song is so sad I want to cry. It's not all about the lyrics, they're not so sad, but the way their singer sings it and the background cello, it makes me cry.
Razzy
Hurt - Christina Aguilera(sp???)
Runaway Love - Ludacris
My Immortal - Evanescence (sp?)
Helena - My Chemical Romance

Gantz-Bonie Pink - Last Kiss

If it is some version of the song Pearl Jam covered in the 90's, but on an anime soundtrack, I would agree that that song is a very sad song. It actually made me cry before... when I was like 8, but still. That song is good.

I agree with some of your choices.

- My Immortal (Evanescence)
- Helena (My Chemical Romance)
- The Ghost of You (MCR)
- Bratja/Brothers (Michiru Ooshima - composer)
- Hurt (Christina Aguilera)
- Slipped Away (Avril Lavigne)
- Because of You (Kelly Clarkson)
- Iris (Goo Goo Dolls)
- A Rising Tide [acoustic version; the original one is not as sad] (Shuntaro Okino)
- Calling You (Shuntaro Okino)
- My Dear Feather (Yuki Kajiura feat. Eri Itou)
- Parting (Michiru Ooshima)
- Etude in E Major, Op. 10, No. 3 (Frédéric Chopin; this piece inspired Tune of Separation by Michiru Ooshima, which is no less tear-jerking especially when it's played during those crucial scenes)
- Saya's Love (Mark Mancina)

I'm sure I have more - both lyrical and instrumental, but that's all I can remember right now.
GREEDisGOOD
'Behind Blue Eyes' by the Who (not Limp Bizkit) is a really emotiona song - though towards the end its more angry than sad. And Kansas's 'Dust in the Wind', hands down.

Ah, one of the songs I knew I forgot. When I hear it, sometimes I just want to lie down and stare at nothing, or clutch a pillow or a handkerchief or anything similar.
Omamori
I agree with a lot of your guys' choices; those songs are pretty sad.

What songs I think are perhaps the saddest? Lessee...'der Weg ist aus das Ziel (the Way is also the Goal)' - Peter Maffay (between the verses of the song, it tells the story of a dragon searching for his son, but is killed before he finds him. Very sad, entirely in German, though ^^; )

Another one is 'Wenn eine Hoffnung Stirbt (when a Hope dies)' - Peter Maffay, which speaks of a young dragon's lover (a princess born from ice) who has frozen completely, leaving him alone and cold.

Next one is 'It's Not Easy (Superman)' - Five For Fighting. Heh, yeah, I think that one's sad, nice tune, but the lyrics make me sniffle somewhat.

Fourth and fifth is 'No One Would Listen' - from the Phantom of the Opera movie, and 'Through the Barricades' - Spandau Ballet.

And the grand finale is...'Say Goodbye to it All' - Chris de Burgh!
Little Washu
A few more.

Wind and Yellow Moon by Akeboshi (both from Naruto)
Kind Hands from the .hack//G.U. games
Kari_Neko
My Immortal and Hello-Evanescence
Kinda sad but it's what I got for the moment,I'll probably find something sadder in 5 seconds and go 'Oh well I should of put that here!'
Petra
The saddest I've ever heard is probably Into the West by Annie Lennox
fightingpanties!

cold (i'm still here) by evans blue
the approaching curve by rise against
never too late by three days grace
broken by seether ft. amy lee

and i could go on but i wont ^^ but ya those are depressing ones, but (extremely) good ones
