Wow, those drawings are awesome! Very clean, and great shading. Keep it up! Hope to see more soon ^^
Maybe a little bit of advice: don't add the shadows yet with grey pencil if you're going to color them with color pencils. I think the colors will turn out even better then ^^ Anyway, they're still great.

If I don't add shadows then I don't put any shadows?
Galorfilinde
Dec 20 2006, 08:56 AM
I actually meant that you maybe shouldn't add the shadows before you're going to color them. For example, you can see the grey pencil a little bit smudged through the colors. It's not a very bad thing or something, and I absolutely can't draw better than you, but I'm just trying to help ^^
So, what I'm trying to say is: first the lineart, then the coloring and shading.
I'm so bad at trying to explain things XD Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next drawings

Kitty Chow - Hey, nice work

Although I think you could use more work on the facial expression - they seem a bit awkward.. except for the kitties, you captured their personalities so well! Haha X3
Another thing, I noticed a good part of your works are from already-existing pictures, I'm not trying to say it's wrong but then you might lose your own style while practicing that way..

Other little things are there; nothing big.. like some awkward-looking positions or details and some of the head-body proportions, like in your first picture on your post on this page - Ed, his shoulder is fine but his torso and rest of his arm look too small in comparison to his head.

Ya ur right...-stabs face- xD
I still have my style...O_o It's just practice ^^; I don't have a photographic memory...>//<
Uh yeah, I'm still working on practicing to make everything even, always room for improvement, not everyone's perfect x3 I noticed that but had trouble fixing it so I just decided to leave it that way...xD

Your drawings arn't bad. Though there are some improvements that could be done to them. You should really work on your shading. It looks kind of messy to me. There isn't enough darker values in the pics I've seen. There too light if you know what I mean. You shade their hair in really dark yet the rest of the body is light. adding darker shading graduating out to lighter values will give your drawings more of a dimension to them. If your cell shading try to keep the colors nice and crisp. So they don't look quite so muddy. Other than the coloring it looks decent. Great job on the sketches. Can't wait to see more. Keep it up^^
Hey heres one of my drawings I did of Al, just to show you what I was talking about with dark and light values. Even though mine is done on the computer, its still the same principle.
