"oldest" manga and "least updated" manga are two different things.
InsaneFangirl
Oh, I'm sorry! ^^;;;

Thank you for pointing that out. What I mean is...

not-up-to-date, or old. "Baby and Me", is from 1996, or around there. I hope that helps.
JadeAlchemist
Kekkaishi, I think. I'm not sure how old it is.
Keoni
Mine's Dragonball. laugh.gif, it says it's from 1984, so yeah.. I think that's pretty old.
Edamame
The original Galaxy Express 999/It is such an incredible series but difficult to find. I had to buy some of the volumes when I was in France. It really isn't terribly old seeing as the first edition was printed in 1997.

Rose of Versailles/ Another wonderful manga that is out of print where I live, but I was able to find every volume in Spain. First printed in 1972.

InsaneFangirl
Wow! 80s and 70s, eh?
sen ed
Probably 'Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind' and 'Neon Genesis Evangelion'. Although I'm not sure how old they actually are.

Probably 'Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind' and 'Neon Genesis Evangelion'. Although I'm not sure how old they actually are.
In which language??
'Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind' manga has been published in several countries... Japan, China, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and Korea, I think. biggrin.gif
Sharingan Serpent
Probably DNAngel It's been gathering dust on my broken shelf... huh.gif
Kitty Alchemist
DNAngel
Tombow
My friend's brother has a collection of original "cyborg 009" manga books (in Japanese), and he let me read them!!
The original story, the one in which the main character dies at the end. Good manga!!
beyondredemption
For me, it's Ranma 1/2, and Basara. Not sure how old those are, offhand...
But Ranma 1/2 is one of my favorite all time mangas, so! tongue.gif
FireStorm Alchemist
Probably DNAngel..its been a while..=/
Kal Rommel
Definitely DN Angel...although Kanpai! has two volumes as hasn't produced any more since...
Vampire Alchemist
Neon Genesis and Yu Yu Hakasho
The Arachnid Alchemist
Astro boy
Kitty Alchemist
The oldest book I read it Angelic Layer.
ScarMySoul
I guess for me it would be Legal Drug. Its by CLAMP and they never finished the series. So you never find out what happened to Riuko's girlfriend and how she was killed and such. They stopped at Vol 4. I think they should finish it. It was rather good. A mixture of mystery and shounen-ai goodness. laugh.gif
Kasumi_lvgd
The oldest, for me...probably Saint Seiya smile.gif
Edsrhimp
Prolly Ranma One and a half. :0.
joanne45
Galaxy Express 999, all hail for Leiji Matsamuto!
Chiyo
I don't read all that many, but the oldest would be Akira or Ranma 1/2
Fushi
gee whiz, some of you guys have some pretty 'recent' titles. (Recent compared to some of the stuff I've seen around)

Out of the ones I own Fushigi Yuugi is the oldest, having started in 1992. However, I don't just read ones I own....so I think it's safe to say the original Dragon Ball manga (only read one volume of it) or Maison Ikkoku (once again, only one volume of that one too) are the oldest I've read. (don't know quite for sure, since I don't know when Maison Ikkoku started...I just know it was quite a while ago)
Carnal Malefactor
Berserk has been going for 18 years now.

Pretty incredible, if you think about it.
Lacus Yamato
Basara and Dragon Ball are the oldest for me.
AA battery
It has got to be either Doraemon, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, or Ranma. (and I have all 4 of them... in complete set, in Chinese. 8D;; well, Doraemon is actually still on-going by different people, oops.)

Or actually it could be Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind... I think it ended in 1993 while Dragon Ball ended in 1995..... too bad I don't own Nausicca, it's totally awesome. The movie is nothing compared to the manga. XD
Demon x
3x3 this is was the best selling manga at that time
Sharingan Serpent
Blade, definatly Blade: Immortal
pawnedbyme
hmmmm inuyasha comes ut slowely so i guess that s my oldest one unless someone an give me a website it wouldn't be biggrin.gif
Edward Elric_is_Love
Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Zexion
I think it would be Card Captor Sakura, maybe. CLAMP sure is my idol.
BLue-FIsh
Hunter x Hunter..
*sighs* why won't the danmed mangaka write!
1cor1313
Yeah... It'd have to HxH and Gantz.

Thankfully I don't like them very much so it doesn't hurt.
Fushi
Update: The oldest title I have ever read now is officially Buddha by Osamu Tezuka. (the man who created Astro Boy. That should give you an idea of how old it is)
TheSnig
yuyu hakusho maybe? that's 1990.
and ranma 1/2, that one is old too, but i'm not exactly sure when...
ゆきえいり
lessee.... mine's a tie between Fake and Angel Sanctuary. I think they were both published around....early 1990's.

Popogeejo
Jojo's Bizarre adventure or Berserk I guess. Berserk from '88 and I think Jojo is from '84.
Precis
The oldest series I've read is Maison Ikkoku, which ran from 1980 to 1987, I believe. happy.gif
